In all honesty how will Guilliman fix the Imperium all by himself?
Yes, he's a Primarch, is a specialist in Empire building, has great tactical and strategic capabilities, and isn't a pushover in CQC (though some Primarchs are better than him in CQC). Yet he's alone. He an he alone while the other loyalist Primarchs that are still alive are nowhere to be found (except for Russ who's with the 13th Company).
Reforming a creation of the Emperor that was neglected and badly run for 10K years is one thing, fighting and pulverizing Chaos Terminators is another. But doing both? Can Roboute actually pull that off because even he has limits here. He should focus on slapping common sense into the High Lords and making sure everything is efficiently working, as well as having a efficient logistics system (not to mention reforms that would affect the various Imperial factions in more positive ways). And don't get me started that the High Lords will also probably try and be as obstructive as they can since no way in hell they want to loose power.
Can't wait for the other Primarchs to appear since this would result in Guilliman to focus more on fixing all this bullshit while the likes of Vulkan or Corax go and bolster morale (while Russ simply goes around wrecking shit as always).
What are your thoughts on this development because I cannot see any of this happening without help for Guilliman.
The other Primarchs are just shit. Guilliman is the only one who is actually needed to get the Imperium back on it's feet. The other's are just beatsticks and could be replaced by Imperial Knights with their faces painted on the front.
Carson Gutierrez
>how will Guilliman fix the Imperium all by himself?
Nobody thinks or claims he will. What he can do is take command of the Imperium's armies and orchestrate a more coherent defense against Abaddon's forces, re-establishing 40k's eternal stalemate despite the recent ramping up of the stakes.
Dominic Hall
>High Lords outrank Lord Commander of the Imperium
Austin Anderson
>No, the High Lords outrank him.
Bullshit. Guilliman made them in the first place.
The Lord Commander of The Imperium is Guilliman's old position. He only let them rule because at the time he saw that everything was fine (for now back then).
Now he would simply slap them in the faces for all the incompetence they did.
In military terms? They are not, but calling them shit in general is kind of unjust.
Sure they aren't as great like Rowboat in management stuff, and cannot into running multi-planetary empires, but none of them are useless or completely shit (maybe except Russ since he's a asshole and hypocrite).
Who knows? I just want him to at least slap the High Lords and give some reforms that would make the Administratum more citizen-friendly and more efficient.
Levi Jenkins
I think the imperium needs some real saviors to come down
people who can have a good time
people with a natural charisma
people who care only for what the people really want
Grayson Harris
We do not want another Fulgrim, don't you know that having fun is heresy? It encourages Slaaneshi influence and the next thing you know, you're planet is a mini eldar orgy
Xavier Ortiz
Fulgrim go home.
Jordan Miller
>In all honesty how will Guilliman fix the Imperium all by himself?
The same way Trump will fix America all by himself.
Austin Long
He fixed it before when it was in a worse state, and his brothers were more of an obstacle than help last time.
He'll be fine.
Isaiah Walker
Actually Trump does have competent people helping him, but it will all take some time.
Just hoping here. To be honest I'm kinda tired of this grimdarkness. I'd like it at least nobledark for once.
Tyler Scott
y'all know you want this perfection back in your lives peasants
Joseph Roberts
Yeah he was hinted in the Gathering Storm books and that he's also slated to be the next Primarch to appear, but I'd like him to be blown to smithereens by a Sinister Psi-Titan.
Gabriel Cox
Slaanesh is the god of art, perfection and passion, so he's the best chaos god by far in my book. And the Emperor's Children are, by extension (and noise marines), the best chaos-aligned chapter.
But that isn't nearly enough to make me not root for the Imperium. What did you expect, you traitorous faggots?
Noah Stewart
>I'm kinda tired of this grimdarkness. I'd like it at least nobledark for once.
Get out
Joseph Phillips
Couldn't Lion come back considering that Cypher is probably going to ask Guilliman to help wake him up.
Julian Reed
Alright listen to me you serpent tailed piece of groxshit, if you go any further with your piss stained pubic hair you call a wig, i'm gonna wreck your shit so hard that you wont even be able to walk with you purple dick. I'm gonna shove my boot so far up your unholy rectum that your breath is gonna smell like bolter grease! Then i'm gonna take that little red anal bead on your sword, and push it in your thrice cursed face! I'm gonna flagellate you with my purity seals! I'm gonna order Cawl to build you a pair of bionic balls, and use surgical precision to sew them to your groin where your manhood ought to be just so i can kick them with my adamantium power fucking feet you twat!
Aaron Turner
Have you guys ever wondered what kind of shit the primarchs got up to with each other in their free time?
Jackson Edwards
Imagine how happy all those ultramarines must be to actually have their primarch back.
Owen Roberts
Oh I'm sorry, did the asthmatic Papa-Smurf with the new pace maker from Apple just try to step up from the ICU? I'd try to take you seriously but I'm gonna have to give Fabius a call so I can speak with someone who doesn't have a constipated Joffrey face, but then again, maybe I'll just do my own bladework one more time and put you back on life support for 10,000 years so I can get back to my planet of hookers, cocaine, and blackjack.I'll gladly take what challenges you can toss my way as long as your fancy new power crutches can lug your fatass over here as silver bitch gets back to reading his precious fanfiction and shadow punk sits back polishing his pistol as I whip your daddy issues out of your ass with my snake tail! Before you try speaking out your ass get some respect before challenging class you blueberry peasant
Zachary Reyes
>Imagine how happy all those ultramarines must be to actually have their primarch back.
This guy captures it well.
Jackson Moore
>god of art, perfection and passion But also extremes, sick fuckery and no self-control.
Oh yeah, because it needs to be depressing for the sake of being depressing. I can understand the whole Black Ships thing, the meat-grinding stuff the IG has to go through, and a lot of other things.
However I cannot stomach the things that shouldn't be grimdark but are. No, I'm tired of the whole Chaos Wins wankery. I'm tired of the whole impending doom shit. I'm tired of High Lords incompetence and only seeing the little good and heartwarming in BL novels and some tiny fluff-points that never impact the setting.
I WANT AT LEAST A SPARK OF HOPE.
Hoping Cypher will sneak into the Throne Room and ask Emps to fix the Lion's Blade. The Fallen that stayed loyal are redeemed and then goes to The Rock to wake up Lion.
Saul and Rylanor (probably) died for this...
Brody James
Even IF they did... 95% of loyal space marine chapters would side with guilliman over the high lords. Almost the entire Ultramar sector would unite with him. A large portion of the other sectors would back him, openly or not
Julian Robinson
Even at young age he was able to micromanage Ultramar at levels that would make autists blush. Imperium's potential might be unleashed at his command.
Adrian Reed
The Imperium managed to somehow stay afloat for 10K years and be badly managed by a bunch of incompetent dolts in the absence of Emps.
Now with Guilliman as someone competent and knowing how to run Empires, the Imperium will be indeed someone who will finally stop being on the defense.
Connor Jackson
>But also extremes, sick fuckery and no self-control. As I said - perfection, art and passion.
James Butler
Sick Fuckery is not Perfection. Go home Lucius, you actually drank that barrel of Mjold...
Thomas Butler
that pilot light still irks me
Jace Gonzalez
The whole gaunlet irks me, why does it have fingers if it seems that it can't grab shit due the flamolter?
Gavin Richardson
>sick fuckery t.pleb who doesn't get art
Wyatt Jenkins
>In all honesty how will Guilliman fix the Imperium all by himself?
He won't.
He has to organise the Eastern Fringe and then move on Terra to slap the shit out of everyone.
His one legit move right now is to go 'Suspend the Codex limits on chapter organisation' and form the Legio-Astartes as a super legion. I.E. All hands on deck. Abaddon is doing this with the Black Crusade.
>Can't wait for the other primarchs
Guilliman at the moment is a rallying point for whats left of the Imperium and the only one skilled enough in statescraft to actually do anything. Russ/Khan is probably in a Necron Museum somewhere and Corvax / Vulcan have a fucking lot to answer for not coming back. Further the loyalty of Lionel is so blurry I wouldn't want him back.
That a possible 9 vs 5 split. And thats assuming the other loyalists return.
What I can see happening is Chaos making massive territorial gains and the imperium contracting to an actually defensible size and long term non-aggression pacts put in place with the Tau and Eldar. Then begins the New Crusade where they are attempting to claim back what was taken.
Money proceeds to rain into GW pockets.
Mason Sullivan
8 vs 5 not 9.
I cannot into math.
Nathaniel Thompson
>art >instead of natural beauty we get literal uncanny valley dolls
Yeah no, I'd rather be pleb instead of having a dick growing out of my forehead.
Boy it's going to be fun to watch the =][= lose their shit.
Brody Long
To point at shit and flip off Abaddon
Andrew Long
I can imagine Ferrus coming back just so that the Iron Hands get more popularity. >Somehow Ferrus's Necron fuelled blood has brought him back alive
Jace Morgan
The =][= deserves it.
I can see Sanguinius coming back to life being more probable than Ferrus.
Unless the Necrodermis will use some kind of cellular synthesis and make his body regrow...that is if his body is still around and if the AdMech truly has it.
Elijah Bennett
As seen in the beast novels he is first among equals A full meeting of all the high lords not just the twelve could overrule him but that's unlikely
Charles Foster
I literally can not wait for the lion to come back a loyalist so all these fags who say the DA (who just got new minis) are actually traitors can eat shit and die.
Gabriel Cooper
Not this time snakeboy, i was bestowed with weapon of our Father and the blessing of real newborn god. Imperium and Eldar will stand together in face of odds. We will kill you and whatever thing you dare to worship. Don't fuck with Legio XIII Ultra.
Alexander Phillips
Golden showers?
Caleb Brooks
Agreed. They did questionable things and retarded things after hearing the word Fallen, but they also did good things when they didn't go hunting Fallen.
DA should be given a second chance since Lion was definitively confirmed to be a loyalist despite his agendas.
>Rolls 6 To Wound and the sword goes SD.
And they say Instant Death on a 6 To Wound or simply having Instant Death is OP.
Connor Barnes
It depends on how they want to handle this
>The Great Escalation Robutt calls forth his primarch brethren to begin a new primarch program and a new space marine program. Space marines still stay organized in chapters to prevent heresy (as chaos infects and corrupts entire legions far quicker than chapters), but fight a new focused threat against abbadon's forces to stop his oncoming advance. Abbadon then uses the full force of the Eye of Terror to combat them, much to his own chagrin. He delves deeper into the chaotic powers that he tries to fight off and the warp begins to envelop him. Perhaps he becomes a new aspect of Horus, ascending to a new form of championhood. He should stand as a figure for chaos undivided still, and has the uncanny ability to unite chaos to fight. This ends in a stalemate between a refined and refurbished Imperium fighting against a literal endless drove of horrors and old chaos marines that get expelled into the warp for an indiscriminate amount of time before being revived again.
>The War in Heaven, Round 2: Electric Boogaloo Abbadon is trying his best to resist the chaotic powers, and ends when Guilliman actually convinces him that he doesn't need chaos in order to have a place in the Imperium. His war was fought for power and for a new "Dark Imperium". His Dark Imperium can still be made... but in the warp. Malal awakens with the Emperor's death (or reawakening, with a great expulsion of psychic power) and some Khornate marines and the Thousand Sons legion fall to the might of pure, refined chaos. Malal's mark indicates that chaos will fight chaos, but does not care for what gets in the way, and does not care for petty mortal plights. Malal seeks only to destroy and create malice on the world, but its demons come in the form of the Emperor's light. This odd mix of psychic energies makes many think Malal to be less devilish than he actually is, and the Imperium argues that Malal could be MORE chaotic. Warp war ensues.
Blake Morales
I wonder how Guilliman will react to the Inquisition. Despite how crappy everyone says the event was, the possibilities going forward are pretty damn cool. >Guilliman goes apeshit at the inefficient bureaucracy of the administratum and tries to reform it >Expands the deathwatch >Cries when he sees the Imperial Church
Jose Gonzalez
Omegon would actually be the most helpful after Guilliman I think. He has the gene seed tech and also is an expert at espionage. He'd probably be the one who could reform the Inquisition the most.
Lincoln Martinez
Fuck off faggot. Only one primarch gets shit done and its not Rowboat.
John Reyes
Can you imagine how pumped those SM's must be to get to fight alongside their Primarch.
Zachary Stewart
>Only one primarch gets shit done and its not Rowboat.
Then who?
Caleb Flores
Can't fix what isn't broken. Fundamentally the 40k universe operates on the principle that ambition, greed and hubris will always destroy creations of greatness.
You can want hope and shit, but at that point its a different thematic construct. They'll probably keep calling it 40K but it'll be about the same as calling AoS Warhammer.
Ethan Ross
Agree with except that lion is 100% also coming back
Like this user and this user said, he is 100% a loyalist
To push back abbadon i think there will be some all out galactic war involving most if not all traitor legions and astartes chapters
We already daw from fall of cadia tbat the necrons have a lot of loyalists imperial entities in their vaults, and with the dorection the necrons are going in its in their best interest that humanity does not fall since its what keeps chaos at bay.
Im guessing that more primarchs like kahn and russ and vulkan will wother just show up or be released by the crons
Matthew Green
Has anyone noticed the Primarch model is quite similar to the old daemon prince model.
Jack Turner
No only trazyn has poke balls and the figure he had was revealed to be a custodes
Austin Lee
Forgot to add that if russ, vulkan,,l kahn, and the lion come back then the lion will probably be made warmaster as guilliman heads the imperium seeing as out of the other 3 the lion is the most level headed and least likely to follow a path like horus, especially now since the treachery od chaos is so obvious
Alexander Price
Except he also said himself after releasing all the imperial forces that it was only a fraction of a fraction of his collection of imperial forces that he released
Ethan Thomas
>Johnson's loyalty in question This meme needs to stop. Johnson's loyalty is like Angron's anger, it's pretty much his defining trait, right up there with being not-quite-the-best-but-still-pretty-good-at-strategy.
>Chaos undivided passes him up for Luthor because they couldn't corrupt him >Torpedoes his home planet into oblivion upon learning of his Legion's betrayal >Such a bro-tier (for an autistic fuck) Primarch that Luthor, one of the only three real Chaos Undivided "champions", repented and begged for his forgiveness
Adam Myers
fucking this
anyone who tells you that the DA are traitors in disguise are either trolls or know nothing about 40k lore
on top of what all these people said the lion was one of the only "normal" primarchs (or as normal as a primarch could be). the lion is the only guy you would be able to sit down and have a beer with without him either trying to kill you in a duel or blowing up your planet
on top of this the DA got new minis not too long ago and it would be actually retarded for GW to make them traitors after that
>but muh codex asstartes the codex is a dead meme, it is what has allowed the imperium to weaken to such a degree and is treated almost like a religious document by some chapters, chances are that it will get revised, but was meant to be a guide not a strict law.
Andrew Kelly
Yeah, if the return of the man who literally invented the Codex doesn't see that old book getting some sort of update (good, bad or just spell-checking), I would be truly surprised.
Andrew Adams
The Lion is definitely not normal, even for a Primarch. Luther pointed out that Lion spent a good part of his childhood growing up without human interaction, and instead with beasts. Also, he fucking killed his Chaplain friend and smiled about it because the Chaplain didn't want Psykers to be used again.
Aaron Jenkins
For starters, Guilliman should print out in capital letters on the first page that the codex is a helpful book, but it's up to the marine on how and what to do with what's written in it.
Robert Walker
Seems like that could more easily be done with a simple conversation with the various Chapter Masters though.
Hell, most of them will be tripping all over themselves to come see a Primarch in the flesh, Guilliman might not even have to get on the telephone very much.
I bet the conversation between Big G and the Tyrannic War Vets would be quite interesting though. They're probably salivating at the opportunity to help their gene-sire add a couple chapters.
Ryan Moore
This would be fun to see something like that.
The last one with the Tyranid Hunters/Tyrranic War Vets especially.
Nolan Hughes
>the lion isnt normal because he played with animals >kahn and russ more likely resemble said animals, but are still normal
try harder, the lion compared to the other primarchs is tame and the most human.
Adam Turner
I'm secretly hoping that this is all part of a shadow plan at GW to let the Tyranids come bursting in from the sidelines where they've been stuck for what... like 10 years now?
Everyone's all focused on Abaddadabbadoo, and they're waiting for Guilliman to stop him, but basically he just hands Mr. Not-A-Primarch his ass and redirects the entire Imperium to fighting the TRUE threat of the Hive Mind.
Mostly I was just recollecting that one quote saying something like "Even if we increased recruitment by 400% across the entire Imperium, that still might not be enough to defeat the Tyranid menace".
But who is the perfect instrument to raise such an army and coordinate it well enough to be useful? Big Blue himself.
Maybe for the first time in forever, the Tyranids could FINALLY not have to job for other factions all the time. They'd still lose, because nobody wins in 40k, but it could be a real fight for once.
Almost certainly not gonna happen, but oh what a lovely dream it is.
Isaac Ross
>the lion holds a FAQ style convention that all the chapter masters attend >ya so it appears there seems to be some misconceptions with the rules as written.
Nicholas Gonzalez
It's also going to be a foreshadowing of a 4th Tyrranic War.
With a Hive Fleet that makes Leviathan look mild by comparison.
Jace Thompson
Hundreds of the mightiest Marines ever known to serve the Emperor all gathered upon Terra.
A gathering not seen since the Emperor walked the earth.
All of them waiting with bated breath, completely silent as a living relic of Imperial glory steps forward.
He clears his throat before addressing the host. >ACKSHUALLY...
Carson Nguyen
this is most likely
remember GW has to keep the story going, so if they close one chapter (fall of cadia and start of a new crusade type age) they have to have some other threat
my guess is that they will find another planet or set of planets, maybe mars and titan and terra, that also have pylons that will assfuck the eye of terror into basically nothing and we will see a recession of chaos, but with this recession the nids will be the new threat
chaos has been the main threat of 40k basically since its inception, they may want to change that.
Tyler Clark
>the High Lords will also probably try and be as obstructive as they can no they won't, because the guy who literally made all of their jobs is trying to stop them from all dying horribly
here's how the conversation will go >hey dudes I'm back >jesus how did you fuck this up >ROBOUTE PLS SAVE US
Dylan Ross
Seriously.
For the first time in ten thousand years, a High Lord might finally be able to unclench their anus.
Michael Brown
Oh dear Gilly-man you silly man, a dead man's relic for a dead man how appropriate. You claim a dead god's favor and a dying people's alliance. Are you noticing any kind of theme running here from your dying and decaying imperium? Your friends serve as either hors'devours or fine slaves and your elite are nothing but swift practice sessions before they lie cold on the ground. The 3rd Legion stands at the edge of perfection with the god of desire to fulfill our wildest dreams. And our dearest wish is to dance in the ashes of all you hold close. Our victory is coming.
Josiah Cook
>"You are a snake-daemon and your Legion ceased to exist millennia ago, broken by its own wild indiscipline. Your argument is invalid."
Elijah Anderson
Well, that would make him truly ubdead, completing the vampire motif.
Dorn isn't exactly a wild card. His legion is called the Imperial Fists and the only part of him found is one hand.GW couldn't be more obvious if they tried.
Then there is the Ecclesiarchy. Which way will they go in a conflict between on of His Sons and the secular rulers of the Imperium ?
Thomas Thomas
>The other's are just beatsticks and could be replaced by Imperial Knights with their faces painted on the front.
I'm thinking of that time Fulgrim tried to "seduce" the Knight Lord and got thermalcannoned in the face.
Caleb Perez
A threat to literally everything outside The Warp unless the Necrons will wake up more Tomb Worlds.
And in the case of the latter, I want to finally see if what Tranzyn said about knowing Guilliman is true.
Some will probably, some will still want to keep their influences.
More like Necron Primarch.
Russ is a hypocritical asshole, but a faggot he is not.
Ethan Cox
>Emperor's Children >chapter
Blake Flores
"DON'T PANIC"
Ayden Morales
I wonder what will happen if Lion el comes back, especially since his chapter is most likely the largest due to the Dark Angels flat out not caring about the codex
Jack Anderson
Celestine is all over Guilliman.
Josiah Lewis
That because Guillam is the closest thing to the Emphra's dick she will ever have.
William Peterson
Angron

Christian Hill
>Not this time snakeboy, i was bestowed with weapon of our Father and the blessing of real newborn god. It's so funny how you brag about the power that is not yours but given to you by others. I beat you once not by power given to me, not by superior weapon or armour. I beat you by being a better swordsman. With the skill that is entirely mine. Bring whatever fancy toys you like, brother, they wouldn't help you - I'm still a better swordsman.
Oliver Watson
>I beat you once not by power given to me >Says the daemon prince who flooded the area in hallucinogenic gas
Adam Wood
Emphasis on "shit"
Adam Myers
>flooded the area in hallucinogenic gas to weed out Girly-Man's bodyguards so he could fight fair one-on-one
Jacob Thompson
They were already fighting one on one. Seems old Fulgrim despite being a giant four armed daemon wasn't very confident he couldn't win fairly. Probably explains why he and the rest of the Emperor's Children slithered away afterwards.
Asher Diaz
The concern with Sanguinius coming back is that he's got massive thematic overlap with one of the other characters they are pushing right now, Celestine.
David Nguyen
Zero Primarch kills. Zero.
Brandon Butler
Sanguinius will never come back.
David Cruz
Yeah, I don't think it's likely. Not just from a story perspective but also from a meta-perspective. It's hard to sell St Celestine if you have Sanguinius: Now with even bigger, better angel.
Carter Campbell
well in a most technival sense they are also a threat to chaos, since if they devour all organic beings chaos will have nothing to left to feed on.
