Is there any connection between orcs and the classic green skinned witch?

Maybe. They were originally just bigger versions of goblins, at least based on Tolkien's descriptions. Goblins never had a set skin tone in artwork. In 4e D&D they went back to using a more Tolkien-like sickly skin tone instead of the more vibrant green of the orks in Warhammer (and its derivative Warcraft ofc). Shadowrun also gives the less of a green color. I don't like the green skin it makes no sense to me.

well in Warcraft they aren't naturally green skinned either
