By pulling the plug

Can't you just unplug his life support chair that like, eats people?

Stop right there, Heretical scum.

Throw a culexus assassin at him.

kill yourself OP

With a sun

I'd perform a 13 step plan that would end with the Eye of Terror extending to Terra and pulling it into the warp.

Then it's just a matter of waiting for the endless wave of deamons to take him out.

You can't
His manifestation in the warp is stronger than all other gods combined.
If you destroy his body he will need a vessel to come to material realm.
His soul is indestructible.

Wouldn't. He keeps the emotion farm going.

Blockade Terra and starve him.

Turn his Imperium into a bloated and corrupt corpse of its former self, ruled by hate, fear, and ignorance, all the while going against every lesson he tried to teach, and worshipping him as a god to top it all off.

.....by the Emperor!

Exterminatus.

i still wonder how horus, a weaker version of the god emperor himself, could wound him mortally. he would have died if it wasnt for the throne.

bad writing

Horus had all 4 chaos God's backing him in the fight

Don't worry guys I got this.

That's Cypher's job.

Horus has the 4 chaos gods at his back and Emps was holding back until Ollanius.

Imagine all that grinding he did during the Great Crusade while Big E was away.

The Big E is distracted by ten thousand Slaaneshi ladyboy hookers in the Warp right now. He will die of Chaos AIDS then be reborn.

And when he/she is reborn, you better mind xir new pronouns and gender identity or you are a cis-shit transphobic h8er.

Good writing, and an enjoyable setting.

So basically it would kill the entirety of 40k

That's the point !

Zozzle

PULL THE PLUG!

Prevent the thousands of psykers that he get force fed from reaching him.

GEOM does not power the astromicon, the thousand psyke souls that are used to power the signal are what sustain him and power the chair.

Throw MrCulexus at him.

Send in the Frenrisian gods since they're stronger than chaos.

...

>Horus literally possessed by all four Chaos Gods who are channeling their full power into him
>Emperor heartbroken and still not fully accepting of his favored son's betrayal
>Horus chimps out on a holding back Emperor
>the second Emps decides to use his full power he one shots Horus so hard his soul explodes and all 4 gods scurry away into the warp because the feedback was gonna fuck them as well
>Emps did this while being almost dead
There.

Confirmed to be retconned. The Emperor did not hold back on Horus. He legitimately lost.

If only he could kill chaos at the start THEN get to xeno purging we'd have less bullshit.

You can't he is ALREADY DEAD!

With kindness, OP. With kindness....

>Black Library
>relevant
Top lel.

Well, yea.

No longer canon, I'm afraid. Emps straight up lost.

Which makes sense, there's no reason for him to be more powerful than all four Chaos Gods.

>lost
So what, Horus killed himself? Also, where was this retconned?

Drop him into a pocket dimension.

WW1 chlorine gas. Seeing as no one in this fucking universe uses their helmets.

>there's no reason for him to be more powerful than all four Chaos Gods
>gods are a bunch of parasites
>Emprah is a legit transcended being

Your opinion is not relevant

Neither is yours, and the pile of shit that is Black Library and ''creative'' retcons by extra cromosome ''writers'' are completely ignored by the majority of the fanbase.

Worship him so hard he ascend the mortal plane.

Bring back guilliman
>8th edition HeRe wE GoOoOOOoO

>So what, Horus killed himself?

All indication says that Olly is going stab him with Anathame.

>Also, where was this retconned?

Laurie Goulding and Alan Merret made it clear that they wanted to retcon King's version of the HH for a long while since it made no sense at all. LG already said that the HH series version is going be different because the Emperor doesn't really care about Horus.

Neither of the Emperor's origins really should imply a level of power that matches the combined psychic weight of a all the universe's hate/despair/excess/hope/etc.

In one origin, he's a couple of hundred powerful psykers fused together. In another, he's just a powerful psyker who made a very well-considered Faustian bargain with the Ruinous Powers.

>predicting what will happen in unreleased books
>"this is now canon!"

Yep but facts matter. You don't dictate what's canon or not or what's even liked or not. Getting tired of you throwing a tantrum every time cites fluff. Your version of the fluff is not relevant in this fluff discussion. The Emperor is not stronger than Horus or even a single Undivided Daemon.

>All indication says that Olly is going stab him with Anathame
This is so fucking retarded it hurts. Everything about this is so fucking retarded it hurts.

It's not predicting, Laurie says that the books are already written down. They are just waiting release.

>Getting tired of you throwing a tantrum every time cites fluff.
I'm sorry, have we met before?

and you've read them?

>people bitched for a long time that they want Olly back in the fluff
>They bring him back and might give him an active role in the final fight
>you still bitch

There is no satisfying people.

Just throw some phazon on him or something.

I don't know.

No, but he has read them as the chief editor of the HH.

>until Ollanius.
Didn't realize they named the Imperial Fist Terminator.

We liked his original role.
Not this shit.

and all he said is that they're retconning King's version, he never said how.

yet you're still claiming you know how the Horus vs Emps fight will go down, hence

>Imperial Fist Terminator
Don't you mean Imperial Psyker Titan?

Don't you mean squat?

Interesting.

While I don't like Olly being a 'Perpetual' (in fact, fuck the very concept of Perpetuals, it's dumb), I definitely DO like the idea of the Emperor being completely crushed by a freight train made from all his mistakes. Instead of an immortal transcendant superbeing masquerading as a human, it is a mere human being who saves mankind, confirming that humanity's destiny is best shaped by its own hands than by dark gods or manipulative super-entities.

Actually, he did. He said that it made no sense for the Emperor to hold back on Horus since as it was established by ADB's work he doesn't like him that much.

So we know that Emperor is going all out on Horus.

I like him as some ultra powerful human that can bitchslap gods.

Though his age says he's gone beyond humanity at this point.

The entire Horus Heresy series was a huge mistake and should be retconned out of existence. They let these fucking autists take theses mythical figures and events and turn them into a bunch of manchildren with daddy issues throwing a tantrum.
>confirming that humanity's destiny is best shaped by its own hands than by dark gods or manipulative super-entities
You mean like Big E let us and then the Men of Iron happened? Though considering how it's going they'll write him being responsible for that too.

Men of Iron were a mistake. These things happen.
Big E should have intervened at the start of this shit though.

We still had a chance to recover until Eldar fucked up.

Fucking space elves should apologize to all life in the universe for their fuck up instead of being mightier-than-thou dicks who will probably end up making another chaos god out of their sheer pride if not culled.

>They let these fucking autists take theses mythical figures and events and turn them into a bunch of manchildren with daddy issues throwing a tantrum.

They were always a bunch of manchildren with daddy issues.

>Men of Iron happened

Men of Iron were not as big a deal as everyone makes out. They didn't destroy mankind. The rebellion happened, but that's it.

Golden Age mankind was felled by the sudden, unpredictable emergence of uncontrolled psyker powers in the population. It was something nobody could have predicted or stopped, something nobody was equipped for, and something that was always going to tear apart humanity. There was literally nothing anyone could do about it, and it definitely wasn't mankind's fault.

Shoot down Black Ships. I'm not likely to succeed, but at least this is more survivable than a direct attack on Terra.

>people kill the Emperor's physical corpse
>joke's on the galaxy, there's now an all-powerful fifth Warp god of Order

Except the Fall saved humanity.

Slaanesh's birth blew away the Warp storms mankind's emerging psykers had created. If it weren't for the Fall of the Eldar, humanity would have died off in small, isolated communities torn apart by Warp storms.

Hahaha, what? The Fall was what created the warp storms and isolated the worlds, it's also what caused a fuckton of daemonic possessions to happen on those worlds.

Isn't that a good thing now that there's a 5th god to wreck their shit on their home turf without it being pointless?

You just summed up why i hate them with a passion.

Holy shit how do you people keep track of this setting? Everything's being retconned or changed on a monthly basis! Is there a single lore similarity between 1e and 7e?

Everyone just accepts what they like as cannon.

This is incorrect.

Mankind's psychic awakening is what covered the galaxy in Warp storms. The daemonic incursions were the result of humans all over the place exploding because they had no idea how to do safe sorcery.

The pregnancy of Slaanesh caused a cluster of Warp anomalies in the center of the Eldar Empire, where the Eye of Terror is now, and its birth scream rippled across the galaxy, blowing away all the Warp shit that human psykers had caused.

Somewhat related to the Iron Men how come the Emperor didn't save or kept hidden a complete STC encyclopedia? It could have made his plans easier.

At least the Harlequins aren't assholes.

Because either all of that shit had AI or bad writing.
And thus, i don't hate them.
Didn't humans start to document and research psykers, and everything was going swell until the Men of Iron/Fall double whammy?

He was probably enjoying being a hermit or playing video games in his basement until the Eldar's little fuck up resulted in his computer being fried.

Uhh....No. The birth of slanesh cause galacywide storms, with the center being the current eye of terror. With warp travel no longer safely possible and the warp in general a lot more dangerous than normal, the emerging human psykers got fucked. Not the other way around.

>unsheath drach'nyen
>teleports behind you
>heh...nothing personel....emperor

I've been meaning to ask, is the demon imprisoned in that sword Cain or something?

Every new edition the setting gets more and more shat on by retards that don't understand how writing works and just want to edge it up.

>emperor dies
>chaos celebrates
>emperor ascends to full fledged god of order
>goes full amun rah and fights the chaos gods every day in their own domain
>this causes the chaos rifts to close
>daemons are no longer being brought into our world on an endless tithe
>tfw killing the emperor is actually the key to beating chaos
>nids become the bbeg of 40k

>Didn't humans start to document and research psykers, and everything was going swell until the Men of Iron/Fall double whammy?

There's not a lot of fluff on how Golden Age humans dealt with psykers, other than that they were unprepared to do so. There are certainly SOME societies, like the Interex, that managed to contain and control them successfully, but they're a massive minority.

It seems pretty strongly implied that these early psykers had even less innate control than those alive now do, and most surviving communities were ones that killed them on sight.

The Men of Iron happened during this period but they're a consequence of the psyker problem, not a problem of their own making. Untrained, uncontrolled psykers meant easy ways in for daemons, and they corrupted the Iron Men. There's actually no reason not to have AI in 40K, it doesn't get possessed automatically - mankind only ran into this problem because it suddenly had a bunch of living, breathing Warp portals on its hands, and didn't know how to train/control them.

The Fall happened once the Age of Strife was in full swing, and served as the ending to it.

So the webway project was to find a place with a another copy of his video games and Eldar hookers. Probably Commorragh.

It's name is drach'nyen, that's all I know about it. I believe it's on par with belakor for strength

Nope. The fluff is very clear on the fact that mankind's first few generations of psykers were fucked by their own instability and the lack of any controlling institution. The Warp was already fucked by that point, it had been fucked since the War in Heaven. Humans were suddenly introduced to it and weren't ready at all.

Humanity's rebirth into a psychic race was always going to be a painful one.

Because plot device.

Or, alternatively, the Emperor may have disapproved of the tolerant, utopian human civilization of the Golden Age, and therefore assisted in its destruction so he could take the reigns.

>Fucking necrons should apologize to all life in the universe for their fuck up instead of being mightier-than-thou dicks

Fixed.

Seriously, Necrons are responsible for everything bad in the setting. They waged a war so awful it turned the peaceful Warp of the Old Ones' time into a nightmarish quadruple hell, and it hasn't recovered since. And they did it solely because, without an external enemy to fight, they were such shitters they would wipe themselves out.

Every single problem in the setting can be traced back to this single immense fuckup.

Here is a sum of what it is

>Drach'nyen aka the End of Empires aka Echo of the First Murder
>It's a daemon that was born when the first sentient human murdered his fellow man in cold blood
>This act, It's birth, is THE defining moment of mankind. It's when humanity's destiny was sealed
>As it was born, it reached out into the minds of all mankind. Every man, woman, and child that live, lived, and will live felt its touch as it tainted mankind across time and space
>Truly, a daemon of Chaos Undivided. It's kindred with all the daemons of Four and yet it stands apart. Wherever it goes, it will find a home each and everyone of the Four Powers
>It can sense anyone who shed blood no matter who or what it is. Machine or flesh. They are its prey. It hunts those who committed murder and feasts on their souls and flesh
>It can shapeshift into anything. From the tornado of claws and jaws to microscope bacteria
>It can mass possess machines and humans. However, it cannot possess the Custodes or the Sisters of Silences, these hated enemies it just slaughtered.
>It hunts the Emperor seeing his destruction and the fall of his empire as its singular purpose
>So strong its connection to mankind that Emperor was vulnerable to its lethal violence. Where it wounded him it sucked out his soul. Its destruction or banishment was something beyond the Emperor
>The Emperor fooled into imprisoning itself inside a Custodes who then fled as far as he can from the Emperor to protect he Emperor from the daemon meant to kill him

I'm not the guy you are posting with but this is what I fond of the wiki, I know that wiki's are not concrete but it's more reference than either of you two have posted.

>With the final abatement of the Warp Storms caused by the birth-pangs of the Chaos God Slaanesh and ended by the Fall of the Eldar, the Emperor finally began the Great Crusade at the end of the 30th Millennium.

take that for what you will, here is the page I got it from.

warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Emperor_of_Mankind

Rider kick

The entire crusade was to get his mind off losing all his things and fuck up the xenos while he was at it.

get him on a bride an use the ol' GodHammer.

Necrons weren't the ones who fucked up the warp directly to win a fucking war that could have been resolved before it began by giving the 'crons extended lifespans on a new planet.

That way he might start shitting and get off the throne at last.
