First, theoretically, let's say I hack off Nesaie Alke's CCW and replace it with a chain rifle (probably from the cheeki breeki spec-ops extra weapon sprue) and leave off the spitfire on her back. Could I then legally use it as a chain rifle Thorakites?

Second, let's say you have a unit with Scavenge, in my case the female Bandit model. You get an extra weapon from anywhere and hack it onto the model (in my case onto the Bandit's open hand); the trooper does not have a profile for that weapon, but the fluff explaination is that the unit scavenged the weapon. Would this cause issues at a tourney?

Why would you do the latter?

First, forget about what CB says, they have strict proxy rules and 99% of events have some proxy allowance (max # or #% proxies, unit must match but weapon doesn't have to, etc.). So anything I say will vary from event to event, ask your organizer.

Second, Nesaie is not a Thorakites, she just links like one, they are different units. Just like Myrmidon Officer and Myrmidon are different units.

Third. one of the stock Irmandinhos has a combi rifle (no combi loadout so it's only available from Booty/Scavenger) and I haven't ever seen it cause problems. Then again, this might happen because it's stock and they might be less lenient towards someone who goes out of their way to be non-WYSIWYG, so YMMV.

Except for some very anal people I have never seen anyone actually enforce WYSIWYG, proxies are mostly accepted or encouraged

Generally proxies are fine unless they are confusing. In small numbers and made clear to your opponent, I see no issue.

What about load outs that have models. I need 3 thorakites with chainrifles as FO, but am not going to buy 3 starter boxs to get them, Is it ok If I use the combi rifles one as a chainrifle, and maybe the LGL one too, if I cut the LGL off?

Usually yes, without any conversions needed.
I commonly see Fusilier Hacker used as FO, just to signify that this guy is a specialist.

Such a thing is possible Celestial Guard (+Crane Rank) is pretty solid on its own, now with available Mad Traps for extra protection from Jack-Xi Zhuang, just that if you go for a Wu Ming core you might find yourself gravitating to "Limited Insertion" type lists.

No, it's not nearly that simple. The problem is that the vast majority of morats don't actually want to rape you, and even the ones that do probably won't unless it's convenient and they're unlikely to be discovered. You need to go out of your way to cause it. I'd expect aphrodisiacs to be quite valuable here.

Glaze medium is a diluting fluid that turns normal paint into a glaze. Vallejo's Air line of paints are specifically formulated for airbrushes.

Is shooting someone trying to claim an objective a face to face roll? My group has been playing it that way, but the way they word it it sounds like both actions have to be able to cancel the other. So getting shot would definitely cancel the the objective claiming, but claiming doesn't effect the shooter. Its pretty vague as is, I wish they just laid out a list of opposed actions that result in a face to face roll.

Typing this out a reflecting on it I feel even stronger that we've been doing it wrong, as we've also been counting shooting a medic trying to revive someone as a face to face, but it just doesn't make sense in my head now. What the hell is a face to face roll besides shoot-shoot, shoot-dodge, hack-hack hack-reset?

Nope. Only the various kinds of attacks and dodges prompt face to face rolls. If it isn't an attack and it doesn't say that the unit dodges in the skill's description, it's a normal roll.
