like, realistically, how often is the GM gonna have people glue themselves to me to prevent casting? it can't be worth it to invest heavily into concentration when going first has the potential to let me end the whole fight before it even begins with some stupid shit like color spray

Initiative is always the most important.
Concentration should be covered well enough by min-maxing your casting stat, but if you're really worried just take Combat Casting. Most times, a 5-foot step *should* be enough to buy you room to cast.

Generally speaking, Crossbow or Archery style works about as well as you need it to be depending on what firearm you pick.

Grit honestly isn't worth it without some feat for more deeds if you only have Amateur Gunslinger and the only other feat you need outside of those is Gunsmithing.

So im about to play with a GM who has a house rule that says "anyone standing up from prone no longer is subject to an attack of opportunity" I've discussed with him on how this is bad and takes away one of the few semi-viable things martial can do. He has agreed to see sample characters that might abuse his ruling, so can you guys make any suggestions that might abuse this rule? I'm not gonna play them but he did agree to run a sample combat and read the builds. Pathfindee core and advanced/ultimate books all allowed.

Just go human and take both at first level. You'll never regret it when you DO finally need to make a concentration check. Like just last session my GMhad two large creatures in a small area and I had to make concentration checks to cast defensively for each spell. But because I had combat casting I didn't take two AoO that would have done 12-21 damage each.

Paizo has never been good and being consistent with demonyms. I prefer Brevic myself.

Stalker (Vigilante)//Magus does skillpoints and you'll have more arcane themes!

Brutal Slayer//Phantom Blade allows you to actually go unarmed, be STR-based, and be STRONG AS HECK. You'll also have lots of psychic/ki flavor and a GHOST SWORD that turns into GHOST FISTS

I just open a dictionary and pluck a word out, keeps it simple you know?

Though I'm kind of a fan of characters who just use what they have available so I don't name weapons often.

Besides Shocking Grasp on a Magus I can't really think of anything in particular I'd stick Intensify on. I mean, Magic Missile, if the DM lets me and I'm trying to be cool with it, I guess. But I don't tend to use a lot of Metamagic. I suppose if I were a blaster mage I might want an Intensify Rod but I don't see myself ever taking the feat. I'd want something like Sickening Spell instead, but maybe I'm just not blasty enough at heart.

Yes, but only if it says (D) in the duration. That stands for dismissable. It takes a standard action to dismiss your own spell, for some damn reason. I think there's a feat to do it as a free or maybe swift action. Come to think of it, I think it's actually a metamagic feat. Fleeting Spell, or something of the sort? It's trash, in any case.

Point blank shot, precise shot, rapid shot, deadly aim, manyshot as feats. Pick a composite long bow

clustered shots maybe later, along with improved precise shot.

Fighter, Ranger, Slayer, Paladin, and Inquisitor can do it with these feats.
