New player here.

How would one properly utilize the bard's countersong, distraction, and fascinate?

What if the "Trade Language" isn't even a spoken language at all, but rather the character is proficient at grunting, gesticulating and generally showing their interest in buying a good for so much cash.

That way a person *has* to learn the local language if they want to hold a conversation, but anyone who knows Trade can "function" in a foreign society.

Necromancers are great, they can talk to the dead to emulate divination, they can use negative energy and cold to both blast and battlefield control, and of course they can summon hordes of the damned to emulate a conjuration summoner.

They are jacks of all trades, one of the many reasons the dread Necro was so damn good.

A. Trade them out for an archetype.
B. Forget about them until the one encounter in the whole campaign they become relevant.

We could totally use a Dread Necro port to have the massive undead pet though. Closest is having LotN and the feat that turns the AC into an undead, but it's not the same thing by far.

Except that as written, you get +4 to all the social skills for being the grunting guy.

>massive undead pet
It didn't help this guy out much...

Well that just makes sense! A man who knows how to grunt real good and wave his arms around will tend to be a good merchant. Have you ever seen Snake Oil Salesmen? They're flailing all over the place!

Yeah but it's not '+4 to these checks when making business deals', it's +4 in general.

You'll be more likely to seduce the pants off the queen of the buffalo women than the guy who actually speaks her language, just by grunting and flailing around.

>You'll be more likely to seduce the pants off the queen of the buffalo women than the guy who actually speaks her language, just by grunting and flailing around.

And this isn't true in real life... How?

To be fair, that was an E6 necromancer while facing a doppleganger with at least 13 class levels in spellcasting.

Some people are just into that

>dat subuttle jab at DA CLUB culture

Ertw dread necromancer and warmage when?

What is the best sorcerer bloodline excluding arcane? Draconic is nice because it gives you Fly and mage armor but what other ones?

Honestly, just those two. There's very little mechanical benefit to the other bloodlines that's not outperformed by Draconic or Arcane. I mean, I guess if you're austic mouth breathing sperg you could pick one for RP purposes, but you don't want to be THAT guy, right?

Refreshing lfg

Did some more Spellburst Savant homebrew. Broom Jockey is a mobility/flight/speed based spellburst savant with a melee theme.

This is the alpha so feedback is highly appreciated. Among other things, I'm a little iffy if it's got enough melee boost to be functional in combat as most of it's stuff is about mobility and it lost some nova spell getting there. Still, Flyby Attack works nicely with Wave Motion Strike (As it allows a standard action, NOT just an attack)

Any one on from dragon game? How was it?

What kind of magic executions would be ideal to be reserved only to traitors and regicides?

>broom jockey

stop making things I want to play and will never get to, asshole

"The Mystic Pimp"

DG2 player who read the logs here. They had some fun. Snack cakes were eaten, assassinations were foiled, sofas were destroyed.

The ass was fat, butt not the ass your thinking of

I've met a good number of people here that don't push their fetishes on others like someone without self control. so I'm comfortable with my chances.

The Black Book.

The traitor's blood is used to write their vile deeds in a great tome of flayed skin that binds their soul to recant their treachery, torture and execution forever. The Grimoire is the only literature a traitor awaiting execution is allowed to read.

Is it useful to have a dog?

No. You can't stop me. No one can stop me!

Depends what you want to do. Arcane is the best bloodline because it's always good, the rest are all specializations.

Dogs are adorable and protective, their bones can be broken fairly quickly so make sure they aren't on the front lines when the tables has turnned.

>:O

There are a few one trick pony specialist bloodlines out there. Fey comes to mind for kitsune enchanters and A couple of bloodlines are ok for blasting thanks to the + damage.

I CAN STOP YOU

You will try.

Blaster sorcerer to be specific.

I might be doing an SoM playtest game once the full playtest comes out, interested?

Only 2hu deals in absolutes!

Draconic bloodline is nice because it adds +1 per damage die to the relevant energy type.
Elemental is okay since you can swap out the damage type to your elemental type to overcome elemental resistances.

Thoughts on the newest applicants for the ruse cruise

Link?

They really activate my almonds.

Is a joke game

Vintage meme!

So /pfg/, who's your favorite Ruse Cruiser? I'm personally partial to Amuzak, the Magus with two swords.

If you think about it, aren't they all joke games? Most people spend half their time memeing a meme in them anyway.

punchslut

I need advice on a character to make for this.

Should I go full ham, or try to play it straight? Should I make a character that is a satire of OC (Original Characters?)

Play it straight

>Meme machine SwimmingEagle
>stripper knight
>memedoge's brother
>gee Kirito, how come your mom gave you /two/ swords?
>literally Sanji
>/D/octor Feelgood
>pyromaniac
>stripper android
>put on a shirt
>Doctor Snekslut
>EhnJolly approves
>I'm not edgy, it's a condition

What I kinda wanna see is someone, like, make a parody of all those deviantart pictures where Sonic discovers Christianity or whatever.

An oc donutsteel that constantly takes breaks to remind everyone how awesome jesus is.

That second to last one is accurate.

That's exactly what I was going to make, user.

And he's absurdly muscular with huge prominent nipples and it's all uncomfortable.

Reach for the stars, user.

>Paper is listed with a break DC of 5
>A 10 strength character fails to rip a simple piece of paper in half 20% of the time.
what?

Give me character concept ideas that revolve around being a duo. Me and my girlfriend are starting a rise of the runelords campaign soon and I feel like we'd have fun being able to synergise with each other somehow.

The campaign will be pretty vanilla as far as I can tell and we're both semi-new to the rules.

Spellcaster/Ranged Person and a huge disruption based tank that keeps people away from their waifu.

Buffslut and Meatshield

Take 10 strength check.

Father/Daughter duo, or better yet she's a Paladin and you're her Cleric charge, or vice versa.

She plays a sorcerer with the enlarge person spell. You play a hulking barbarian with a high CON score. She buffs you at the start of every combat and you can joke about sexy times during down time with that spell.

So Momoko from Ghost Stories?

I need an outline I can bucket fill.

Here's what you do, you make it really awkward by playing her character's father. You can play an occultist, a researcher into old Thasillon, and she can play a haunted oracle uniquely attuned to ghosts of Thasillon

Like that except even more TOTALLY RADICOOL.

What if they're both into having her call him daddy, user?

It'll only get awkward for everybody else

Someone give me a smol succubus girl picture so I can apply to The Great Bamboozling

Whats funny is that the dude might NEED it because his normal package is too small for adequate stimulation.

Google Aht from Radiant Historia.

Dude's got a micro-dick?

or a 4-inch long one

Use this one.

>Sinspawn starts hitting it from behind
>She moans, "harder, daddy."

Aegis and a smaller Onslaught Kineticist turret.
The Aegis takes the Passenger upgrade and becomes the main source of mobility and defenses, though still quite capable of nasty hits if using the customzations and POW access right. Meanwhile the partner on the back can handle some area and utility effects (like Void's gravity line or anti-regen aura) so that both lay down horrific firepower from above in various deadly fashion.

Alternatively an Iron Titan can transform and take a 'mount' upgrade. You can be the reaver jetbike to her succubus pilot.

I'd prefer to keep the daddy stuff off the table. Good ideas in practise though

Was originally going me as a brawler and her as a witch for debuffs.

Good idea since we'll end up ERPing as these characters too.

Thanks anons, other ideas appreciated too.

Should this character have a totally warped outlook on sex and relationships? Madonna/Whore Complex cranked up to 11?

He will forever search for a boyfriend-free girl he can introduce to his Jesus juicer.

Why not just play as two best friends who happen to adventure together and kick butt?

same thing.

You're a valiant Paladin, she's a lewd witch trying to bring him to sin.

You're the meat, she's the buff, and now you can innuendo all day with her getting to be all confident and sexy, trying to turn you on and lead you off the path of righteousness.

Do +1d6 stance damage boosts only work for discipline weapons or does it grant bonus damage as long as it doesnt exclude your weapon group/type?

>Enlarge Person
>Bull's "Strength"
>Haste
ooh boy

Four inches is not micro, it's just disappointing.

The ideal length is 7 inches and girthy, anything more is for the minority of girls that yearn for men built like horses and with emissions like that of a donkey.

I think that might be casting the parody a bit wide (also I don't think chris-chan was one of the christfags but I could be mistaken).

Only works for discipline weapons, boyo.

That said, everyone uses Elemental Flux for spears or swordsmen when it's meant for monks, soooooo

Something, something, one grapples to pin and the other wails on the pinned opponent.

Something something, two rogues who set up flanking for each other. Take a dip in rogue or dip in other classes. One might be a bruiser while the other is more finesse.

You're right, it's been a while since I've checked out those OCs.

You know what? I'm going to devote the afternoon to researching these abominations, open my heart and mind to them and try to think like one.

Something something, teamwork feats.

Wizard and Cleric. Suddenly, every other member of the party is expendable and the two of you can complete the AP by yourselves if need be.

Something something, alchemist and bard. One plays the music and the other delivers the crescendos (bombs).

Lameeka's ass wasn't the ass in question? How is this possible! ?

Something something, skald and barbarian

Maybe savages from the same tribe who are out to save the tribe or something

Lameeka is a big fat poser, her ass is fake.

knowyourmeme.com/memes/christian-sonic-fanart

She could be a shield maiden/valkyrie

Other people are similarly developing powerful asses

>Rubato gets E Flux
>light blades and thrown weapons
>meant for monks
You're also wrong.

They all have specifics, iirc. Scarlet Einhander needs you to be one-handing, Reaching Blade is only melee, Pugilist is unarmed or discipline weapons. If you fill the specifics then whether or not it's a discipline weapon doesn't matter.

Skald and barbarian don't work because the skald's song doesn't let you use rage powers, and if you use your own rage the morale bonuses don't stack. Bard and barbarian would be better.

So primal fury's stance of aggression works on all weapons, even bows and crossbows?

Yes.

She's the drum.

He's the stick.
