GeeDubs will formally bring squats back as soon as they go through all this primarch and super marine and custodes hype
Mark my words. They'll do anything to create hype now. The old stubbornly reactionary GW that refused to change anything died with Kirby
Also first
Jaxon Bennett
Meh
Tyler Hall
First for Orks!
Connor Martinez
The Primarch releases are going to carry them through the next 3-4 years, with other stuff for non-Marine factions inbetween, I don't think squats is gonna happen.
Jason Wilson
When are they going to change the shit tier rules and utter lack of balance or the obvious don't-give-a-fuck-about-the-faction writers? It's fucking retarded to claim that they're just waiting for 8E to make good rules, especially when AoS was such a poorly managed shitshow.
Josiah Campbell
GW doesnt care about rules or balance still, but they found a new weapon with "huge event look who came back/what got destroyed" hype
Jaxon James
Roit, time fer a proppa WAAAGH!!
Seriously though, can we all just agree the Ork diplomat Bezhrak walking into the Senatorum on Terra and smacking the High Lords with his proverbial dick during the Beast Arises is one of the greatest achievements in the 40k universe?
Easton Bell
I made this list, how is it? Only problem is needing to order Land Speeder MMs since the LSS sprue doesn't have them. I think the Red Hunters chapter tactics might work better since they can get skyfire, so Missile Launchers could try and take out flyers, but unfortunately they don't have a Scout HQ and the Scout formation doesn't grant ObSec.
Orkz will be shit until they retcon their tard babble away. They sound like a bunch of braind-damaged soccer hooligans trying to read Trump tweets with a mouthful of broken glass.
Brayden Morgan
Why did Big E call the reconquest of the galaxy "Great Crusade" if he hated religion and a Crusade is, by definition, a war made upon religious beliefs?
Hunter Martin
Thoughts? Too many points into melee? Bad idea altogether?
Can infiltrate the entire murdergroup due to Warlord
As well as every other unit for that matter
Cooper Nelson
Does anyone have Gathering Storm companion book?
Nicholas Lee
I mean, technically it was a war on religious beliefs.
Mason Jenkins
S4 base and fnp for all. Also, gib fearless on mobs of 10+
Ryder Allen
you have to go ultramarines since sergeant telion is ultra
Evan Roberts
Yeah well now that you say it, technically is true.
Hunter Bailey
Yeah, that's why I said unfortunately the Red Hunters don't have a Scout HQ.
Jordan Powell
Because the Emperor is retarded. The HH series has made it clear that the absolute worst fate that could befall the Imperium would be the return of the Emperor. Motherfucker consistently fucks things up, usually in ways that anyone not a drooling retard could see coming.
Joseph Gray
> I think the Red Hunters chapter tactics might work > Ultramarines 10th Company CAD 1,000 points. Choose one
Screw Telion and go Raven Guard / Raptors?
Parker Lewis
Or use the 10th Company formation which is 3-5 Scouts or Scout Bikes. No HQ required.
Liam Morales
How do I get Forgeworld in with my Chaos Legions stuff? Do I have to take an additional CAD with just standard stuff in order to get any Forgeworld?
Alexander Ward
You's tinks you's a cleva git eh? I'z gonna see how cleva you iz wit me choppa in ya skull.
Leo Robinson
>gib fearless on mobs of 10+ Fucks over aspekt boyz and other elite units, not to mention that Fearless proliferation is bad.
Just make it so that Mob rule grants leadership/stat bonuses based on unit size AND/OR the number of nearby units. That way a 30 man unit of boyz gains benefits, and a small squad of tank bustas hiding in the middle of scores of other orks also gains benefits.
It's the kind of silly shit that should have been left behind long ago.
Adrian Hill
Well the Emperor is a turk after all.
Dominic Bennett
Nah, what I personally want is to go IF or RH. Red Hunters because they can get a nice slew of rules, most notably Skyfure, which means AA Missiles and Multi-Meltas for free, and IF because I like IF.
Also >might work better, but unfortunately they don't have a scout HQ Pls lrn 2 read.
True, but ObSec means that you'd have to shoot the Scouts and/or their Land Speeders to get them off the objectives.
I'll admit it's also because Telion's a pretty nice character who also has a really good model.
Elijah Campbell
Ld=7/ Number of orks within 12"
Xavier Hall
The Orks have plenty of really grim moments man, there's a whole part of one of the books in the Beast series about how they farmed humans on a planetary scale.
Charles Thomas
Fair enough. End of the day its Obj Ultramarines or Formation other chapters.
There is also another formation with Scouts and LSS where the Scouts get Obj Secured (but not the LSS). Think the other bonus is Scouts can disembark after the transports move 12"
Zachary Bell
I agree with taking a CAD because otherwise you're going to find it hard to score points with an army of scouts.
You could always ask your opponent to let you use RH rules. I don't think people are likely to be too worried about it with against an army of scouts.
Jack Thomas
>farmed humans
Farmed them for what?
Noah Turner
>Ork diplomat Bezhrak walking into the Senatorum on Terra and smacking the High Lords with his proverbial dick
You mean this? >‘Useless,’ Bezhrak said. ‘Worse than snotlings.’ >He looked at his fellows. ‘No reasoning with humans. Break ’em, kill ’em, eat ’em. That’s good. Don’t try to make ’em think. Can’t be done.’ >He shrugged. He turned back to the High Lords. >‘Want to die, then? Last chance.’
To hear that sort of thing coming from an Ork of all xenos is just rubbing salt in the wound.
Aaron Young
I'm not saying Orks should have been left behind, I'm saying Orks having the linguistic capabilities of a parrot should have been left behind.
Orks can do grim and scary, but the effect is ruined when they open their mouths.

>It's the year 007.M42 >Abaddon has been slain by the combined efforts of Roboute Guiliman, the Ynnari and the Tau >but there is one who won't just retreat back into the Eye of Terror >Perturabo stands fast, ready to take over the forces of the Black Legion and combining them with his Iron Warriors >ever the avid wargamer, he challenges Guiliman to a game >after all, he had 10,000 years of time to consider strategies and build an army the likes has never been seen before >He remembers the power of his armies back then, in the glorious times of the year 003,5M31 >40,000 points of footslogging Iron Warriors, allied Lords of Skulls, Heldrakes and a massive amount of artillery >Guiliman remains his natural calm, and slowly unpacks his Ultramarines >"You fool! You think your Marines can beat me? They will be stro...wait. What is that? Are those..." >"Yup. Grav-Centurions, Grav-Bikes and Skyhammers." >"You are worse than father, when he fielded his Forgeworld Custodes! I will not play against some kind of WAAC bullshit!" >"So you give up and never come back? That is fine with me." >His most trusted Warsmiths and the leaders of the Black Legion whisper behind Perturabos back, surely making plans to overthrow the Primarch >Perturabo knows he cannot give up, or all this might would melt like snow on a hot summers day >"Fine then, I'll play you. My list is superior to yours anyways." >A faint smirk graces Guilimans face, for he knows Perturabo cannot get out of this anymore >He slowly unpacks a grey mass of models. Something robotic, from the appearence >"Wait, what are those things brother? I don't remember the Imperium producing anything like that!" >"Oh, those are my allies. Tau Riptides." >"B-but how? This is not possible! You can't just ally something in!" >"Watch me do it. Haven't you read the rules?" >"I have them right here, I remember all of them!"

>Farmed them for what? Skin for clothing, client races to serve as cannon fodder that's a little more effective than throwing Grots at the problem. Y'know, that sort of thing.
Mind you, this was done by 32k-era Blood-Axes, and they're a bunch of untrustworthy gits anyway.
Eli Perez
That scene was retarded and the idea that you're the kind of subhuman scum that I share this hobby with is sickening.
Grayson Morgan
Seems inefficient. Hell they make Squigs that are probably more effective than humans.
Guess its for the whole Grim/Dark rating.
Justin Hughes
The formation requires normal land speeders, so does the speartip strike.
Henry Hughes
Yeah, Stormbringer Squadron (Angels of Death pg. 60)
1-3 Land Raider Speeders 1-3 Scout Squads Scouts have to use Land Speeder Storms at dedTrans
Scouts get ObjSec and can disembark after 12" of movement. Storms also get +1 bonus to Jink
So just go like Ultrasmurf CAD and RH Stormbringer Squadrons?
Julian Nguyen
scientists, cannon fodder that's stronger than grots, food, clothing

I don't mind humor, but most people stop finding silly voices hilarious by the time they reach puberty.
Or lets not be fucking retarded and just make their Nobs LD8 and Warbosses 10.
Matthew Nguyen
That makes more sense than just Food.

>mixing Chapter Tactics Hello cancer, my old friend!

orks stop being orks if they lose the silly voices. It doesn't ruin anything about them. also, >waaah stop liking things I don't like
Colton Robinson
Have we ever gotten a canon look into human life inside Necron controlled space?
Lucas Smith
That's hilarious.
Hmmm... I dunno, I think I'll just keep with the UM CAD until the day comes where there's a generic Scout HQ.
Ayden Thomas
Imperium also has connotations of divinity. It's possible that GW just chose the term imperium because it's Latin, but I'm sure they were aware of the connotations.
Eli King
>Fabtady grognards are still butthurt over AoS existing
Holy fuck, that's pathetic
Connor Gomez
aren't orks literally modeled off soccer hooligans
Gavin Phillips
Football you cunt.
Elijah Wright
Really? The tardspeech is the only distinguishing feature of orks? No wonder GW doesn't lavish support on such a boring army.
Yes, people have opinions. Good job, gold star. Any more statements of the obvious to regale us with?
Asher Stewart
Do we have Rise of Primarch pdf?
Xavier Kelly
Soccer, short for association football.
Created to distinguish it from Rugby Football, the vastly superior sport.

>Perturabo pulls out an ancient tome, the sites brittle and worn from the many times he doublechecked on some of the rules >"Oh please brother, get with the times. The rules have been updated quite some time ago. Here, have a read." >Furiously Perturabo reads through the rulebook Guiliman handed him >"Allies? Imperial Knights? And since when do some of my brothers legions count as something different than your regulkar Space Marines? This makes no sense at all!" >"So will you play me or not?" >"I...I have to, I guess." >"Fine then." >Guiliman slowly reaches down at his side and pulls out another army bag >He props up his Warlord Titan, an exclusive work of art made for him by the forges of Mars >He opens the next bag, and out come reddish Eldar, dozens of Wraithknights, hundreds of Scatterbikes and Warpspiders >"Wait no, this goes too far! You can't just add even more allies!" >"Of course I can, read the book" >"But Eldar are overpowered! This is not fair at all!" >"You agreed to play me. By the way, have another read. Those aren't just some Eldar, those are Ynnari." >"..." >After about two days later, the first gameturn has ended >"Well Pert, I don't think you can do much anymore. What do you want to do?" >Perturabo packs his miniatures back into his bag, tears slowly welling up in his eyes >"W-we'll meet again b-brother! I-i am not done yet! T-the next update will...will make me even with you! Just wait, my time will come!" >And thus Roboute Guiliman, Lord Commander of the Imperium, saved the day once more.

Or just talk to your opponents like a reasonable human being. It's not like Telion is a Captain anyways.
Also, the dude stated he was interested in RH for the rules anyways, so fuck off.

Relatively new player, I've dabbled in Tau, currently considering getting into Genestealers for a faction that isn't 100% about shooting things.
1. General genestealer tips? 2. Do we know anything about genestealers and the coming of 8th ed? Is it safe to get into them now, or should I wait to see what 8th brings? 3. Friends starting with 750pt armies. I'm looking at a Cult Insurrection with Brood Cycle, Broodcoven and Cult Mutants (Aberrants), with the only extra being ML 2 on the Magus. How does that sound for a start? 4. I'm aware that the Overkill box is one of the cheapest ways to get a bunch of the important stuff. Any other tips for cheaply getting neophytes, acolytes and metamorphs? These things are obnoxiously expensive, and I can't seem to find any used on ebay (just in-box a few bucks cheaper than elsewhere).
With the overkill box and the list from part 3 above, I'm looking at: Overkill box, Iconoward, and one box each of purestrains, neophytes, acolytes and metamorphs, looking at about $320.
Tell me what you think about them. FYI it is still a work in progress and English is not my first language so please don't minds the occasional spelling/grammatical error.

Now I'm thinking of a necron lord with ad-mech slave girls talking up how much he appreciates their mechandentrite.

Because BL HH is pants on head retarded.
Theres a couple of good books, and the rest is trash. What's sad is many of the problems, like the one you pointed out, could have been easily avoided. Rather than have emps be a fedora, they should have left that vauge. He's opposed to superstition because it powers the chaos gods and at some point that led to conflict with lorgar. The Emperor wanted to build a new galaxy spanning empire founded on reason and hope, not the ignorance and fear of the age of strife. That's all we needed to know about the Early Imperium's religious policy.
HH should have been about the major battles, seiges and exchanges and not much else. But BL doesn't seem to understand that a good books or series of books should be like a skirt: long enough to cover the topic, short enough to keep it interesting.
Jeremiah Williams
what bunker, that's a supply depot
David Flores
How is mob rule bad? I saw a game against orks where the guy failed his leadership, rolled a dice used the "boss pole" to think his guys and they just hung out after taking armor and fnp saves. At one point it even gave them stubborn at the cost of like 2 s4 ap- hits
Evan Morales
Would want to see one of those marines close up. Can't see enough of their details zoomed in, but they look choppy.

I want to see Games Workshop do a historical World War II game so that they have to bring out "Start Collecting! Nazis"

So two questions, mostly relating to homebrew and conversions.
The first is that I'm starting up rules for Chaos 'Devastator' terminators, essentially a Terminator squad with no restrictions on heavy weapons. My plan to balance this was to cap the squad at 5 men, and also make it count as a Lord of War option in a CAD. The way I see it, you can already get 6 heavy weapon terminators in a CAD if you take 3 full squads (unlikely, I know), so that would represent a Warband taking the Heavy weapon terminators from those squads and fielding them as one. In also unsure if such a squad should have a champion with a heavy weapon.
The second question relates to the first. Essentially, I had the idea to take the missiles from the Scarab terminator kit, shift them forward to be on the edge of the armor, and use them as 'horns' for Khormate versions of these. I don't have the kit though, so I'm not sure how feasible that is.
