Bright pink or purple, with black and gold trims.
I really like World Eaters
Post Heresy is da best
Something about silver just does it for me. It's both aesthetic and practical.
Its this one obviously.
...
Came in here on behalf of the Flesh Tearers, but admittedly I have to agree with you.
God black/gunmetal with yellow looks good.
Beakies also better
>mfw pic related could be a thing in fluff for them
>Ice Hive of Inuit
>Inuit
>Eskimo Olympic Ear pull
>yfw somebody tried to pull Rogal Dorn's ears.
Dark Grey with Black tiger stripes and white highlights.
Not a canon color scheme, but one I would have my marines have if I could paint well enough.
This would look great for scouts.
>Rogal's face during every ear pull match
He probably got a stiffy in every match.
That begins the next phase of the Imperial Fist Olympics.
works with matte grey too
I do like that dusty color.
Nice work James-kun
Orange with black and gold
Black and red
You both have the legion right, but the scheme wrong. Best colors are mid heresy red and white.
If you don't think Alpha Legion's iridescent blue/green and the Word Bearer maroon with white script is the tightest thing ever then get the fuck out of my face.
Will you gundams stop fighting already?
Not marines, but I adore FW's Peltast color scheme.
I do like the extra work the Night Lords put into their work.
Also the lightning imagery over the armor is my jam.
Did someone say most aesthetically pleasing legion?
Why did you post two of the same guy in the pic?
...
Dude, he was just showing off how the marines progressed from Mark 3 Iron armor to Mark 4 Maximus.
The fact that it's the same marine doesn't matter.
>most aesthetically pleasing legion?
If Iron Warriors are your A E S T H E T I C, then I'm sure you must fucking piss yourself with joy when you go to Home Depot.
>spikes
>skullface
>bone and teeth trophies
>lightning
>slitted demon eyes
>blood splatters
Is it even possible to go edgier?
Yes, Daemonculaba. That is the maximum amount of edge there can possibly be before it just goes completely over-the-top even for 40K.
...
Literally Axlotl tanks with different background music.
Ah yes "Red and black with some sort of trim", the archetypical "I'm a basic bitch" of 40k.
Well done, lad. Well done.
I like the white and blue WE but this guy is right
White red mid-heresy WE are criminally underdone, even if they are quite new.
How can other chapters even compete?
Darker/cobalt blue ultramarines look sexy as fuck
The bright/powder blue schemes look shite though
Iron hands
I honestly love the Alpha Legion's blue-green color.
Step aside fags, bleached bone coming through.
...
The only DA outside of Azrael with a sense of humour. I dig it.
Seafoam green like colors are my favorites.
Word Bearers heresy scheme, but a bit brighter than usual. Or this
niggers
/thread
so good it was my donutsteel color scheme until I discovered them years later
Shiny and black
There is only one acceptable way to paint up your space marines. Pic related.
Artist?
That's a really good looking figure. Where can I find one for myself?
That's Mk II.
Speaking of which, is it likely that GW will ever do plastic Mk II? I'm not sure if the ringed plates will work in plastic if they go all around the leg, not just the back like on Mk III.
SoH vary from awesome to shit, depending on exactly what green you use. I'm not too big on the teal that FW uses to paint theirs, for example. I much prefer a greyer green, almost like Wehrmact-era feldgrau.
I actually find the red on white boring. The blue is a lot more interesting to look at.
Will probably keep it FW only. Mk IV and III are probably still seen enough by 40k, but Mk II would be very rare.
Even by the Heresy it was being phased out for a lot of Legions.
Knowing GW's recent treatment of Heresy-era stuff, that probably doesn't mean much. FW used to give the same reasons for why Cataphractii didn't have 40K rules, and then they got them when GW realised people would buy plastic ones for their 40K-era armies. Sisters of Silence too.
The model he posted would've looked boring in blue too.
I still think the blue contrasts better with the blood splatters iiabehwyf (if I am being entirely honest with you, familia)
I really like the Look of the Ultra-Smurfs with that blue and iconography, very Roman.
That is nice.
I like their OG grey, personally. Abandoning the face stripe was a mistake.
Go back to sleep Fulgrim
>chapter full of striped helms
>you can't identify the sergeant because everyone has a stripe
Do it.
How would you rate my chapter's colors?
Imperial Fists successors?
Dark Angels actually. I made the scheme after some heraldry I looked up, and then found out the Fists had the exact same color scheme in the HH.
Fuck my luck.
Original 1000 Sons.
>fleur de lis
don't do that to yourself, you're not prepared for the curse of the flower
Well maybe you could fluff them as having a blood debt to the Fists for saving their ass one time. Not unbelievable.
I actually think the Red Corsair color scheme kind of works despite being so basic, maybe it's all in how you apply it.
2e Ultramarines Blue.
yes that's from 3e but it's a 2e force
am i the only one who hates most heresy schemes? so many are xcolour with neutral trim or black with trim. I need contrast on my marines. Only ones i like are emperor's sons and thousand sons with some blue added around, like this
Did you use ant pigments?
I love the Salamanders color scheme. Green is my jam.
hmm, red armor with gold trim, greater than average psycher amount...
shame they wernt loyalist.
This scheme is fucking fantastic.
>MK V
>Pre-Heresy
fukken wut
Not gonna lie, there are very few schemes I don't like with SM.
But as of now, Charcharodons, IW and BT have my heart since I play them.
>camouflage version
>bright yellow for base colour
What did they mean by this?
Mah niggas
Other acceptable schemes:
>Word Bearers (pre-heresy scheme)
>Emperor's Children (pre-heresy scheme)
>Astral Claws
>Minotaurs
>no ones posted scythes yet
you are all subjectively wrong
It's camouflage for Grenouille XIV, Planet of the Poison Dart Frogs
...
...
Here buddy. Have fun.
This. Dark grey/black and yellow are amazing.
I really like light grey and sparingly used bright orange as well
Hold the fuck up son.
Where are my Bluhd Rehvehns?!
SexualYeti
Well, half of HH is black marine armor
That's a nice color scheme. Which book is it from?
Found that guy.
