After just watching Fate/Zero I had the urge to make a list of knightly knights for excessive CHIVALRY. And lo and behold tech bee has a stat line!
Question, can we take the tech bee civvie version as a free order thanks to Inspiring Leadership? Or is that for specific missions and the real game piece is the spec op tech bee?
Aaron Wright
>tech bee has a stat line Dear god you're right! But what the hell is a Remote Assistant lvl1?
Ethan Adams
Not only does PanO not get a new engineer, but they also only get the first level of a new skill. I can already see Nomad and CA getting the lvl2 version.
Hunter Garcia
>Remote Assistant lvl1? PDF for it is out too
Bentley Scott
>5 point specialist warcor that passively makes all engineers in the army WIP13 for everything CB I take back some of the mean things I said about you.
Connor Nguyen
point specialist warcor that passively makes all engineers in the army WIP13 for everything That also has a lethal pistol instead of stun pistol. I was already sold on the ass but this stat-line is great.
Justin Moore
OK now what does Remote Pilot do?
Adrian King
>Question, can we take the tech bee civvie version as a free order thanks to Inspiring Leadership? As a beta tester I'd say the RAW says you get kicked in the nuts if you try it. Also, Sibylla won't mark it as legal.
I'm honestly not sure what the point of the TechBee and Tohaa Delegate civvie profiles are for. Profiles illegal in ITS probably shouldn't be in the ITS army builder.
Ian Wood
ah, it's the little TAG bots. Looking forward to the Doctor-Engineer Upgrade Batroid LV3.
Eli Johnson
>Its basically a girl in a thong who's an untrained soldier, whose job it is to holds the engineer's wrench >"Happy international women's day" -CB the butthurt is real
Jeremiah Hall
>behind every somewhat competent engineer is a somewhat competent woman wearing no pants
Honestly though this statline makes the most sense. PanO's backline mechanics wouldn't be ripping the guts out of machines by themselves, that's not how the hyperpower rolls. That fancy robo-arm she's got is probably just to direct the repair drones (or in combat scenarios to direct the filthy Machinist pleb).
Owen Ross
Now THAT's what I call a boost to morale!
Adam Gutierrez
It's finished one. I thought it would look like Nepal map in Overwatch.
Asher Ward
Hnnnnggg.
Aiden Bennett
Ok, but at least give the rim an earthly brown or a dark grey.
Liam Anderson
yeah thats it
Hudson Diaz
Well it looks like shit.
William Kelly
Aren't guija red ?
Samuel Wilson
Orange. But I guess since user is going for a D.Va look his Guijia is pink. Mine is going to be white.
Elijah Rodriguez
But devas are aleph units and they are robots. but I guess robots can be any color they want.
So in the end I caved in and bought the monks. played a few games with them, and the smoke is nice and all, but how do people stop opponents from killing them all on turn 1 when they run out of cover ?
Colton White
Unless the board is devoid of terrain it should be possible to deploy them so they don't immediately run into the LoF of a sniper. After that you need to get them into the midfield, that's where they do their best work.
Angel Morgan
Also if you really need them alive can spend a regular order to cancel their extremely impetuous order.
Though for my use of warband units, mostly Kums, I do a lot of smoke+dodge with them. One to cover the advance of the others.
Brayden Gray
I'm leaving this here. You know, in casey ou will want to play a real game.
Lucas Russell
I don't think you understood that D.Va is a character from some popular video game that the person was trying to emulate with a color scheme. Not a "Deva" although I understand the confusion.
Glad you liked the monks, they're overall pretty cool. Generally what I tend to do is measure about 4" back from the deployment zone edge, and outside of sight behind a building, giving total cover, just moving 4" and then I'd throw smoke around a corner and cover the rest of the advances for others. You sort of get used to managing their impetuous order because it's not an unreasonable 8" movement like bikes. It is indeed a blessing and a curse, as they can often get into tricky situations where they have to move to a spot where they and some allies can get hit by templates, which they can easily dodge but the allies likely don't.
So, the other thing is being careful which impetuous monk acts first, one can easily throw smoke down to protect another in a more dangerous spot, as the effective ranges are rather long, even throwing it 16" at -3 works half the time.
Christopher Lopez
Who the fuck is Casey Ou?
Michael Taylor
How about you get a real job?
Adrian Lee
This is what I'm refering to with D.Va.
Monks are stupid good with smoke dodges. Just chuck the smoke at your feet and you are gold. One on each flank should make your opponent have to spread his MSV2 ARO units if he has any.
Lucas Murphy
> how do people stop opponents from killing them all on turn 1 when they run out of cover ? that's the hard part of managing impetous units. It takes some experience to predict the opponent's movements and deploy in the best way. Consider that unless you're under fire of a MSV2 unit (or multiple units) you can and should smoke-dodge with a very respectable 16, otherwise use a normal dodge. Avoid main firelanes, position to make them go in unusual paths toward the opponent and when in range of chain rifle just use them to force asymmetrical unopposed trades against enemy units.
Nonetheless they're going to die eventually but with a careful deployment they should survive at least until turn 2 and make the opponent waste some orders on them.
Easton Stewart
Oh, welcome back, how's middle school treating you?
Alexander Rogers
Thank you for your efforts! I like to see the usual trollposters return again, makes the thread a comfier place imo. So where's my angry lithuanian bro at?
Nathan Powell
Tempted to start Haqqislam but can't stand their attempts at ruining my painting schedule.
Angel Cox
When is fapfinity guy coming back? I miss his particular brand of shitposting.
I'm leaving this here. You know, in case you want to improve your English.
Nathan Stewart
Rule question: A Kuang Shi fires a chain rifle at Alguacil. Alguacil ARO-dodges, Another trooper ARO-fires at Kuang Shi across the table. Kuang shi declares Move up to Alguacil in the second half, hoping to catch him in the Explode blast.
Assuming the Kuang Shi suffers a wound from the shot and can trigger Explode, how can the Alguacil dodge it? With the same roll as dodging the chain template, with the same modifiers (so dodging the chain would also dodge the Explode)? Or different?
Luis Powell
>fapfinity time is indeed ripe since they just released the TechBee profile
my rule sense tells me the agualcile should evade the explosion thanks to the successful Dodge roll (since all the actions of the order happens simultaneously and a successful Dodge negates all instances of damage). Not sure at all though, that's just how I see it.
Oliver Young
Most countries have child labour laws user.
James Reyes
I'd personally resolve it as the dodge dodges both templates if successful.
Kayden Foster
But the chain and Explode both dodge at full PH, right? Explode is treated like a normal weapon unless the Kuang Shi ends behind the Alguacil or something.
BTW, if I dodge a chain at full PH and a mine at PH -3, if I roll PH -1 I dodge the chain but still suffer the mine blast, right?
Elijah Cooper
Question about a rule statement concerning CC.
If you attack in CC, you get +1B for every ally engaged with your target.
Those allies, however, mustn't be activated during this order or ARO. Now I get the ARO part, but when does the Order part come into play? Is this about Coordinated Orders? ´The spearhead does get +1B and even +1Dmg for every coord. order buddy, so I'm not sure if they had that in mind? I don't know, it confuses me slightly.
Blake Ramirez
Coordinated Orders, G: Synchronized or Link teams. Say, an Uberfallkommando decides to yiff up a Swiss Guard: Chimera only gets +1 burst for each of her Pupniks if they don't activate. Same if it was a Haramaki link instead.
Austin Rivera
Both short skills in an order are considered before any attack or ARO dice are rolled, so the KS does not know he's about the suffer a wound until after the option to move has passed.
On a tight map or if the KS got *really* close the Alguacil might not have the open path to dodge both templates, but in many cases one Dodge move will be able to get out of both.
The FAQ does not discus this particular scenario, but does have an example of a Dodge move triggering a Mine, and sstates that only one Dodge roll is made. It is considered FtF vs the Chain Rifle and Normal against the Mine (though possibly at a -3 PH based on other modifiers like Deployable).
Jason Howard
>if I roll PH -1 I dodge the chain but still suffer the mine blast, right? Correct.
William Ramirez
You don't have to actually move out of the template to dodge it, you can just stay put
Nicholas Gomez
Check the date of the ruling. This was changed with HSN3.
Coordinated orders specifically add the burst and damage, as do fireteams. Gsync does as well, but the Gsync models don't get to attack individually on the same target.
Elijah Kelly
The one sticky point is if the mine's area would only have been entered by the Dodge movement, as failing the Dodge roll, even against a second source, means that you didn't move after all. It is very situational, but that is what the game is about.
Austin James
You're an optimist. CA is probably going to have a special skill that's going to be a bar above everything Human Sphere has to offer.
Carson Cox
>new Engineer You mean Cordelia? She's probably going to be gone after season 8 and comes with a Scarface tax.
Jeremiah Butler
I think if you generate new ARO with dodge movement, you do not get a response.
Zachary Kelly
This is all reactive turn Dodge. The Active player doesn't get to ARO.
Carson Morgan
CA, Aleph, Tohaa, and maybe Nomads.
Brayden Martin
Ah ok, I do not know much about games, but if it looks right then kudos to the user.
My problem is that that they do not climbing+, so they get funneled in to the roads, which thenmeans they die as soon as they poke their heads out.
My opponents have some msv2 units. the warcore has a link of plasma armed dudes. And I think some of them have either MSV or ignore cover at least. My other nomad opponent has 2 intruders with sniper rifles. And my third most often played person has a whole unit of msv2 dzandzans and smoke of their own
Grayson Hughes
>My opponents have some msv2 units. the warcore has a link of plasma armed dudes. And I think some of them have either MSV or ignore cover at least. Jack Stewart
how could you deploy a dude on a lamp post? assuming someone would model one, no base would fit on to one.
Lucas Taylor
You underestimate the imaginations of cheaters and/or shitty metas.
Michael Campbell
Does anyone have a picture of the infamous "lamp post" sniper nest on the table? I recall the story and I think I recall a picture.
Austin Johnson
Those are used in my area, I think people order them from Poland.
Aaron Bailey
ZenTerrain sells something like this. I recently saw this in person and they can fit one (and only one) miniature. However Zen explicitly calls these "objective markers".
We probably just need someone from Białystok to share a photo.
Juan Brown
I don't get why that would be better than just deploying on a building.
David Young
As a warmachine player looking for something new, how do i get started with Adriana?
What are their staple minis, and what point total should i shoot for? I think the people around here that play it play 200~ points, but i'm not totally sure.
Jayden Baker
The point was that the lamp post was overlooking the entire table and there was no way to get the sniper off of it. And no space to put a Fiday (the complaining guy was playing Haqq).
200 for beginners or fast games, 300 for full ones. Unless it's Limited Insertion, prepare to be spammy.
Ayden Hughes
Modiphus has made some kind of e-zine about their stuff. It's available for free, so I don't think anyone should mind me sharing the Infinity stuff.
Alexander Reyes
Staple minis: Camo infiltrators: Chasseurs, Foxtrots (both with rifles) Werewolves (Cameronians, Dog-Warriors) Spetsnaz HMG Tankhunter autocannon or HMG Antipode pack line troops of some type to fill orders (remember the AVA), including 2 chain Volunteers 45 Highlanders "Galwegians" - chain rifle Irmandinhos some kind of AD troop (probably Paracommando or Airborne Ranger).
If you go sectorial, very much depends on what's available, some of the above have their counterparts in various sectorials.
Points, as said.
Ian Johnson
How long until our IRL Watson AI pulls the same stunt?
Kayden Jones
Just shoot the sniper.
Aaron Edwards
Is there any advantage or detriment to having both courage and religious troop? It seems as if the effects of Courage allowing you to auto-pass or fail would superscede any possible desire to attempt a WIP roll to "fail" the guts check if you were a religious troop.
Nolan King
eyo again Infini/tg/
Guy who posted last thread bout starting the game.
Today i bought myself the nomad starter set while one of my friends got the Aleph starter set.
I am of course going to be working on these (when im not glued to zelda BOTW) and was wondering what i needed next. I looked at the box and noticed i didn't have a 'hacker' and my friend did. Am i at a disadvantage?
Also for my next box i was thinking of either riot grrls or the tomcat box (kitty mech!) Are either of these good or should i go for another box?
Again thanks in advance for the help.
James Carter
Thanks for this info man. I'm reading up on the rules, as soon as i understand the rules a bit better i'll build an army and get painting.
Easton White
I mean, hacking tends to be called "advanced rules" not totally intended for the first couple of games you play, you generally want to ease into it like with fireteams, so you're not at an innate disadvantage yet, but you'll want to get into it sooner or later as Nomads play into the strength of hackers very well with easily accessible repeaters.
Riot grrrls and the Tomcat box are both good, having Riot Grrrls will kind of pegionhole you into a list for Bakunin as they're one of the generally best fireteams in the game, but having one or two out in basic games is still viable as well.
Tomcats on the other hand are pretty cool mid field specialists who can easily get to an objective or repair someone who's down, so it's a generally better suggested buy as its usually easier to fit into an army list a a supplement to a starter.
Evan Butler
Also, rifle Chasseurs are starter-only and can be hard to get so grab them if someone's selling. And ADHL Chasseurs are easy to convert to rifles if you have a spare one.
Sebastian Diaz
Also the Hunzakut makes a decent Chasseur proxy.
Ethan Lewis
>Also for my next box i was thinking of either riot grrls or the tomcat box (kitty mech!) Are either of these good or should i go for another box? Riot Grrls are not very good for generic Nomads, but Tomcats are. You may want some bodies on the table, like Jaguars, Morans or Zeros, and everyone always says to get either a Sniper or HMG Intruder. Check the tactica: 1d4chan.org/wiki/Infinity/N3_Tactics/Nomads The kitty mech (specifically the one on Carlota) got me into Nomads in the first place.
Andrew Collins
The fem-Hunzaqt? Holy shit, you're right. Swap the gun, convert the comlog, swap the repeater for a mine, and she'll be excellent. Thanks for the idea. Might check that with the other Hunzaqt for 4 unique rifle Chasseurs.
William Clark
>be me >spend last night poring over lists for weekend tourney >finally settle on two that satisfy every requirement, have good options for going first or going second, and perform Classifieds well, for the three missions >find you have almost all of the models you need in WYSIWYG >only one model in the lists with a CB sculpt that you don't own >could be proxied very easily with another loadout's model >decide today to pop down to the FLGS for paints, and maybe splurge on that model >find they've put a bunch of older Infinity stuff on clearance, including one of those models!
I'm 110% smug and comfy right now, that very basic human satisfaction at getting squared away better than you expected. Is there a superior sensation?
Zachary Robinson
>Is there a superior sensation? Yesterday I got a free Maghariba Guard because it was missing a few small parts and the dude decided to just give me the money back and not take the mini because he wouldn't play it anyway.
Luke Allen
Only in Retreat. Religious Troop gets to act normally, even staying Regular.
Nicholas Myers
Well fuck me, you were right.
Landon Robinson
>kitty mech Nah, more like kitty toy. THAT's how a kitty mech looks like
Samuel Diaz
>5 point specialist flash pulse ARO that also passively buffs other units >still complain
PanO whining has reached levels that N2 Yu Jing players could only dream of
Leo Hughes
I wouldn't be surprised if, true to his namesake, Watson is the only thing keeping everything from falling apart completely.
