New thread when

I've always wanted to build Sharuum, but I never enjoyed playing with her.

Also Post decks!

I want to make a beater deck. No nonsense. Just straight to the face. Help me out, /edhg/. Can I go toe to toe with people playing their CUHRAAAAZY decks in this format?

This guy gets it.

W: Swords
U: Brainstorm
B: Dark Ritual
G: Birds of Paradise
C: Sensei's Divining Top
Best one drops for each color and also colorless.

Bant or Abzantress
There's no good general for either of them, but I'll get one one day.

List for Rashmi?

tappedout.net/mtg-decks/04-01-17-rashmi-control/
This is it. There's been slight changes, but it should mostly be the same.

>U
>Not the best 1 drop

Also a candidate. It's really personal preference to split hairs.

Misstep, recall, tutor, remora, and high tide are all incredibly good.

>What's that one deck you've always wanted to build but could never get around to it?
Knight Tribal called 99 Knights. Not sure where I want to go with it however. Knight creatures are scattered across all 5 colors and Legendary Knights are few and far between. Maybe Hakkon as a stealth Commander.

Oop. was gonna POST EM

>What's that one deck you've always wanted to build but could never get around to it?
I've got a lot of em. Wanted to build something with 2 colors for a while. Just a few I've thought might be neat include:

>Kambal
>Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind
>Jori En
>Karametra

Also thought of building Queen Marchesa and Kazuul.

Got a list for Nicky B?

>Not using the best one drop in the format as your OP image

tappedout.net/mtg-decks/nicol-bolas-age-of-dragons/

Here you go, I've updated the list just for you.

I'm looking forward to Amhonket.

I tried Knight tribal with Rafiq, but people always assumed I was running Rafiq.dec and would always attack me first.

If by that you mean
Swords
Ponder
Demonic Consultation
Lightning Bolt
Quirion Ranger
Time Vault (honorary mention Skullclamp but there can be only one)
then sure.

What set is that brolas from? Got any other foil dragons?

>one drop edition
>not sol ring
>yet still a sol ring

Have you ever considered Sydri? She's a stealth combo machine if you fancy or you can play mana rock aggro if that's more your speed. She's not quite as powerful as Sharuum but only due to less 2 card combos. A plethora of fun and easy 3 card combos with her though, look up Karn, Silver Golem combos to get something of an idea.

I built her as an eggs list but it needs work. Just got a masterpiece Ancient Tomb for her though. She's also fun to build as a complex grinding deck of value that eventually hopes to get a critical mass of artifacts and combo off. Kinda like Slobad but with counterspells and tutors.

I love one-drops!

Ruric-Thar/Xenagos, God of Revels are good starting points.

...

White has some really nice one drops, it's great.

Where's your Sunlance plebeian?

Yeah, I've been tempted to make some sort of Bant list, but I didn't want to get gunned down for picking Rafiq or Derememe.

There's much better white removal. That said, I do love Sunlance.

Sounds fun, do you have a list of what you're working on? She always felt a bit janky when I tried her.

Also Ancient Tomb masterpiece art is amazing.

Mystic Remora is not something you want to play turn 1 despite the casting cost.

Question: is there a website / app like tapped out which functions as a deck builder but also lists all the sets a card was printed in under/near each card? Looking through folders at the FLGS takes long enough without looking up which set every single card was printed in

...

That's the From the Vault art work.

Also yes, I've foiled out my deck completely. (Also have loads of foil dragons laying around from when the deck was more janky than it is now. )

...

None of those can even compare to the glorious unending horde of demon-worshiping 1/1's.

And I'm done. Probably some great cards I overlooked. Oh well.

tappedout.net/mtg-decks/sydri-of-the-confusing-convoluted-combo-deck/

It's a little outdated. Maybe I'll update it before too long.

Time vault costs 2 mana, friend.

Why not? I say that you're wrong. Unless you're in dumb ramp meta where no one does anything but play lands for first two turns, then sure. In better metas everything important happens in turns 1 through 3, so it would be dumb not to play it on 1st turn.

>Grafdigger's Cage
>mfw I've been playing zombie tribal lately
Fucking hell, this technology must never see the light of day in my playgroup.

>Why not?
Because you will have only one mana avaiable every turn you want to keep it around.

Have you considered Saheeli's Artistry?

Also Eggs sounds like an interesting take.

You don't say...
I've found you out, fucker.

>3 mana Sol Ring that is affected by summoning sickness

I play OG Sigarda and feel the same way about Glaring Spotlight.

Yep that's the one, I've changed it up a bit since then because on of the comments was basically: get your shit together, run more ramp/draw.

And the more I thought about it the more I realized he was right. So I added the Signets, Fellwar Stone and a heap of draw spells to make it more efficient.

I got it from an average cmc of 4.7 to 3.9 whilst trying my best to keep to my theme.

>two redshitters
>two
Holy fucking shit leave leave now leave fucking leave go away leave.

It's a pretty fun card. Probably worth playing just for laffs. I'm going to add Helm of Awakening and Paradoxical outcome so I can draw heaps of cards and play lots of free artifacts. I've also got a Mishra's Bauble and a few new spicy eggs to throw in.

post Mayael pls? I'm having a lot of trouble with mine.

how come there's no porn of this babe. I'm actually sorta surprised.

You undervalue card advantage. You play it in 1st turn and stop paying when it becomes too expensive, which is usually 3 mana. It's most useful early game, but still useful somewhat late game.
The giggling ramp retard (not the one playing gruul because that faggot never pays and goes ballistic when blue player draws from his triggers) will have enough to pay for his Primal Surge and the Remora trigger.

You alright user?

>accusing someone else of browsing reddit

/EDHg/ was a mistake

You were a mistake

Veeky Forums I need your help here, my playgroup consists of 4 people, two of them have degenerate combos that can kill out of nowhere in one turn, the other one is a land destruction deck with reaper king and I play control.

Now, I can make a person not win with removal and exiling stuff, but I can't control two people at the same time, I just run out of fuel, I don't even remember the last time I won a game. So what should I do, suggest them to do 1 vs 1 matches a lot more often? I can perform really good in those.

Is Veeky Forums's autism overflowing lately or are kiddies migrating here from /co/ and /v/?

The same 4 turboautists have shat up the last 3 threads.

>best 1 drops

there thats off the top of my head, im out.

>2016+1
>Still not knowing that Veeky Forums and Reddit communities are overlapping

How big do you think Mayael prefers them? We all know she's a size queen, but do you think she's hoofdaddy sized?

EDH is such a broken format lol

Stax is control for the group. Join the dark side.

It's a cycle user:
>some trendy crossboard posting faggot comes here thinking they're hot shit
>tries extremely rudimentary attempts at trolling
>one of our regulars calls them out on it, completely ignores them
>eventually they enlist another cross board poster to help them shit the place up
>after a month or so, they fuck off, regulars come back and the cycle begins anew
I just wish people would let us have nice things, just once.

I can confirm it's crossboard presence

What do you do with a person who scoops in a multiplayer game in response to you dealing damage so that some triggers or something don't happen and you don't get your trigger activations that could potentially help you?

Is this seen as a bad thing to do? One of the players in my playgroup doesn't like to die with honor, but my deck relies a lot on dealing damage for things to happen.

No i know that and you should return to your cancerous site

And if you insist on bitching, perhaps you should go to one of our containment boards. I bet /pol/, /b/ or /r9k/ would be happy to have you.

What if one player is the monarch and he concedes when he's about to receive damage and lose it?

>tfw Fumiko on turn 2 makes all three opponents concede

:^) christ aggro decks make people so fucking salty online

The active player becomes the monarch.

as a guy who plays with 3 black heavy decks on the table he either needs to suck it up or change his deck

>friend brings out his new Azami, warns me that it's basically a "counterspell combo deck" and that his previous opponent hated playing against it because of all the counterspells
>I bring out Anafenza since she's good in 1v1
>he races to Azami, casts her
>counter with pic related
Needless to say he was on tilt. Then I switched to Aurelia and Pyroblasted her.

That said, Azami is a pretty sweet deck, especially now with the printing of Paradox Engine. You just have to know when to concede against her.

>Return to your cancerous site
I'm already on the most cancerous one and I don't use Reddit, I hate the interface

plebit pls go and stay go

WRONG
If the monarch leaves the game for a reason other than than being dealt lethal combat damage the player whose turn it currently is becomes the monarch, if it is the current monarch's turn the next player in the turn order becomes the monarch.

Fellow user made a piece with her, I think it was buttfish

>redshitter
>hates /pol/
Confirmed for libtard redshit pleb. Trump is your president, friendo.

tappedout.net/mtg-decks/mayaels-massive-monsters-1/
I think I need more ramp.
Haven't bothered updating it in a while either, there's quite a few great fatties that have come out recently.

However big it is, its too small for her.

yeah i saw that one. I guess at least it exists I can put away my crayons.

thank you user. smart use with the fox.

Is your mother and sister the same person or are you just pretending? I recommend you look up what "active player" means and read the question before embarrassing yourself again.

there's basically no real way to consistently beat 2 combo decks with spot removally control. there's 3 ways for you to deal with them though

1.
>play a better faster combo deck than them and win before they do

2.
>play hard stax like other user suggested

but those 2 are just fighting cancer with more cancer, and will most likely start an arms race that will send your group in a downward spiral and eventually no one involved will be having fun

in a perfect world the answer would be:

3.
>convince them that they're misunderstanding the point of the format by playing solitaire combo decks and that your group should be playing 75% EDH that relies on board state rather than combo to win, like god intended

true EDH only reveals itself to the worthy, those who would blind themselves with their desires to win will only find pain

Brent?

darryl?

Stop making edh suck again.

Rocky?

You have to be more specific.
What deck are you currently playing
What combos are being used
I imagine they aren't break neck speed because of mld reaper King's inclusion.
Also
Stax will help you.

serves me right for trusting the Wizard's website instead of referencing the comp rules

Reddit
Have you ever been to the edh sub? It's fucking cancer, worse cancer then teegee.

>online
You care talking about a community who's content creators will bitch about counter spells and concede to a t4 Mana leak
I'm talking about you, gare_bear you fucking fat autist.

Thanks for the suggestions, I guess the only correct answer is to make them build new decks or play 1 vs 1 more often

I run Wrexial and Obzedat, and they run Breya with a shitton of combos involving clan ironworks and the other decks is prossh with food chain and purphoros and things that kill very fast

Dampening matrix reprint incoming
Get you one!

Commend sudoku. Like now.

Playing colorless voltron, I've got to repeat what said. It's already bad enough we've got a Karn player and a Sydri player who animate my equips to rip 'em off until EOT.

In my playgroup, you are only allowed to concede during your main phases when the stack is empty.

Of course, this usually doesn't need to apply (and when one guy is obviously going to win, people can pack up their cards), but if said winning player requires the other players to stay in order to win, then they are still in the game.

So no conceding in response to Feast and Famine triggers, or conceding in response to getting attacked with a Rith with a purphoros in play etc.

It's a legitimate strategy, don't be a little bitch. Account for everything. The extra layer of strategy it adds can be very fun.

conceding at sorcery speed is best, otherwise you get little bitches like who like to play kingmaker by either conceding or not conceding

>>convince them that they're misunderstanding the point of the format by playing solitaire combo decks and that your group should be playing 75% EDH that relies on board state rather than combo to win, like god intended

Little timmy cry whe he cannot turn his creatures sideways? sing me in

>What's that one deck you've always wanted to build but could never get around to it?

I would wanna build a mono blue stax deck. But I don't wanna spend too much money on another deck.

How can Timmy destroy your shit?

Is that pic your deck? I have an annoying Prossh player in my group, what are the cards or strategies that hurt you THE MOST?

is this any good against you?

This is a combo deck aiming for a turn 4-5 win on average. I am sure you are all aware of how Food Chain Prossh works.
