Set An Aeon in the future humanity has fled the milky way and entered the Andromeda galaxy.When they got their the were meant by a on of the many races on this galaxy and formed an alliance the other human factions ( there are three) were spread across the eastern galaxy edge.Now as a war between the main human faction and their allies(the ploraxians) and the ploraxians enemies was stopped the reason the humans left the solar system followed them to the new galaxy


Races:
Humanity- split into three factions after they fled their home worlds.The federation of humanity is the main faction,The second strongest is the Nova Repubslik and communistic warmongering nation seeking to destory the Xenaku(the things that ate the milky way) and take revenge on the federation for not helping save their worlds,and then the Free States an Group of xenophobic Agriculture worlds that have broken away from the federation.
The Plorax-Imperialistic aven race that is hellbent on the extermination of the Rumar after the war of Ithonak
Rumar-savage shark like aliens that are in a dumb bloodlust due to a bio virus,Lead by Koruul
Voluptatum-Hendonistic slavers whos entire lives are deticated to pleasing the ruling merchants lords
The mithfell- an aven race that is in a brutal civil war between to super corperations that were once simple fast food joints,its at a point that they have a list of war crimes over a burger flavor
Brissi 'Tir- A large Insect race that almost died in the first great war not they use their plantlike bio tendrils to reclaim their old worlds
The Kjsst-a insect race whos ruling queens have been in a cycle to become the perfect being for many cycles when not on world they are lead by the semi independent hearders
Xenaku-Eldritch,Cybernetic,and relentless they are on a quest to claim all knowledge in the universe by assimliating all things in reality

So, the Brissi'tir are divided into castes. Queens being at the top, worker drones being at the bottom. Intelligence also depends on caste. Castes cannot interbreed, as the queen is the only one who is fertile and if it were to happen it would be "Dissapeared", suspiciously.

C'rok Plor- A famous Volupoteum general in the slaver wars. He was known for his famous exploits, including his sexual ones. His famous sidearm is the energy whip.

James Glenn- A famous commando who is known for his bravery. He is very famous for killing the Kjsst war-herder.
Queen T'Lin'Om- The queen who saved the brissi'tir from extinction. Currently at near death, she is treated with near god-like reverance.

A female general, who was orpahned at the age of three, she is the leader of the 65th Death Guard. They fight the Emperors enemies, and bring doom to their enemies
Admiral Orot: He is a admiral who is known for this heroic actions at Ithonak, and want's revenge after his wifes death. He also repelled the Nova Republisk Incursion.

Yeah. I wonder about the Rumar. The volupoteum have gangs, and there are criminals of thought crimes in the Brissi'tir. The Terin do have criminals, but they are mostly hacker gangs.

not particularly. since pop-culture is continually shifting and not entirely cyclical, the references lose contextual relevancy pretty rapidly.

I prefer to approach world building from an unexpected angle. like with the Yalwenir, who don't really -have- technology, as in manufactured goods from raw materials. they just -do- their crazy high end science naturally.

Depends, mostly. Most of my references are allegories, and sometimes I am very cynical.
