Okay, so what, it bypasses AC, does sneak attacks, and high chance of crit?

If I were to run this thing in 5e, I would make it a special encounter. First it would cast a spell to hinder the party's movement, and it would slowly advance on them, shrugging off attacks they throw at it with its huge HP pool and moderate AC, and I'd probably give it proficiency in all saving throws, too.

Once it reaches a PC, it would stab with its knife for enormous damage. I'm talking fucking huge damage, like 10d6+str or some shit like that. Give it a moderate or high attack bonus, a single attack, and enough damage to just fucking annihilate a PC.

If you don't want to give it some kind of movement-hindering ability, then have the party be otherwise trapped and forced to deal with it. The whole point of tonberries is to terrify you with their slow but inexorable advance and the desperate damage race to kill it before it can stab someone.

Huh, people are posting the 5e version now.

You should fix the formatting on the stats, though. It's all fucked up.

I basically just copied it direct from some database site without even looking. That'll teach me not to check my shitposts before submitting.

>send pacifist face character at it with zero kills under their belt
Ez

Fucking XI and Rancor.

power deathtouch
bruh

>oh noes, you need to do other things in magic.
>oh noes, black has no self sacrifice
>red can't force opponents for early aggro trades.
>green... eh, growth spell it.

It's a bad card. Especially for a 4 mana, three colour critter. You'd be better off making it hard to untap and hit like a truck to represent a tonberry in Magic. It doesn't untap normally but untaps whenever it takes damage, maybe? That's got real combo potential.

Are you really talking viability of a custom card based on a video game?

>check to make sure this is Veeky Forums
>it is
you don't?
People do that shit all the time, though.
Half of the good stat-me threads are people discussing viability of shit converted from other pop-culture/media.

I've noticed that, it's annoying.
>Why didn't you give Samurai Jack spells? He's not gonna be viable without them.

I actually sent a tonberry after some PCs recently

>Huge HP, about 1000
>Immune to most forms of Magic
>super knife damage, 15d12
>crits on a 12+
>slow movement speed, 15ft/round Cannot run

>PCs enter a large dungeon crawl
>Tonberry on floor 3/5 becomes aware of them
>constantly moves towards their position
>never sleeps or ways
>only moves
>they can outrun or trap it with non- magical means
>but it will come for you
>every distant sound they hear makes them more and more paranoid
>they eventually leave the dungeon
>but the Tonberry is coming for them

It's going to be fun.

I love this. Mind if I use it?

It's all yours, friend ;P

Wait, people go that far?
that's goddamn stupid.

It inflicts damage equal to the amount of enemies the party has killed over the course of the entire campaign.

A particularly degenerate form of Kuo-Toa.

Armed with knife and knowledge of magic revolving around punishing others.
