Can someone explain to me why this exists? Maybe I'm just a brainlet but I can only imagine two circumstances under which you'd play ERPG and both of them fall flat on their asses if you think about it.

You know you can play ERPG just for fun too? Not everyone is a sex maniac who gets raging boners and need to fap if they indulge in their fetish. Also, some people are conformtable enough with their sexuality not to embarressed to show it to their friends. Hell, some people even like to have BDSM parties or orgies with their friends.

I've never ERPed before but I'd probably do it in an online game if someone else wanted to in context of the narrative. Seems like there're opportunities to develop characters there too you know?

ERPGs are actually fun with the right group
Though I will admit most spaltbooks/systems devoted to it seem ill-advised, it's the character interaction that makes it fun, not "Roll to see how hard you fuck"

No. The closest I can think off is the Pathfinder supplement for FAPP but that has the usual caster supremacy problems. Probably fun if you play non-lewd characters and run it as an apocalyptic scenario.

The base game has a lot of solid rules. It is very superficial, but you actually have rules for sex appeal and your sex skills. Simple skills, but it does what it needs to.

You are playing it with strangers online. It is like phone sex with rules.

I try to only ERP with people I would fuck if I were attracted to them, so these are folks I like and trust. Actually, given some of the stupid hookups I've had before, thanks to thinking with my dick, you could probably make a good case that I choose the people I ERP with more carefully than I choose girls. And I have, on occasion, been pretty desperate in trying to get a girl, but never in trying to ERP, so really, I'm only seeing homophobia as the big obstacle here.

There is the fan made GURPS Sex book. It includes basic stuff like lewd advantages that actually wouldn't be bad, and full autism things like sex combat and appropriate maneuvers. The core book has sex appeal and erotic art already so I don't see the point outside of it being funny IMO.

As someone who ERP's with groups of friends, we do it because it's fun.

In main sessions, things happened basically the same as a normal RPG with more lewd or erotic elements involved, sometimes played for sexy, other times played for funny or just treated as a part of the world.

Actual written sex scenes are usually reserved for time between sessions, and it's both enjoyably erotic and part of character building. Expressing intimacy between the characters, building relationships as well as cooperating to write enjoyable smut.

We're a group of people who are all comfortable enough with each other to indulge in this, knowing one anothers tastes and how to cater to them, creating both enjoyable RP and pleasant fap/schlick material on the way.

So who exactly is in your ERPG group? Are you all a bunch of degenerates?

I've never really used a dedicated ERP system, I prefer just doing something like D&D3.5 and having sex scenes inter-spliced with everything else, it's pretty good.

Well, the only time when I encountered ERPG was when my wife wanted to join a "DnD" session advertised on facebook that was couples only. When she inquired about it, she found out that it was actually "Fatal" (I did not know anyone actually played that retarded game unironically) and it was this debauched partner swap sex club. The DND thing must have been a cover. The dude hosting it tried hitting on her and she noped out of there.

It's bullshit. Not because FATAL is horrifying (it's content is actually less extreme than typical ERPGs like Black Tokyo), but because it's actually unplayable as it's unfinished and rules are horrifying in terms of crunch content.

I've never encountered scenario 1. I assume nobody does that, for reasons already stated. Most ERPGs with strangers are probably played on the internet for this reason.

Personally, the only ERPGs I've ever played have been with people from munches, which will be mixed gender groups of people who have often already seen one another naked at the very least. In which case it's just D&D as normal, but the DM goes full magical realm and occasionally there is fucking.

1)The sex is for comedy. Semi common.
