How'd I do?

this game has really gone to shit

I understand the rules of the game, but have no idea what is happening when I look at a competitive YuGiOh tournament game. Can someone give me a run through of what playing a game of competitive YuGiOh is like?

I'm trying to make a zoodiacs deck, what would be a good direction to go with them? I have no previous experience with yugioh other then the mobile game.

Current deck has
>Trapcards
Rocket hand x2
Zoodiac Combo
>Spellcards
Zoodiac Signx2
Fire formation Tenki x3
Zoodiac Barrage x3
>Monsters
Zoodiac Ratper x3
Zoodiac Bunnyblast x3
Zoodiac Whiptail x3
Zoodiac Ramram x2
Zoodiac Boarbow x3

Magnus, Quantal King
Legendary Artifact Creature - XYZ

Flying

When Magnus dies, search your graveyard for up to three other XYZ cards and put them into your hand.

Discard two cards: At the beginning of your next upkeep, shuffle target card you own into your library.

Discard four cards: Magnus gains protection from all non-Quant cards.

Discard six cards: Until Magnus dies, your opponents can't draw cards.

I've never played Yugioh

First turn: set up for win on turn 3
Second turn: mill half your deck hoping opponent iis stupid enough to run maxC

Though really you can pretty much tell who's going to win based on archetypes being used... Go ahead and scoop your deck then spend the remaining 5min hoping Links fix everything.

Is there a tournament format /multiplayer game for yugioh that only uses the old sets (by old, I mean pre-2007)?

I dug up an old Gameboy game recently and I watched some people play Duel Links and honestly, old Yugioh seems kind of fun to play.

New Yugioh is just a clusterfuck and I don't have any idea what is happening.

Yugioh doesn't do multiple formats like magic does, that said get some friends together with the agreement that no cards after 07 are allowed and you could make it a fun party game.

Aren't there any GBA emulators that can accomplish multiplayer?

more like konami doent allow anyone for introducing a new format.

that said, i hear about GOAT format. its the april 2005 banlist and cards from that era.

im sure there is, maybe even some mobile ones too.

You can check out some Zoodiac decks on here.

Thanks

The problem is Protection is much worse than Unaffected.

If you're trying to emulate game mechanics perfectly, it'd be better for him to Imprint the monsters from grave and be able to un-Imprint them for the detach ability.

The way you summon Magnus is with the field spell, which can sac itself when you have all three pieces of him on field or in grave, and they all become materials. Good luck figuring that one out.

Made this ban List a while back and it work great. sorry in advance it was made in notepad and it'll have to be multiple posts

>Evigishkis on banlist

boooooooooooooooo

thats it the only deck that was hard to deal with was dragon rulers but the were far from unbeatable
list was made with link summons in mind but yeah they need to be moved to semi limited

What're some spicy decks I can bring into a casual meta?

I'm looking at Predaplants, but any sort of non-archetype, weird, stun, combos, or control is appreciated!

Big City

That IS spicy. Does the E-Hero OTK fit the deck well, or does that just crowd it?

Didn't know E heroes had an OTK, I just have fond memories of my Stratos
Not sure big city even works without it

page 10 save rave
>just in time

looks like you saved it for nothing

I'm considering touching up a stall-y deck I have; is effect damage common, now, or is it still as rare as it was years ago? ShouldI plan around it, or is just making sure my ass is covered from battle damage good enough, still?

Quick, post petdecks

I've been doing pretty well with this, though I only play against the (awful) AI.
