First for not shitposting about Dragon Ball?

Second for not posting about Dragonball, even if it's just for one thread.

why is this at the bottom

oh. sorry, wont bump again

Last thread died, we this thread now. Next one is 1329

You dense motherfucker.

1330. Chill. Have a catgirl.

Next is 1330 if we're counting properly.
I know we've already lost count over a dozen times, but the closer the better.

Whoever makes the next one should remember to link both of the last two threads for archival purposes though.

This is retroactively hilarious.

How do I become a Legendary Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan?

To be fair, we're probably somewhere between +20-40 off over the years of fucking up the number in the OP.

Are we posting in this thread, or should I make #1329?

I've got it ready to post, but if we're using this one then I can just not.

How does the Sins of a Solar empire Jump work anyway, What am I doing do with my CP on the station and do I even get to keep it afterwards?

Nah no need to waste a thread. This one doesn't seem to be going anywhere anyways. It's only managed to avoid deletion for 4 hours or so.

We're posting in this thread.

Is that a real thing?

I can't even tell anymore.

Alright, closing it out then.

A Legendary Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan is a Saiyan with the power of a god going Super Saiyan so I assume finding some way to go Super Saiyan 2 while having the power of a god.

To get Legendary you need to SUCC Broly.
SSGSS involves ritualistic saiyan hand holding to achieve the God ki. I suppose you could get the last G by being a God from somewhere else. Maybe a Kai in a different DBZ jump? Although you might just shortcut to SSR.

How would the First Magic compare to a Kai's Creation ability?

First Magic can do more, but it takes time, where as Kai's Creation ability is innate.

First magic is skill based and costs almost nothing to use however it takes for fucking ever to actually get to the good stuff. It's also Magic and technically summoning/actualization instead of creation. You can also do literally anything with enough practice even if it's prohibitively large amounts of said practice.

Kai stuff requires extensive training to actually get a handle on your Ki as well as even more training to get strong enough to do what you want. It's transmuting your Ki into things instead of creating matter ex nihilo so if you don't have enuff Ki you can't do what you want. I don't know if Kai's can do living things either, but I suppose it's not too much of a stretch to say they can.
Making things pre enchanted might be beyond them and I sincerely doubt you can do things like making noble phantasms. However antimatter to the face technique is totally valid.

I'd say that with arbitrary amounts of time First Magic will win out, but since gitting gud at Ki comes with a load of other benefits neither is strictly better than the other.

Is that actually how Super Saiyan Rose works?

Attempting to go SSGSS with a Kai's God ki instead of Saiyan God ki?

Just God Ki in general. Super Saiyan Blue is Blue because it's mortals obtaining the power of a god, where as Rose is a god obtaining the power of a god.

... So for example if I went in as a Kai in AF then became a Saiyan in DBM, I would obtain Super Saiyan Rose?

I wonder how the reverse would turn out? Becoming a Saiyan first and then a Kai?

>Super Saiyan Rose
What's tha-

Oh God. That fucking hair sucks. And I really wanted to take Apotheosis, too.

Yeah, pretty much. That's technically what Zamasu did, starting out as a Kai and then possessing a Saiyan (Goku).

Probably nothing.

That's what shapeshifting perks are for bro.

I mean. You might get Super Saiyan Blue instead?

Why? With Rose, you're starting off with God ki, so that's how you get it. But if Kai is your origin, then you were always a Kai. You're not a mortal that reached godhood, you were just born as a god.

I don't think shapeshifting would work. It's not a real hair color, it's an expression of a magic supermode. So your ultimate final form would be you with bubblegum hair.

So the primary colors are covered, are the next couple levels of SSJ going to be secondary colors? Orange is probably a miss because it's too close to yellow, but how about green and purple?

Wait, have we already had a green level of saiyan? Did I miss that?

Well, they both reveal you for being a filthy cretin, so about equal.

Aesthetics perks?

Broly's green-ish.

green is Legendary Super saiyan after Broly gets mad enough.

Well if you take Apotheosis, presumably you're not a Kai. You may have been a mortal who found some way to gain godhood.

Legendary Super Saiyan is green. Kinda.

I'm not saying the form would be Rose.

I'm saying starting as a Saiyan in one DB jump then becoming a Kai in another could lead to Super Saiyan Blue.

Because you would be a mortal with God power rather than an actual God. Like Goku and Vegeta.

>Aesthetics perks?
Like what?

Use Toggle to turn off your God Ki when you want to transform? So you get SSJ Blue instead?

Themed powers in Skullgirls is a good one.

Well sure, but you still have God ki. The requirement is "You have God ki before becoming a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan".

But you wouldn't be, because if you took Kai, then you were always a Kai in-jump. You were never not a Kai. You are, in fact, an actual god. I mean, if it was like that, you could just skip being a saiyan and just take the Kai origin as yourself.

The First Magic is significantly better. However, it requires a phenomenal amount of training time to create complex things. It can manifest things like Noble Phantasms or extremely complicated magical constructs wholesale. In addition, you don't actually have to know how to make the thing in question because you're essentially summoning it and not actually making it. You simply need to have an idea of what you want and enough skill to summon it. The big limit is that the skill necessary to materialize the existence of a very large or very complicated thing is massive. You could make astoundingly powerful creatures and objects but it would take you thousands or millions of years.

A Kai's creation powers, however, are intuitive and are really restricted only by how much ki they've got and their knowledge of what they're trying to make. What you're doing is changing your ki into matter on a potentially massive scale. As a consequence, a Kai's ability basically has no real restrictions on it in terms of "skill" since they (presumably) have an instinctual grasp of what they're doing already. So they're really limited only by how much power they've got and the depth of their knowledge concerning what they're making. I don't believe that Kai can create magical stuff but they can transmute matter on an enormous scale if they're powerful enough. They can literally make whole planets using their ki, complete with flora and fauna. This requires no skill because it's an innate ability of the Kai but it almost certainly requires the Kai to know what they're doing.

Reading it, that sounds more like you get to pick a theme and powers that fall in that theme don't make people question them?

Oh.

Well in that case then I get your point.

I thought is was more like your powers can follow a theme and as long as they do people don't question them.
Can't say for certain unfortunately, but it makes sense to me.

Either way, that doesn't sound like it would let you change the aesthetics of Super Saiyan Rose?

No worries, this shit is convoluted as hell.

Devil Survivor 1.

It might depend on how you're going Super Saiyan God/Rose. If you are in a Saiyan form and draw on god Ki from a Kai form you might go Super Saiyan Blue, and then if you are a Kai (or other god) that somehow goes Super Saiyan (like using it's power with Final Form for example) you might get Rose?

Who knows. It's probably just up to fanwank.

>Madoka
Well....Fuck me sideways

Why do you hate me? Do you WANT me to go back to that war from SMT?
But fine, accepted.

Not him, but what?

Hmm...that's a good point, actually. Fused Zamasu had the same aura as the Super Saiyan Rose form despite being a Kai(-like being), so that sounds plausible.

The war from SMT? No silly, I'm not sending you back to that!

This is worse. SO much worse. Because you're right in the heart of enemy territory. The question is, will Tiger take the Bel perk out of pride and fight the mighty Bels? Or will he end up mentoring Abel in art of being a ruler? ...actually, that would be interesting to see.

Shitposter, ignore.

CAPTCHA, THAT IS A BUSH. THERE ARE NO STOP SIGNS THERE.

What's a good point conversion ratio for a customization table? I'm working on a jump for a mecha setting, and the mecha customization table is kind of ballooning out of control. Since I want to let people get a reasonable amount of goodies, I'm planning on making it a separate document with its own set of points to buy things with. But people should still have the option to blow all their CP on shiny technology if they really want to, so I want to make that available. So what ratio should I set it at? For context, it's pretty high-powered for a "real robot" mecha setting, around movie-era 00 Gundam but with more variety of technology available.

Well here's the thing, Tiger is at the end of the day, despite what he calls himself, an Emperor, not a King. He is willing to have Kings who rule under him, so long as they realize they ultimately serve him.
So mentoring Abel(whoever that is) is not exactly out of the picture.

And when I said "send me back" I was actually asking a question. I don't know if SMT and Desu1 are in the same continuity, because if they are then Tiger has already started a fucking MASSIVE war against Heaven and Hell, with his own Demons backing the Humans.

1-1 is standard. 1-2 is if you're feeling generous.
1-4 is if you're batshit insane like ancilla.

It really depends on how much you give to start with, how powerful the options are, how much more you want people to start with, and how you see the balance of CP spent in the main jump to CP spent on Mecha's.

>They can literally make whole planets using their ki, complete with flora and fauna. This requires no skill because it's an innate ability of the Kai but it almost certainly requires the Kai to know what they're doing.

... uh... wha? Sorry, what's the actual difference between being skilled and knowing what you're doing in this context?

Skill is practice. Knowing is learning.
The difference between knowing how to balance knives on your fingers and being able to hotwire a car basically.

I want to be generous, because there's a lot of cool stuff to buy, but I think that might just be me pandering to myself. I want something like three quarters of the table, there's cool stuff on offer in this setting.

They're pretty powerful. Like I said, Awakening of the Trailblazer-era 00 Gundam. Hypersonic death machines with incredible durability and enough firepower to take on armies. But there's going to be a lot of good non-mecha stuff, too. Some pretty nice human-scale items, and while the perk tree is the part I've developed the least (technology porn is easy to write), there are going to be some useful things on tap. Lots of good tech and leadership stuff, still need to work out the Drop-In and Soldier trees. I'm thinking about maybe rejiggering the origins along different lines, though, have them be less about roles and more about ideologies. I don't know, like I said, that's the least developed part, tech porn keeps distracting me.

I think I'll do 1:1. That should make people less willing to dump everything into conversion, encourage buying perks. And, as a nice side effect, encourage me to make sure those perks are worth buying.

It's the difference between building a car and knowing how one works.

Knowing is having a working knowledge and skill is having practical experience I think. The difference between having read a book on a plumbing and being a plumbing expert with a few years under his belt. This is a decent example.

Okay, so quick explanation. SMT is a vast multiverse, and DeSu 1 is in one of the various universes aside from mainline SMT 1. DeSu 1's plotline will be explained in the intro, but all you need to know is that Abel is...well, he's called Kazuya, but he's the latest incarnation of THE Abel, as in, Cain and Abel. He also has a fragment of an ancient demon king inside of him, and he's forced into a war with other Bels for the Throne of Bel, the throne of Demons (except not really, because Lucifer's in charge now. They do have a court, though). The cast, and you, will be stuck in a Tokyo that is being invaded by the Legions of Hell in order for the Bels to win the war, conquer Earth, and kill God. The city is under lockdown, enforced by the angels and the Japanese government, with the threat of God bringing down the hammer if the lockdown is broken. This is reasonable because if the lockdown is broken, the Earth becomes Hell. So not a good idea.

Also, God's pretty cool here, this is pretty much the nicest version of him in the SMT multiverse. He's probably one of the actually cool Avatars of the Great Will.

Still, considering Tiger's History, on a scale of 1 to 10, how bad of an idea would it be to re-start his war?

"Re-start"? Oh, no, Justice, it's already happening. You're just along for the ride.

Don't bother gauging a ratio until you actually have all of the options laid out. Take a look at jumps from folks like Red, Ancilla, and Heavens, since they started the whole item customization thing and that will give you a good foundation to work with. Make builds to see what you like and dislike and adopt.

...Like I said, Tiger turned the 2-way war of "Hell vs Heaven" into a 3-way war of "Hell vs Heaven vs Humanity backed by Tiger".
How bad of an idea would it be for him to kick THAT off again, empowering humans, and using his own Demons to fight both Demon and Angel.

10. God can just blow up the planet if he really wants to. He doesn't want to, because he loves humanity, but if it comes to saving the world and saving the universe, he's going to save the universe. Besides, you're kind of a small fry, here. For reference, Nyarlathotep is a demon in this game. He's weaker then the Day 8 final bosses.

Also, you are literally surrounded by your enemies, and if we go by SMT 2's Metatron to Archangels, Belberith is stronger then the final bosses of SMT 1, the big boys who smacked you around.

See above. It would end with you being stomped into the ground once the big players decide to intervene.

Not him, but...

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you like being smote by the lightning of motherfucking Zeus?

Very badly. DeSu YHWH is one of the few things keeping the world from being destroyed, mess with him enough and an angel will pull the trigger because he can.

No, I get that. I'm saying that's already happening in Devil Survivor. It's already Hell vs Heaven vs Humanity.

Technically, for most of the main game it's Hell vs Heaven and some Humans vs other Humans.

You know, because the government is working for the Angels.

>his final form is not, in fact, Zarya

>SUCC Broly

I am literally a crazy hobo who lives in the mountains and rambles about how space demons are trying to turn the world's greatest warriors evil as part of a science experiment that may or may not be the inspiration for Scientology, if Scientology exists in the DBZverse. That does not, however, make me incorrect or insane even though I have every right to be from the sheer shock of human being the most pragmatic incarnation here. Something really, really weird happened in between this jump and the previous one.

I'm not sure how Earthlings were able to muster up a space agent, so I can only assume in this timeline Capsule Corp teamed up with NASA to accelerate the space program. I also assume something went terribly wrong when they tried to rewire conventional rocket science into capsule technology, and I was warped through time and space into colliding with the Big Gete Star's microchip, which gradually transformed me into a cyborg until I survived reentry into the Yardrats' planet.

What I ABSOLUTELY don't get is why Super Ningen Machine-God is now a thing.

I guess the logical outcome of all this is for all humans to experience an unprecedented technological leap just from preliminary scans of my new form. There's probably also a big fad for martial arts now that the idea of Super Ningen's out there.

...at least Goku's thrilled about it. I'm just. Sitting here stunned at how much can change between a coexistent background between two jumps. It's all still. Sinking in.

I guess there's one upside to this: Apparently Earth legit has the best food in Universe 7. Which is kind of sad, but still-at least I've got SOMETHING meaningful to do between battles. Well, that and what is effectively part time Time Patrolling.

>Ki Deficient [+200] – One of the most important aspects of being in this world, and you’re absolutely tapped dry of it. Ki and internal energy reserves just don’t work for you, and spiritual power completely slips through your fingers. I hope you have some way to compensate...or to hide from the stronger foes.
Does this drawback stop you from using magic as well as Ki? Mainly wondering about magics that use internal mana?

I think internal mana would fall under "and internal energy reserves".

>But I refuse this cycle, and these Witches. Should their soul gems go too far, they will return to being Mortal.
Can you actually reverse the process like that?

Just noticed the Tree of Might for CP is kinda shit, reasonable because the actual Tree of Might was Movie Bullshit (Seriously, whilst Power levels are bullshit the fruit of the Tree of Might from the Movie pushed Turles' PL of ~19K to >300K).I'd prefer it if the Tree did like the Water of Life from Dragonball, being great for the body and the soul but the Ki boost being temporary. Just my opinion,

At the end of the jump you can choose to make your perk-version of Incubation end like that.

Question for Mardukth about the Sburb jump: If someone were to set up a pseudo-Grail War system during the session would there be any forces interfering with it?

Oh, the second cost is meant to be the net CP after all cost deductions. So right after Jumper 01 I have 300 CP, and then I added the 300 CP stipend for a total of 600 CP. Which I paid for the Gete Star with.

Alright, I guess. I don't really know the tree very well at all so I can't say either way.

I'd imagine at the very least, eating the fruit would give you a massive boost for more extreme training for that one hour, though. Maybe you can do like Goku and uh, internalise the temporary surge of ki or something?

Personally I'm way more interested in making hotpot than actually doing exercise, though.

I probably won't need to do any per se during the DBZ jumps, but if I do feel like it I'd probably just wish the training into myself or something. I'm kinda debating whether it's worth using Dragonology and Artifactory to try and make my own (super) dragonballs, or just rely on my other forms of wish technology. On the one hand, having a pet dragon sounds neat. On the other hand, the splitting up thing seems quite inconvenient.

>If someone were to set up a pseudo-Grail War system during the session would there be any forces interfering with it?
Maybe Paradox Space? The multiverse is pretty dickish.

Hmm. I'm thinking specifically more something akin to what Caster did to summon Fake Assassin, but backed with the full power of a Third Magic-empowered pseudo-Greater Grail in order to assign a number of Classpects to artificially constructed spirits instead of actual people.

All the Void ones, specifically.

Hey guys, so I've been thinking (super duper seriously) and wanted to understand something.

Where does "human" begin and end for you as a Jumper when looking at the multiverse?

As in, where's your personal threshold for a baseline level? I mean, a world like DC is quite simple to see it, but then a hop-skip-and-Jump away, One Piece takes that line and plays jump-rope with it.

The reason I'm asking is that I'm starting a Chain where I'm taking human characters and seeing where we would end by the time I figure that we're ready for an End Jump.

I've already got Busujima Saeko, Lara Croft, and Kinzie Kensington on the short list and looking for 1 more since I could only afford 4 pods.

When humans start being abnormal by that setting's standards for humans, that's where something else begins for me. Like Mutants in Marvel are technically not human by the strictest definition, despite basically being humans with superpowers. By comparison, humans in Naruto having superpowers or weird abilities is pretty standard all things considered, so all those people with bloodline limits and chakra are still human, even if it's abnormal compared to other settings' humans.

Yeah, Paradox Space seems like the only force that would bother to do something (if it did something at all) in that case.

You don't have any instance of Doc Scratch trying to take control of your session to ensure that LE appears, and since you have no LE, the Horrorterrors won't probably do much. Specially if you're powerful enough, they don't want another asshole genociding them.

Maybe the Black Kingdom would try to do something? They're the bad guys of the game, after all.

For me the minute I took This Is, In Fact, My Final Form and started freely mixing and matching all my alt forms powers

For everyone else it's when they stop being recognizably human

Are we talking about humans as a species or as 'people'?

If the former, I usually recognize as humans what is considered as such in the setting. Sometimes that includes advanced cyborgs if they have developed together with the regular humans and are integrated in society.

If the latter, usually anything that isn't divine and can talk.

>I've already got Busujima Saeko
I must have stroked out for a second because I read that as Benjamin Sisko
