We've had a few decent Rifts threads on here recently and a couple of shitty ones. Here's hoping that this one turns out to be the former instead of the latter.
Talk about Rifts, Classic or Savage flavor, or any other Palladium Games setting.
What's your favorite part of Rifts? Favorite race or class? What Classic Rifts thing do you hope sees a conversion for Savage Rifts--or what do you hope never sees the light of day? What's your favorite non-Rifts Palladium game?
My current game includes a Glitter Boy pilot who stole her suit from an ex-boyfriend, painted it hot pink, and regularly spends all her downtime getting drunk and hanging out in dog boy strip clubs. The party leader is a gambling addict ley line walker who keeps accidentally adding to his ever-growing harem because of his race's pheromone-based charisma. They're not in a relationship, but they have joint custody over their "adopted son," a dragon hatchling who has no concept of the value of money and thinks it's hilarious when he sets people on fire. The closest thing in the party to an actual hero is the burster, and only because he has a concept of "collateral damage" being bad. They're not the most moral group, but they're a hell of a lot of fun.

>What's your favorite part of Rifts? New West, Atlantis and Dinosaur Swamp.
>Favorite race or class? The Justice Ranger and the Grackletooth.
>What Classic Rifts thing do you hope sees a conversion for Savage Rifts Atlantean Bio-Wizardry and shit from Wormwood.
>or what do you hope never sees the light of day? All the stupid D-Bees of North America other than the aforementioned GTs. Rifts alien are kind of dumb in general.
>What's your favorite non-Rifts Palladium game? After the Bomb.
Charles Bennett
Nobody cares about this shitty fucking game. Let it die, OP. Let it die...
Joshua Kelly
>New West, Atlantis and Dinosaur Swamp. >Wormwood You have good taste, friend.
Dominic Martinez
Awwwww. You're responding to yourself to make it look like more people care about this shitty game but you. That's sad. Have a donut.
Jaxson Anderson
>What's your favorite part of Rifts? The original game setting: midwestern North America, Atlantis, and the Vampire Kingdoms.
>Favorite race or class? Race: Dog Boys Class: Glitter Boys or Crazies
>What Classic Rifts thing do you hope sees a conversion for Savage Rifts >Motherfucking Wormwood
>or what do you hope never sees the light of day? Phase World. Or at least that it would get a major revamp before going over to Savage Worlds.
>What's your favorite non-Rifts Palladium game? Nightspawn/Nightbane. It needs a revival!

Laser reflective armor no longer works.
Xavier Harris

Aiden Murphy
No it's environmentally sealed armor. The Coalition States in the Rifts setting use a skull motif.
Nathaniel Jenkins
The laser reflective armor still works when the first laser blast vaporizes the paint job. She's constantly complaining about how much pink spray paint she burns through.
Eli Lee
Notice the package on the one up front? Mmmm, just like Uncle Kev likes em.

Wouldn't the paint just boil off when struck?

Pretty shitty art overall. Still, I'll give props to KS for supporting child autism.

Does nobody have the Splicers pdf? It gets asked every single thread and never gets any replies. And before anyone says it, I have scoured Da Archive.
Favorite books? Gotta be england, only book that has actual dbee floral and fauna thats all just kill and eat you stuff. Really wish the herbal/druid plants and recipes would bevexpanded yo NA.
Favorite race and class Favorite class is a toss up between robo-slammer (headhunter variant), mystic knight (classic not white rose), and temporal wizzard. Shifters is in my top 10. Favorite races is devil men, star elves, and Temporal Raiders.
For conversion id like to see something other than terrible savage worlds, so the setting with a better system for conversion
After the bomb and palladium fantasy are neck and neck but probably play palladium fantasy more
Hudson Roberts
Here's a sendspace link for you, brother. /file/xob7qs
Dominic Allen
Remember, every time you pirate something, Uncle Kev beats a tranny hooker....
Austin Davis
I dunno, man. I would have liked the England book to focus a little more on faerie folk and traditional British lore instead of the tired old "King Arthur returns" bullshit.
Lincoln Bennett
Like every time i pirate in general or just palladium stuff?
Jack Perry
Sounds like a win-win for everyone.
Cooper Rogers
Just PB stuff, natch....
Kayden Thomas
Even if you cut those parts out the fact it had classes that were actual healers and wasnt awash in tech, plus temporal magic is just sweet..... the cute rock ball mdc pet thing...so cool.
Gavin Wilson
It's true. In a lot of ways, England feels like the last time Rifts really tried going for a somewhat more subdued version of the setting instead of "LASER DINOSAURS AND CYBER NINJAS TURN IT UP TO ELEVEN!!!!"
Adam Morgan
Just look at that cute little guy....
Nolan Bailey
Except King Arthur Returns IS the traditional British lore. That's the legend.
Yeah I liked the herbal lore more too, but I have no fucking idea what Chinese dragons were doing there.
Nicholas Davis
>Stone ball bug Yup, that's cute.
>Considered to be anarchist Whoa, there, little guy!
And here's another pet peeve of mine: instead of simple attribute stat blocks, the poor GM has to roll for every one and then consult charts to derive modifiers. So they basically have to roll a character instead of using the stats straight out of the book. Thanks, Kevin!
Thomas Ross
Good taste friend, I have played in 2 Rifts campaigns once as a Justice Ranger and the other as a Grackletooth.
Colton Robinson
Wait, wait, you telling me
You can actually
Play Rifts?
Jaxon Walker
Yes. And with Savage Rifts out, it's even easier than ever.
Jackson Long
That picture is fantastic.
Joshua Morales
Only if you go MAX autist
Jonathan Roberts
Grackle tooths are great.
Brandon Davis
I like Dinosaur Swamp too. It's got that post-apoc savage feel that early Rifts had before it got filled up with ultratech megacities, nation states and million-mecha armies.
>Rifts pro tip: divide all populations by 10; divide all military populations by 100.
Caleb Diaz
The military size with the cs for sure their standing army is the size of the worlds armies now basicly
Cameron Campbell
OP continues to respond to himself. So sad. Have a cookie, NMI. You'll feel better. I promise.
Benjamin Fisher
Even today's armies don't have millions of tanks and aircraft. CS is just plain ridonkulous.
Ryder Martin
>divide all populations by 10; divide all military populations by 100.
This is pretty much the rule I always go by. It makes for some interesting realizations for my players when they hear about a "major metropolis" and then get to see that it only has about 20,000 people living in it. I think the military division especially makes PCs more important in the grand scheme of things. Now, instead of a group of ultra-powerful super-soldiers and magical beings being so outnumbered that they barely matter in large-scale conflicts, a small and elite force of PCs can be a major game changer in just about any battle.
Dylan Diaz
Well, KS clearly doesn't know shit about actual military forces beyond what he's gleamed as an armchair general for miniatures wargaming.
Brody Murphy
So that's where the Robotech money went...
Christopher Hill
Out of curiosity, has anybody figured out how much mega damage Uncle Kev's cock does to NMIs ass on a weekly basis? You just KNOW that dirty ol bastard don't use no lube....
Gabriel Price
Oh yeah. His trip to Thailand is LEGENDARY on the trap boards.
Luis Kelly
Is this anything like the story that Monte Cook went to Japan to literally a post-op tranny's bar-b-qued cock?
Wow. So someone told Monte to eat cock and he took it literally. Crazy son of a bitch.

Thanks senpai, made it from the grackletooth in one of the books and some random SAMAS fanart.

I like the setting and I could overlook the mechanics being so shitty for combat and attributes if there were mechanics for the things I really want to do. A functional gear creation system and a functional research system for both technology and magic would make power creep a lot less of a problem. But the technowizard device creation system hardly even functions, and I'm talking about the one included in the Rifts Ultimate core book. They give a couple examples of the process used to invent items but the damage stats on the weapons are randomly adjusted from what they were in the spell and the bang you get for your buck varies massively and senselessly as a result. That one lightsaber used specifically to fight undead is a prime example, it hits for 1D4 X 10 or some bullshit but it's so cheap and usable by anyone! Meanwhile you can buy a shitty little ice pistol that does 2D4, recharges for an unreasonable amount of PPE, and costs four times as much as a regular pistol doing the same damage.
I JUST WANT TO CREATE MY OWN GEAR WITH IN-SYSTEM MECHANICS RRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Evan Hernandez
They already have one sorta lone star made the xitinic hunter which I remember right has some dna of them in them, they can breed in the wild but the ones the CS release have some wierd cyber gear
Colton Brooks
>I JUST WANT TO CREATE MY OWN GEAR WITH IN-SYSTEM MECHANICS RRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Get Savage Rifts, mate. The Sci-Fi Companion and the SR Player's Guide can let you build custom equipment, no sweat.
Blake Allen
I think that damage is only to Vampires...not just any undead. And vampires are retarded strong in palladium/rifts
Jeremiah Barnes
I think I saw a homebrew one on the Nexus Nine forums a long time ago. Might want to look there.
Owen Cruz
Speaking of Rifts, has anyone tried that Breachworld RPG by one of the Palladium freelancers (forget the name)?
It was like a retroclone of Rifts or something, had a kickstarter. I never heard whether it was good or shit.
Jaxon Turner
It's pretty decent.
Gabriel Bailey
Details? What does it do better than Rifts?
The beta artwork looked awful, did it get better?
Jaxson Evans
I haven't, I remember the kickstarter for it, but never really kept up. Probably hard to get a pdf of it too, but ill take one if someone has it.
Yeah that would be pretty cool. The RUE's techno wizard rules are Paizo tier disgusting.
Zachary Morales

Rifts has so many chaotic books and disorganzied info scattered across 65+ products that it sells the index as a separate book.
But secretly it's also a adventure compilation. Go figure.
Logan King
>Fun Fact: 3/4 of the pagecount in every Rifts book is taken up by classes, weapons, armor, mecha, monsters and more weapons. >The pagecount for the world setting info that the book is ostensibly about can take up anywhere from 1 to 12 pages, tops.
Thomas Taylor
They are conversions from palladium fantasy, heroes unlimited tmnt...ect.
