I'm not sure why it spiked. The tech has a very large potential to be useful, but the thing people seem to forget is what was hinting - the ripple tokens in the public ripple chain aren't the ones that big banks are using. They'll just use the tech in private chains for transfers.

Most likely transferred from Ripple themselves to their banking partners, possibly SBI Holdings, a Japanese Financial firm that works with a consortium of banks there. They're planning to test the network with their Korean bank partners this Spring 2018.

I'm just HODLing. Bought 9700 XRP for about $500. If it goes to $10, then I made $5k, not bad. If it actually has the potential to go to $100, woo woo, $50k for me. But somehow, I doubt that is going to happen....seems like a lot of people have a ton of XRP. $10 seems like the most realistic top.
