No. Ahriman blew Prospero up earlier. Magnus summons the planet of the sorcerers into the Materium, but he does this at the end of the story that was his real objective.

Logan doesn't beat Magnus, he removes a spell that stops him from being affected by the Grey Knight's sanctic powers. The Grey Knights then send him away.

Prospero isn't a thing anymore. They take their silver towers and go and use the power they siphoned to transport the planet of sorcerers into the Materium and cause Chaos invasions.

As an AoS player I have to agree with you but - it's all still fresh. CoS was really good and lore is slowly being build up with battletomes (which are decent) and new WH Quest. It needs time but IMO it's expanding in right direction
