Will the Fallen Angels get their own Chapter Tactics? Will they be a full army with their own Relics?

Will the Fallen Angels get their own Chapter Tactics? Will they be a full army with their own Relics?

What will they play like if they do?

cool model

they should be like the soul drinkers. neither chaos or IOM aligned

what would that mean rules wise?

jokes on you i dont even play

although i know in 30k there were armies of space marines like that. dont know if they got rules though

warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Blackshield

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Blackshields

Blackshields still exist in Death Watch.

The Fallen generally act alone or in very small groups. I dont think there is a single instance of them opperating in a large enough force to be considered a warband. Also they have been consistently picked off for the past 10k years so I doubt there are even enough left at this point

>Half a Legion defects
>picked off here and there
>doubt there are even enough left

>they should be like the soul drinkers

You mean the chapter that makes the avenging sons look good?

did you not read the link? the black shields in 30k were armies

blackshields in the death watch are just individual marines who serve the IOM

totally different things although the 30k version is maybe where the 40k version gets its roots

A few points
>A few Legion exiles and their recruits does no half a Legion make
>The bulk of the Unforgiven have spent ten thousand years scouring the galaxy for them
Aside from Cypher most of them have probably been rounded up by now

>avenging sons

heh just read about them. they just go around jobbing?

Why that plasma pistol has flamethrower igniter?

Archaeotech

Enough for Cypher and 3 Squads according to his Formation. Add some other stuff and you got a Warband.

Every mention of them has them losing or worse. It would be fine if that was only in forge world, as the imperium losing is par for the course, but they fucked up with BL too.

Still, the soul drinkers are fucked up from the roots.

>specialise in boarding actions
That's cool! Let's see what they came up with to better do their job!

>almost no terminators
>no devastators
>few heavy weapons in general
>assault marines are average

Well, they must value tactics instead of equipment, right?

>spam tactical marines with no support
>suicide serfs
>generally charging at anything, including admech

And then there's the whole lot of retardation to make that mess of a story going

>chaplain gets converted by a random guy picked up in space
>half of the chapter gets converted too
>they rebel and kill the chapter master
>they start mutating and see it like a blessing (not even stuff like holy fire to purge their enemies, but tentacles and shit)
>basically all assault marines turn to chaos immediately
>start recruiting from scum that hates the imperium
>refuse to condition the new recruits
>put the only guy with termie armor left as the HEAD OF THE SCOUT COMPANY
>half of the new chapter obviously rebels, again
>the only leadership left is a deluded mutant psyker and the only space marine captain in the galaxy that is tired of fighting

God. Fucking. Damn.
These idiots lost about a company of marines per book with their retarded decisions, tactics and equipment, and they kept thinking they were hot shit for the whole series. I hate them with a passion.

im dont know anything about crunch but you dont take heavy weapons on boarding operations so tactical marines make perfect sense in a fluff way

That would be cool if they didn't end up in field battles all the time ignoring their shortcomings, and it still doesn't excuse all the rest

anyway i never meant to imply they were good. just pointed out the situation they were in. fighting for themselves instead of chaos or IOM

the do have a good color scheme too. i guess their battle cry is good by 40k standards.

stealing some random ship to use as a base of operations is also nice.

a problem with the setting is that you cant really be evil without also being a chaos worshipper

Hey don't get me wrong, they got some nice bits and a lot of potential. Even the idea of setting up a third faction of sorts was good, it's just that they were completely retarded in how they did it and never learned from their mistakes. And their hypocrisy about chaos was insufferable.

>And their hypocrisy about chaos was insufferable.
>we want the space wolf audience

Not even remotely comparable

...

...

>Soul Drinkers
>not Chaos

Oh boy do I have news for you, and guess what, of course it involves BL garbage!

Doubt it, they will most likely be an expansion for DA meaning you can't alter the play style, just add stuff.

Which means new potential relics and formations, a new hero (Cypher) but no rule changes.

correct also

although on a side note those arent constantly radiating chaos energy

>cool model
>literally looks like he's talking to the little skull thing on the weird ass shoulder plate.
>Sword it stupidly bigly and not carried on his waist like proper cypher
>plasma pistol looks like admech stuff.
>random 'eldritch' swirly thing.
>random little flamer doodad on a plasma gun
3/10

Fresh off the boat, from reddit, kid? heh I remember when I was just like you. Braindead. Lemme give you a tip so you can make it in this cyber sanctuary: never make jokes like that. You got no reputation here, you got no name, you got jackshit here. It's survival of the fittest and you ain't gonna survive long on Veeky Forums by saying stupid jokes that your little hugbox cuntsucking reddit friends would upboat. None of that here. You don't upboat. You don't downboat. This ain't reddit, kid. This is Veeky Forums. We have REAL intellectual discussion, something I don't think you're all that familiar with. You don't like it, you can hit the bricks on over to imgur, you daily show watching son of a bitch. I hope you don't tho. I hope you stay here and learn our ways. Things are different here, unlike any other place that the light of internet pop culture reaches. You can be anything here. Me ? heh, I'm a judge.. this place.... this place has a lot to offer... heh you'll see, kid . . . that is if you can handle it.

>Sword it stupidly bigly
It's Lion's sword. Of course it's too big for him.

check the old model

tldr

>>Sword it stupidly big
It's supposedly the Lion's

If you're still holding on to these you've already made big mistakes DESU. These memes hit their peak within hours and it was very obvious they were a short sell. I myself made a quick turnaround on these but I'm sorry to say that anyone looking to sell now might as well hold onto the stock until in recuperates a little bit considering the losses you're looking at now.

I'm just saying the model is shit.

You can continue with your meme autism though.

Here's the thing. You said a "pupper is a doggo."

Is it in the same family? Yes. No one's arguing that.

As someone who is a scientist who studies puppers, doggos, yappers, and even woofers, I am telling you, specifically, in doggology, no one calls puppers doggos. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They're not the same thing.

If you're saying "doggo family" you're referring to the taxonomic grouping of Doggodaemous, which includes things from sub woofers to birdos to sharkos (the glub glub kind not the bork bork kind).

So your reasoning for calling a pupper a doggo is because random people "call the small yip yip ones doggos?" Let's get penguos and turkos in there, then, too.

Also, calling someone a human or an ape? It's not one or the other, that's not how taxonomy works. They're both. A pupper is a pupper and a member of the doggo family. But that's not what you said. You said a pupper is a doggo, which is not true unless you're okay with calling all members of the doggo family doggos, which means you'd call piggos, sluggos, and other species doggos, too. Which you said you don't.

It's okay to just admit you're wrong, you know?

>wot I think will happen

>The fallen aren't chaos, surprise surprise
>many still loyal to Lion, Caliban was a clusterfuck of confusion
>Cypher has spent his second time around bringing together the loyalist fallen as Lion's final command
>likely hiding out in the webway to avoid DA librarians tracking them
>Dark Angels have a heart attack but everyone ends up being cool with the outcome/Cypher has a cover story that the DA are forced to go along with
>Yes, it will be this disappointing

>Fallen given a box set, mkIV marines alongside the older dark angels upgrade sprue still found in the veterans box
>Rules will likely be: "deathwing" in all but name, stubborn, deep strike, 20 max a unit and all upgrade options featured on both sprues
>Troops choice that can join Armies of the Imperium much like the Gathering Storm characters

I would like this outcome. It's probably the best we'll get

when the lion wakes up i wonder if he will laugh, cry or facepalm

>Lion Wakes Up

about that...

did they give his bolt pistol a nifty redesign too?

Yep, here it is.

Fuck it, I really hate this model. He looks too bulky for my taste and I also dislike that you can see his face. I imagined Cypher always as this mysterious entity going full John Wick/Gun Kata over his enemies. You know the "Psssh. Nothin' Personal, Kid." type, but in a good way.

Just paint the top half of his face black.

You can see his face on the old one also, but I agree with you. I fully intend to either paint his face in shadow or eve just hide it in greenstuff.

this.

Do you really think, that I don't know that?

You're comments seemed to suggest you didn't, so yes.

>REEEEEE WHY CAN YOU SEE HIS FACE
>Bro just paint over his face
>YOU THINK I DIDN'T KNOW THAT?!!?!? REEEE

Yes?

fallen angels have cool aesthetics

is that Necron tech he's holding?

>holding

How can one hold that which he is not touching?

He wouldn't be touching it anyway, power armor has gloves.

I just realised we'll get new cypher rules.
God I hope it's not pistol-in-melee-bulshit again.

His is from the dark age of technology. It never gets hot. And looking at it, its probably because it vents heat so much better, and does not actually start the plasma reaction till it has left the barrel.

Not original guy, but fuck you're an autist. Also, the original Unidan pasta was about jackdaws, not doggos.

FUCKING GW STOP GIVING COOL UNQIQUE ARMOR PIECES TO FUCKING NAMED HQS WITH CHAPTER SYMBOLS ALL OVER THEM LIKE GEIGOR AND CYPHER

What was wrong with S7 AP2 melee? It's fluffy and fun.

>Yep, here it is.
Yeah, heretics indeed

about what? Has anything new come to light?

What was wrong with that? I'd kill for that on my Seraphim.

Meh, 5/10. Started good. Ended weak.

I feel you, I also don't like that he doesn't have any long grey hair modelled, it's not much but it really does take away from the usual bald space marine look. Definitely going to add some to him myself.

I really wish they'd do this for Seraphim, their fluff specifically says they are gunkata fighters. This could also make the absurd price tag on inferno pistols worth it.

Rumor has it ol' Lion is going to be the 'Loyal Primarch that goes Chaos.'

>holy year of the emperor 49999
>primarch turns to chaos
I think no

This, he already fell back in the horus heresy

LOYALTY IS ITS OWN REWARD REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

40K needs more flails.

Intellectual discussion.. you had me right up to that point.

>Will the Fallen Angels get their own Chapter Tactics? Will they be a full army with their own Relics?
nah, probably just formation

>implying

How can he reach that sword there yet even unsheathe it with those shorty arms?

He doesn't. It's the lion's sword, he never draws it.

Why carry to battle then? Lucille-tier of status symbol?

He's transporting it. He doesn't leave it, because it's his duty to deliver it to the emperor
