Amonkhet Spoilers

So, what name are you going to use for this thing if it sees any play?

Because god knows no one can say 'serpopard' with a straight face.

hissy cat?

snekat the non-counterable

Isn't really much worse than camelopard is it

serpopards are well-known mythical animals from Mesopotamia, pleb.
Learn something about mythology beyond Forgotten Realms

Were they actually called serpopards, though?

that is the Greek term. The Egyptian term was Sedja/Sudja. The original mesopotamian term is not recorded.

I would rather have those stats reversed

Its like its designed to go sideways but you also want it alive

Atleast trample would be cool, or flash but have it be 4/2.

All in all kind of boring but probably decently powerful.

Pussy snake can't be countered.

Serpaderp.

I will probably just call it sneaky kitty, avoids counters and smuggles other creatures in.

Sedja is a much better name than fucking Serpopard

Thank the lords it's bolt-able.

Oh look. It's an aggressively costed creature that shits all over control decks. Again. Doesn't that sound familiar?

>cat snake

If you're playing a control deck that doesn't have a solution for that by turn 3, you deserve to lose.

>concerned about countering creature in modern and standard
ahahahahahahhahah

It's a green creature with a toughness less than four.

Did you miss Kaladesh or something?

Scrounging Bandar looks much better than Wily Bandar atleast.

There appears to be a cycle of cycle lands.

>two mammals
>a reptile and a mammal
just saying

neat!

...

I'm giving this a 50/50 chance of being real.

...

What's Egyptian for "Me likey"?

...

...

>All that water
>when a 9x9 square with a single block of water is more effecient

Really like the design, but would have preferred Enemy lands. Either way these are great.

"I don't understand the concept of irrigation."

"I don't understand the concept of a Minecraft joke"

It's a Minecraft joke. I think.

Not that guy, but why would someone on Veeky Forums be expected to get a minecraft joke?

It's literally on their Main Page.

I thought the gods were being spoiled today?

MaRo said Monday

They wouldn't, but it's not for people who don't get it, it's for other people who have played Minecraft to snicker at.

...

Could this work with the cycle lands well enough to be a deck?

Gitgud Frog has been doing well even without the cycle lands

>please let them reprint Astral Slide

They will never reprint it

>tfw no counterspell

Sorry user

What's wrong with the old templating? Could a functional reprint still be printed?

>rare
lol

Gonna make a deck with this on MTGO modern.
Fuck all those fkn counterspell decks, all the time, everytime.

For you.

No. It's way too expensive.

Yes one could
See: Harmless offering

...

Isnt minecraft for children though? In b4 implying mtg isn't for children

Anacan't let you do that?
Anacan't be stopped?
Fuck you I'm a snake cat.

not really, no

>Plains Island
What? You were expecting dual landtypes to be at uncommon?

The Molten Vortex Loam meme control deck is BACK, baby.

They should call the new cycle of lands bicycle lands because they have two basic land types (bi) and cycle

As long as you don't try to name them something extremely retarded like Tango lands then it's fine.

Nice to see this in standard because having the dual landtypes subtypes is really fucking useful when theres literally nothing that interacts with it.

I like it

Not that user, but for what they are, yes. If wizards really wanted to make standard cheap they would make these more attainable.

Shadow/Reveal lands

...

I Like it. It is much better than battle or tango lands.

...

Poptart cat

Has anyone figured out what these lands are for?

Here's every card currently in Standard that cares about land types.

Won't work. lol

They'll probably print something that's like Astral Slide but only triggers off your own cycling.

And it'll be a five-drop and you need to pay W every time you cycle for it to trigger.

Get dunked on fag

There will probably be cards that care about cycling.

Basically they are Turn 1 lands and Cycle fodder afterwards in case of manaflooding.

>thicket
>one rock with a few shrubs

Yeah, no.

Strictly worse shocks aka standard fodder

I actually originally heard of minecraft on Veeky Forums.

Living End might play it for the cycling.

At what age did you grow out of Blue control and realize that Black control is far more interesting and skill based?

>Strictly worse shocks

please learn what words mean before you use them

Could run them with Loam for card draw? That used to be a thing with the Onslaught cycle lands.

Retarded kitten

Maybe we'll get some land tutors or mana fixers that rely on land type? Something like Farseek.

No. How does that help at all? Loving end doesn't bring lands back lol

I thought living end cared about cycling mostly to put many creatures in the graveyard quickly, does it benefit from lands there as well?

Wow, 4 mana to counter my 3 mana creature.

>control
You're a faggot regardless. Control is for losers. Tempo is much more fun and skill intensive

I hope they announce they're printing fetches next block and then do the Mirage cycle.

Don't listen to that dummy, this is the real answer

Living end is very greedy for mana because we want to cast our 4/4s for 5 eventually.

You will eventually run out of cards. Control can just draw more.

>Living End might play it for the cycling.

...do you even know what Living End does?

>tfw can't play any cycle duals in my Gitgud Frog EDH deck

The real living end card in amonkhet

Reminder that once this name picks up traction Veeky Forums will unequivocally hate it.

>5/4
>flying
I would play it even without the ability

Just wait until the small expansion

I know that feel.

It really irritated me that we only ever get half a full cycle of lands. Why can't they just print all 10 at once and let the players sort it out? We're left with half- finished land cycles, and it's usually allied pairs that get the good shit.

jesus what do the mythics look like then

>he doesn't know about green's new suite of card drawing spells

That's the point though. They want to make allied color fixing easy. The design philosophy says enemy colors yeild more powerful effects, so color fixing for enemy colors should be rarer and more unwieldy to balance it.

>Embalm
Already hate this mechanic

But it means you can have more things to crew Heart of Kiran!
