I doubt GW will ever actively shun the older armies, but I don't see most of them ever getting any real updates, and will instead just be phased out over time in favor of newer armies.

These steam punk dwarves are too over the top for me, I personally don't like having high tech stuff in my fantasy settings, I was ok with the way warpstone worked in the past and the winds of magic. But these dwarves brass balls just don't cut it aesthetically for me.
