Anyone use the special play cards? Is either deck particularly good compared to the other? I'm not sure why they split them like they did.

They can be fun, and I think it's to limit two effects from the same deck happening to one side, isn't it?

Can anyone explain why the new dwarf team has a piece on most of their backs that just covers a small hole? Why didn't they just make it already part of the figure on the mold?

Haven't seen them, but even a small hollow can help stop bubbles and warping while the plastic is setting in the mold.

The thicker a chunk of plastic it is, the more likely that is to happen, especially with softer plastics like the stuff GW produces.

Starting my first tabletop league soon. How do you guys go about marking what skills people have (rather than just remembering by player number)? I hear people talk about skill rings, but I don't think there's any out yet that fit the new 32mm bases.

I know and remember my players by their facial features. If you can't even recognize your own players and their skills how can you call yourself a coach?

It's more so I have a visual aid for my opponents desu, rather than constantly going "oh THAT guy has block, THAT guy has guard" and the like throughout the game.

There's meant to be a lot of updates to leagues, including seeding, swiss system, and non-random scheduling.

How much is that, compared to what we can do in FUMBBL?

Not as much because fumbbl allows more options. But it is really all you need. Thing is that stuff should have been in from the start.
