Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli which started with a bunch of Spaniards playing a sci-fi RPG together yet we're still waiting for the system to be released.
I've got a Tournament this weekend, are these lists at least decent, or am I retarded? Missions are Show of Force, Supremacy, and Transmission Matrix, and I know there will be a Yu Jing player and a Onyx player, potentially Nomads and USAriadna as well.
I'm a little less impressed with the second list. Double Fiday alpha strike sounds hilariously fun, but I'm worried it might be too gimmicky for a tournament setting.

Rule question:
1. For 'Reset', rules say I MAY apply Guts Roll rules after winning a FtF WIP roll. Do I choose if I make a guts roll or not, or do I have to?
2. For 'Dodge' it says that one must lay out the dodge special movement (in ARO) before the roll is made.
I was wondering what situations make this relevant? The couple games I played so far, we usually forgot or ignored this, with seemingly no detrimental effect to the game, announcing the dodge movement's path after the roll.
Asking because I aim for a deeper understanding of the rules.
Michael Hernandez
I like seeing middling and amateur paint jobs and overall schemes. Post an army group shot of yours.
Zachary Lee
Rookie Bakuunin user here.
Can I get a nice list for the bakuunin sectorial that'd work for a noobie?
This should get the ball rolling. If you are willing to proxy loadouts, you can minimize extra purchases. It uses all of the starter box models, though I feel the Moira is a bit extraneous. They really are best served when they get a hold of the big gun, but the existing SWC weapon users are hard to argue with.
Anyway the key is obviously the Riot GRRL core fireteam. 5 man heavy infantry pain trains are extremely compelling and the GRRLS are among the leanest and the meanest. Very good hacker protection with the tinbot with a killer hacker zero ready to punk hacker that tries.
Oliver Clark
Thanks a bunch for the list user.
Gonna pick up a couple other faction starters so me and friends can play outside of the local groups loaners.
Any other armies you'd recommend?
Colton Wood
1: Guts roll after surviving a hacking attack is mandatory, as it is an attack.
2: CB just likes to have intentions made clear before dice are rolled, it's really of no consequence in that context.
Ryder Garcia
I understand everything but the Moira. There doesn't seem to be any point to her. Lacklustre short range guns on an expensive and slow unit.
Zachary Thompson
Really it depends on playstyle and how much you like the look of models.
If you are looking to get to 300 economically, the 300 point army boxes are tough to beat.
Tohaa is a damn solid box overall, packing a lot of the must haves in one convenient box. Just add a Gao-Rael and Hatail for proxy duty and you've got a lot to work your head around. The Kosuil, upcoming Sukeul, and Rasails are solid additions for variety. My only issue is that some of the included models are a bit difficult to assemble (damn Clipsos).
Onyx is a bit rougher as a starter as it starts with two coreteams, but it is functional. All the models are new and thus fairly easy to assemble. Add a Samaritan, Med Tech Obsidon Medchanoid (aka Doc Worm), and Missile Launcher Noctifier to mix things up. Next stops include the Unidron SWC box, Ikadron, and perhaps the Sphinx.
Imperial Service can create it's own box with the Imperial Service Starter, Wu Ming Assault Corps box, and a Kanren. It, like Onyx, has two core fireteams out of the box, but is still functional. Also all new models. The fifth Wu Ming, a Gui Feng spec ops, and a Ninja can help round out some options. Expansions include the Yaokong or Yaoxie remotes, the infamous Kuang Shi, or the Su Jian depending on your preference. Picking up the NInja and Hsien from Red Veil isn't bad either.
That said, the last two options are for specific sectorials. Sectorials can get a little focused into certain styles of play compared to the Vanilla factions.
If you want something smaller scale, the two starters Icestorm and Red Veil are pretty good. Just keep in mind Red Veil comes in a little heavier points wise than Icestorm.
Benjamin Bailey
obviously this is only half of my army
Nathan Green
Holy shit, that's a great source for reaction images.
Michael Russell
Which half?
Juan Young
You failed your discover roll for the joke.
John Ramirez
also a good interpretation since most camo guys are on the left
Benjamin Ramirez
The idea for the list was to try minimizing extra purchases.
A worthwhile swap would be Avicenna, an extra moderator, and a Morlock for the Moira and Daktari.
As is the Moira isn't a bad shooter. In Suppression, she'll help hold down the shorter lanes that the HMG and ML miss.
Caleb Howard
In that case then freeing up one point for a multi rifle would be a smart move as it has far superior supp fire.
Michael King
HD doesn't allow a Discover roll.
Ryder Rogers
Here's a from-behind shot of my CA.
Isaiah Rivera
I'll have you know that I excel at being an amateur
Ryan Stewart
There's also this for a budget 200pts one
Jason Lopez
love the clonetrooper style.
Landon Thomas
A thing I noticed about Aquila Guard is that he has a Shock CCW listed, but none sculpted. Old HMG Aquila had a sword. However he also conveniently has his arm out hand clenched, so he could be holding something. And I have a lot of 40k bits lying around... So: Chainsword, Power Sword or Thunder Hammer? I'm leaning towards chainsword myself.
Anthony Gray
This shouldn't even be a question, chainswords are far cooler than regular swords.
Brandon Nelson
>chainsword Only if you want to be immediately outed as 40fag.
Camden Nguyen
There's hardly anyone in wargaming that hasn't been at some point. Also "Aquila Guard". And it's an elite Heavy Infantry guy in a coat, just to look badass. Come on.
Ryan Cook
it'll look out of place no matter what you pick
either swap his hand for a MO knight's hand+sword, or leave him with the shockCCW tactical fist
Kevin Perry
With the number of Infinity players coming from 40k (I'd guess more than 80%) that shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Jaxon Ross
It's the difference between having played shit and now knowing better, and still liking shit.
Also: >Aquila >it's only a 40k symbol and not a Roman one! Granted, the "HI in coat" thing is retarded.
Anthony Phillips
Chainswords aren't new, mang. I haven't played 40k in years and I've still got some lying around.
>Granted, the "HI in coat" thing is retarded. Not really. The Aquila's coat isn't all that good for anything other than looking like a pimp and maybe pockets, but the concept is sound. Coats can protect your servos from mud or sand, and they also help keep the heat in when you're in cold environments.

>You'll never be Nomad Hacker >You'll never see a father knight sharpen his sword and prepare for war >You'll never share Drinks with the Scottish troops whilst on a drop troop >You'll never have a cute Haq doctor check if you're combat ready >You'll never have a Morat renegade praise you >You will never have Mymrodim protect you for the mission
>You'll never be apart of a suicide squad that assaults a CA position to protect parts of Paridsio
Austin Brown
I really should take vanilla for another spin sometime, it's been ages.
Chase Hill
What orange? I wanna steal the shades for my Terracottas.
Easton Martinez
>You'll never be a Shasvatii infiltrator >You'll never see a Morat turn from from a disciplined soldier into a rabid beast and back again within seconds >You'll never play high stakes games of hide and seek with a Maakrep >You'll never have your automated medical equipment bring you back from the brink of death so you can annoy more humans >You'll never be told by a Zerat that camo is for cowards and thank her for her kind compliment >You'll never have Umbra-senpai fail to notice you
>You'll never beat down the pathetic human resistance until they are eventually permitted to join the gang and go on space adventures kicking the shit out of other alien species
Logan Collins
>you will never be taken as a POV by Oznat >she will never claim you as her husband
Alright, thanks so far. I'm not entirely content with
>1: Guts roll after surviving a hacking attack is mandatory, as it is an attack.
Surviving a hacking attack and making a Guts Roll to me means succeeding a BTS roll (or failing it, and simply surviving the consequences the attack; having your comms equipment damaged f.e.). So in these cases the Guts Roll is clear.
But making a Guts Roll after winning a FtF seems odd, as f.e. you don't make a Guts Roll after winning a BS attack FtF.
So I see it as kind of in a special place. And it being in a special place, I still wonder if "may" in this context means "making a Guts Roll is up to you".
(Which effectively means you would have a choice between outcomes: decide against the roll means not having to suffer a failing roll, deciding for having to make the roll means getting the option to automatically fail it.)
I'm new, and seeing how bloated this assumption seems after having it written out, I start to feel that it's simply mandatory. Still would like to hear if there are other opinions.
Hunter Murphy
>Morats taking prisoners >Morats having sex with other species. I understand that Veeky Forums is supposed to be waifu-central, but the guys that refuse to be served by slaves from other species might not be the best choice for interracial union.
Nolan Perry
Some gender equality, tho.
Joshua Long
The man can have a hope. Also, is there any picture of how spacecraft looks?
Ayden Taylor
That's a dope look. Nailed the camo without it being too much like camouflage.
Solid, that bone and orange makes a good scheme, and it also reminds me that most of the time that I've seen EVO remotes played, it was with CA. Don't know why people who play human factions aren't as prone to using it.
Excellent in the department of looking unified. As a group it's pretty good but it definitely looks like I don't want to look to closely at any particular model. I've been playing Vanilla Yu Jing a lot recently, never thought I wouldn't have missed link teams.
What if the shock CCW is the Panzerfaust he's modeled with but doesn't use?
Xavier Fisher
Thx. My first tried at camo were too good at camo and ugly looking. I am satisfied. Also my inspiration:
Gavin Smith
Take your propaganda out of here. Remove Alien scum, Remove Artichoke. We don't need your shit overlords who can't even competently control an empire.
Jordan Torres
I'm afraid your only hope is to rape her. Or to build up a trustworthy relationship by exchanging top secret intel about the Shasvastii and [insert you least favorite human faction here], and then manage to impress her by killing a Sogarat in melee and eating his still beating heart. And then rap... court her like a morat. Whatever your choice is, good luck, you'll need it.
About ships, N2 had some gunships on the cover, the moiras art and human sphere cover both had sa couple fighters, but I don't remember seeing one of the big ships. Maybe with the next human edge fluff. As you said one can hope.
Benjamin Jackson
Some of the RPG updates have ships in them. There's a picture of a Circular, at the very least.
Charles Murphy
>We don't need your shit overlords who can't even competently control an empire. So, remove Aleph then?
Jordan Lopez
I don't want tanks and stuff but I would like to have gunships or the very least flying drones.
Eli Gutierrez
the fluff also had mosquito-sized recon drones (for PanO iirc).
Nicholas Russell
Its sweet but it would require me playing Nomads.
Maybe have it as a piece of deployable kit, like how Crazy Kolas kinda work. Infinity is missing more recon drones.
Imagine having a drone operator, deploy a drone, then use the drone to forward Observe
Jonathan Long
Flying drone perimeter weapons does sound kind of cool.
G:Synch flying drones also sounds cool.
Josiah Nelson
Warcor has aerocam.
Jack Evans
So what did you use as HVT's before the HVT's came out?
I recall a guy using Chewbacca, I personally just used a Tiger Soldier I painted but otherwise didn't use, or some other random model from my army like a Karakuri.
Ryder Long
It just has 360 degrees and thats just it. The Aerocam doesn't do much.
Hudson Edwards

Say that to my face not online see what happens
Evan Gomez
If you win the F2F roll with Reset you may choose to apply guts. Meaning you can try and move out of range of the comms attack, following the guts rules. Doing this is optional.
If you fail the F2F roll you'll have to take a BTS save. If you survive you will be forced to make a guts check.
It's basically allowing you to move similar to successful dodge, but in a less straight forward manner.
Bentley Torres
Does anyone have the early concept art for the Tohaa? When they weren't humans with artichoke heads
how the fuck does that work ? playing matriochkas with ships seems like a complete waste of time.
Xavier Gomez
Im sweatin bullets here, trying to make a show of force list with Acon againts space japs. Brought a bagh mari link and forgot we were playing tagline round 5. So now my link is blind againts some plasma slinging fuck
Jose Sanchez
Oh man, I remember seeing that. They were cute little guys the size of Crazy Koalas and I'd much rather have had them as an army than the rubber forehead aliens there are now.
It's in a book, but I don't have it and this was the best I found.
Jackson Gray
>Imagine having a drone operator, deploy a drone, then use the drone to forward Observe So, almost like the standard G:RP sensor drones?
Gabriel Roberts
Isn't it true that all three Nomad ships can fit in one circular?
Oliver Parker

Ryan Brooks
>(I'd guess more than 80%) >dat projections
Camden Ward
We could have had bubble bobble kappa from space.
Brody Jackson
Sort of but with much longer range than 8 inches. Are make it more mobile.
Nicholas Brown
You can either have ALEPH or catgirls. I think the choice is obvious.
Evan Ramirez

Eli Taylor
What's the faction with more butts?
Josiah Cox
Another pic of my PanO. Going to a tournament in the coming weeks
Matthew Hall
Last pic I promise. I hope you guys like
Logan Williams
Dunno, but Ariadna is the faction with the best butts.
Cameron Hughes
What about the fluffy ta- oooh I see what you did there.
Leo Martin
Does anyone have plans for the RPG?
I'm planning to run a campaign that will advance the setting in ways that I don't think CB ever would, starting with the CA over-running Paradiso Fall of Reach style. Then the PCs have to take on more urgent missions from O-12 as the CA push deeper into the Human Sphere and the situation becomes increasingly desperate.
Joshua Cook
Good luck, user.
The lack of fuckable females would have doomed that from the start. Look at what happened to the Exrah
Christopher Powell
>t. Antipode handler
Asher Jackson
That's not the EVO for CA, but people run them more there because CA's EVO is on a 40mm base and comes with a Combi. It's just better than the human ones.
Charles Fisher
Sure, fight me. I'll say it to your face.
Adam Hughes
Pictured here is the EVO
Isaac Stewart
Also comes with the amazing Exile program, and Goodnight. Way better than human ones.
Logan Collins
Hope you bring a rulebook or tablet to prove to people basic stuff like 6th Sense allows you to delay your ARO or that the +1 Burst from dual pistols doesn't apply to the reactive turn. Don't forget your dice, lists, courtesy lists, markers, and tape measure.
Have fun in your tournament, and may your WIP rolls pass!
William Torres
True, but neither program is as important as coming on the smaller base and a gun standard. That alone makes the EVO more than just corner case tricks (which Exile and Goodnight add to).
Tyler Young
If auxbots could fly
Levi Robinson
I too use Reddit.
Chase Williams
Bandit would be the perfect protagonist for an Infinity single player video game.
>cool and evergreen mask + hood design >belongs to the edgy but not edgelord underdog faction >has invisibility powers and great CC skills, translating to interesting gameplay mechanics >nice gear to choose for each mission: Combi, Mines, Shotgun, ADHL, Hacking Devices, allowing many different playstyles >can always steal a gun from a fallen foe, carrying one at a time, without TT fanbase sperging about it >is usually black and can be female for free publicity from SJW gaming media, despite being in a non-SJW world >can meet Daktari
Prove me wrong.
Liam Cook
>is nomad scum
There, proven wrong
Mason Kelly
>is from best faction >somehow this is wrong I don't follow.
Oliver Stewart
I agree with you in the point about the Bandit design is perfect for defining the Nomads.
If CB ever makes a Dungeon Crawler game, and they have to choose a unit for every faction, I would choose:
- Knight for PanO. - Ninja for Yu Jing. - Tankhunter for Ariadna. - Hassassin Lasiq for Haqqislam. - Bandit Hacker for Nomads - Deva for ALEPH
And all of them fighting against evil Unidrones.
Landon Cox
Lol at Nomads being best faction. Try again.
William Williams
A Deva? Why not a Naga or even a Myrm?
Nicholas Stewart
As much as I love the Hassassin Lasiq, I wouldn't say it's particularly good at defining the faction. For one thing, the Lasiq is Medium Infantry in a faction defined by Light Infantry. Also, it's an extremely straightforward unit with no tricks in one of the trickiest factions in the game.
Austin Phillips
With that kind of composition I'd exchange Bandit for a Zero or a Custodier personally. Ninja already covers the sneaky Camo CC guy.
Bandit is perfect for a solo game because he's a Swiss army knife. But in a party you need specialists.
Also with WIP12 Bandit is a shoddy hacker, not just by Nomad standards.
Benjamin Adams
What does Ariadna do better than Haqq? They were sold to me as the LI, camo-intensive underdog, but it seems Haqq has all of that plus a lot of variety.
