Have the players fighting a cult of people who worship the apocalypse and would like to find its cause. The cult worships the anarchy as a pure way to live. They are no more than a band of Raiders. The secret is that the cause of the apocalypse was y2k actually happening and nukes were accidentally launched.

Why you gotta make me have feels!

The Bonestorm gang is escorting a tanker full of premium unleaded petrol across the wasteland. Anyone brave enough to take them on and steal the tanker would be rich enough to retire into luxury
They're delivering it to what remains of the national government

I like to imagine all the horrible things that Peter's done to keep his ride looking so "perfect". You just know that blue paint's not cheap in the wastelands.

and the winner

But yeah, converting a western is a good idea. Unforgiven or the Lonesome Doves series would work pretty well.

Peter was already an asshole in the cartoon so after the big one he could get rough.

Alternatively, a bunch of wasteland tribal that have set up in a paint factory is a neat idea for really colourful raiders. Or paint as currency/necessary to look the brightest.

A fellow WR fan?

this

also how post- are we talking? post- or post-post?

This looks sweet.

I haven't watched it in ages but I remember getting ahold of an old GW Dark Future short story collection around the same time and they just sort of work together. Not quite light hearted, but a gleeful destructiveness.

I still play this one with my friends as a 'get drunk, shoot cars' game.

I would love a link if you've got one

Word. I just compressed all the dark future epubs I had sitting around. Not sure if the art is in the short story collection of if that's just in hardcopy.

aw tits

I don't have an epub reader

There's a bunch of free ones and file converters online if you need. Just google that shit.

Two words: LAND. TRAIN.

Seriously Google them.
