Network security sustainability will be a real debate to be had in the future. It won't be the one reason that I think BTC won't make it long-term (since there's no way a switch from PoW to something else would ever go smoothly), but it is a reason

I'm in it for actually getting a good long-term investment of something that could actually become a universal currency in the future. That would net me a lot of money in the long run
