What's the easiest way to play pic related on tabletop? Like, with the least amount of work to home brew?

Grab any star wars rpg. Change the names of the races.

It's not like trash effect wasn't based on kotor anyway.

Oh and by the way sweetie... Um... enjoy your game :^)

I will fuck your shit right up.

With what, a dick made out of Legos?

First, nice trips.

Second, while probably could have been a bit nicer about it, he does have fundamentally the right idea. Any Star Wars game is likely to do the best job in simulating Mass Effect.

>Playing SJW Effect in any form

>being so obsessed with politics you immediately dismiss a fun setting

There is a d20 system for it. Its okay. Played it a little with my friends and we had some good fun.

>being so obsessed with vidya you have to make tabletop about them.

It's a decent enough setting. Easy to understand for newbs without making them worry about having to read 50 bajillion books or wondering if every other NPC is actually some OP Sith, Jedi, or something-or-other

>autistic star wars clone with none of the things that make star wars good and all of the things that make trash effect bad
>fun
Name one thing in trash effect that is fun because it is in trash effect. You can't. Anything even remotely good about that pile of shit can easily be in any random sci-fi setting which doesn't include pic related.

I played this webm like 5 times thinking my browser was fucked.

Also, holy shit they're not even pretending that the game isn't an ayy lmao sex sim anymore.

I don't understand how anyone has any interest in Trash Effect after 3 ruined everything forever and Andromeda is a train wreck in slow motion.

from the looks of that webm it's an ayy lmao silent hill game

>Also, holy shit they're not even pretending that the game isn't an ayy lmao sex sim anymore.
Nope, they even bragged their new scenes were practically porn.

Actually, having played through most of it, there's more people TO have sex with in the game but far less actual sexuality in the whole thing, and even the "casual sex" encounters you need to wait quite awhile to actually get to and are limited to two characters.
Basically, BioWare talked up about how it will really push/use that M rating and then changed absolutely nothing. Either their marketing division has literally no contact with their development division (it's possible, the entire staff of BioWare is just EA Games staff now), or it's just flat lies (even more possible, as it's all EA Games now).

>it's just flat lies
Probably this. They told us every Mass Effect 3 player would get a unique end based on our choices.

Yeah, it's a bald-faced lie. They actually show less then the ones in ME1. You basically cannot trust even one thing they said about the game.

So far as I'vs played through it it's decent and fun in good ways, but it's flaws are not only annoying but are deeply perplexing because they are flaws that were fixed in earlier games they made even as they addressed some complaints about ME3.

It's like exactly one group of people during the development team spent all of their time slacking off instead of actually doing work and then rushed it during the last five months before the release.

I've no deep emotional attachment to the ME series or even BioWare, and thus I rate ME:A
>Confusing/10
Not a bad game (not the best game either), has fun parts (total character customization is fun, combat is VERY different but certainly not boring), but the graphics and lighting problems are so numerous and so incongruous with the otherwise beautiful environments that I genuinely haven't a clue what happened there.

Everything is fun but average.
A good game, but nothing spectacular. Just....middle of the road good.

Oh, and also is by far the most annoying character in-game, and as far as I know nobody who has played the game actually likes her.
The other characters are okay. Interesting enough but nothing special.

I fucking love the series, it's tied with Metal Gear and Mega Man for my favorite series, and I agree completely. It's just a middling game.

why the fuck would you even like trash effect let alone love it?

tfw you used to love it and have it in your top 3, but now hate it with the passion that can only come from love betrayed

us old dudes feel that way about fallout

NV was alright.
Obsidian might be allowed to get their hands on it again.

Not him, but opinions exist that are separate from yours and long after both you and I die and are forgotten will continue to exist, and thus your opinion is no more valid then any other one.

That said, I've never had a strong emotional attachment to it either, though by the time the first one came out my job necessitated emotional distance from most games that I think has substantially leeched my ability to enjoy them the way I used to.

What emotional attachment I had to the series died with Shepard.

I really do hate the angle of this new game. Probably the most annoying thing about it is even though these characters are all supposed to be gruff n' tuff space commandos in the same vein as the original crew they all act like dopey teenagers. The writing just feels like bad Avengers fan fiction.

>o-opinions aren't f-facts!!!
you can always tell an assblasted biodrone trying to keep it cool from 1000 miles away

Actually, that is the one thing that BioWare kept it's promise on; both the Ryders and the crew of the Tempest are considerably less experienced (Ryder is actually eight years younger then Shepard according to his/her bio) and unlike Shepard they had seen no combat before leaving the military, which also is something BioWare talked about.

I had no attachment to Shepard either because reviewing his/her games were part of my job...and also because nothing that happened in-game really convinced me to care about him/her specifically at all. His/her personality was deliberately extremely flat and tonelesss, with FemShep having a mildly more distinct personality simply because her lines were largely copy/pasted, which gave her a bit of a personality on accident.

Sorry fella, but my opinion on the ENTIRE ME series is "average to good".
Unless you're doing the Veeky Forums thing where middle ground doesn't exist and using that as your opinion and everyone who doesn't side with your particular extreme is wrong, in which case carry on as your opinion is still useful and valued.

>the crew of the Tempest are considerably less experienced (Ryder is actually eight years younger then Shepard according to his/her bio) and unlike Shepard they had seen no combat before leaving the military, which also is something BioWare talked about.

Just because it was intentional doesn't make it good. I have no problem with a new, inexperienced crew handling things but there's no reason they'd hand over this important paramilitary operation to a bunch of kids. But apparently "Space Commando Leader" is a hereditary title in this universe.

I won't pretend Shepard oozed personality. But from the start you know he's a guy who gets the job done and gets it done right. The Ryders offer none of that, and the writers behind them completely failed to understand how to make that work.

Good not being "great" or "excellent" mind you. It's more like a meal at a place you might eat again at but you didn't love and won't particularly remember.

This I would completely agree with, with the exception of the part of "writers at BioWare", because actually the literal last original BioWare employee had left at the end of the last Dragon Age game before the game even came out.
BioWare is just a brand name now that is a sock puppet for distributing EA Games materials and largely has been since around the end of the first Dragon Age with most holdouts finally having left some time ago.

If you want a BioWare game made by people IN the company rather then just a corporate logo (and what's the point of that?) you have to go somewhere other then BioWare.

Ugh, this.
After Gaider and Karpshyn were gone it was all like "welp, everything they churn out is going to be a complete crapshoot".

They're still writers though, and they work for Bioware. They didn't write the original games but they're still by definition Bioware Writers. While it's just a corporate sock EA does give them some leeway in who they hire and the company has a particular idea in mind when they hire their writers. You don't accidentally hire a woman who outright says she wants a feature to skip gameplay so she can get to the dialogue wheels faster.

Coincidentally from what I understand BW is such a joke nowadays people who leave the company don't even bother putting it on their resumes. It actually hinders future employment chances.

This is from all reports completely accurate.
BioWare even at it's best was not the best (it has some great classic titles but just as a many ones nobody can remember), but right now is such a horrible revolving door of talent that comes and goes and lacks direction or even basic standards that you might as well ignore it's name when it pops up and try to dig to find out who is ACTUALLY working on the game.

The EA buyout really hurt the company in terms of talent and skill I think.

>EA ruins something

Man not like that's ever happened before.

EA claimed something about trying to improve the company after the nearly universally poor reviews that Battlefront got, but with the intense credibility problem that they have it's sort of difficulty to take anything they say seriously.

>SJW Effect
>Only two m/m pairings available
>All m/m romance is fade-to-black stuff while m/f and f/f isn't.

ME:A is for straight dudes to bone alien chicks with a side helping of watching chicks do it because lesbians are hot. As for HURR Y NO WHITE SKIN TONE, everything else about the game is so fucky and bugged that I honestly do believe the devs' claim that they couldn't get paler skin to look anything other than corpse-like in the lighting engine.

>still cumming in your pants over lucas' rotting corpse
trash effect was never anywhere approaching good, but it's hardly like the """"source material""" is Veeky Forumserature

Why would you assume I like star wars after they mass effect'd it with the last 5 movies?

>I honestly do believe the devs' claim that they couldn't get paler skin to look anything other than corpse-like in the lighting engine.
Honestly corpse-like is what a number of them look like anyway. They should have just had another division of bioware/EA work on the faces and skin textures.

Stop pretending to be retarded. It's retarded.

As a serious answer, google Mass Effect D6, it's a fairly high-quality hack of the Star Wars D6 that does the job well enough.

I mean, it vindicates this turbo-queer , but it's still a good enough homebrew.

>hack of
numale detected

>So far as I'vs played through it it's decent and fun in good ways, but it's flaws are not only annoying but are deeply perplexing because they are flaws that were fixed in earlier games they made even as they addressed some complaints about ME3.

This right here. ME2 looked better and had better voice work on my 360 than this does on my XBOne.

Everything you like about Mass Effect is done better in other IPs.
Tell us what the big selling points are for you and we'll show you where it's been done better.

Design half a system and then pretend it's the full thing, then charge $60 for it and call anyone who complains racist/sexist/homophobic/islamophobic/whatever
