Blood Axes are da best Klan, and yer a grot if ya tink udderwise!

>Can't recruit new team members in Shadow War because overcosted

First for a blood axe shadow war team is the most powerful team in the game!

4:th for how dare you replace Duncan with random animu shit

Can we please get a non-/pol/ edition some time?

I'm looking to buy/build a new gaming table anons. Post pics for inspiration.

What do you play on?

The Embed joke just gets fucking funnier every thread

That looks awesome!

>currently thinking of making a warband of Chaos Cultists of the Alpha Legion

As soon as you learn not to talk about /pol/ things.

>As soon as one learns to ignore it and not get baited.

Funny thing is that they even dropped them by what is effectively 10 points each and they still cost too much

Why do Sisters of Battle currently run out of stock and get restocked every time?

Are they making new metal models or did they kept an over stock for more than decade?

In any case how can GW be this retarded?

Don't worry I'm mindful enough to not continue it into another thread.

T. Socialist

What would be the most fair way to allow Shotguns in a Khorne marine army, rules-wise? Let them swap bolt pistols for normal shotguns? Boltguns for space marine shotguns? Letting chosen buy those fancy Death watch shotguns?

I'm not sure what would be too much. I just want a Khorne force focused on short range shooting.

>Space marines in power armor
>with shotguns
disgusting

Is it really?

how trash is my first ever army

I believe the packaging has changed. I got a Canoness and the packaging is minty fresh and new.

Also, comes with great choices to the model.

I did listen to an interview of staff from GW who do make codices etc. And they know the demand for plastic sisters.

Imperium of Man
Aeldari
Orks
Tau
Tyranids
Necrons
Chaos

Fucking choose one alliance.

We made ours. About 100 bucks in supplies. Can fold in the center with removable surface, center posts, and folding legs. You basically just make a frame.

My best guess is that, like a lot of old stuff back when they made Gorkamorka and all that, they massively overstocked, but unlike Necrons and Space Marines, Sisters never sold well, like Andy Chambers himself said. They were almost squatted were it not for him getting permission to put them into the Witch Hunter's Codex.

I'd take unarmored/carapace gladiator recruits if I could, but that's not really an option.

>>those looted cadian panels
Very nice touch.

I always wonder why? Could the metal models alone being the issue? I mean at the time everyone was getting some form of plastic while the Bolter Bitches where still on metal release again and again.

I would just two squads of Vanguard personally

Why there no shadow team ig rules?

Could anything good be done with the two missing legions / primarchs?

Has anyone seen any fan theory / fiction about them which isn't total shit, a joke or involving shit that isn't even in the 40k setting (Sigmar, the protagonist from Doom, that kind of thing)?

The new Sisters of Silence codex says they have fortresses and orders across every segmentum, but the end of the Wrath of Magnus indicates that they've been locked up in the High Lord's sex-dungeons beneath Terra for 7000 or so years.

How did they get reproliferated and reestablished across the Imperium so quickly?

Made to order Necromunda range when?

I want to sexually pleasure some Sisters of Silence!

I just went and bought a second-hand ping pong table - comes with legs, a huge surface (enough room for armies at each end, as well as your 6x4), and all up it cost about fifty bucks. Can even use it as a ping pong table, if I want to.

They aren't in the GW download, because everyone who owns a legit copy of the game already has rules for them.

There's photos of the relevant bits of rulebook in the Shadow War General thread.

>Could anything good be done with the two missing legions / primarchs?
Sure.

>Has anyone seen any fan theory / fiction about them which isn't total shit
On rare occasion. But people who want to follow the rules of the canon generally don't make Lost Legions. Which is made more impressive by how little rules there are to begin with.

>>ping pong table
Fantastic idea, desu.

Don't ever mix special weapons, and you probably want a Dunecrawler because they're superb. Also, never EVER take Arquebi. They're so useless and overcosted it's not even funny.
Drop the Balistarius and run both Dragoons in the Maniple, preferably as one unit of two. Swap the Arquebus for another Arc and cut the Rangers down to 5 men. Also drop the Skull, it's a tad useless itself and swap the Vanguard Arc for another Preferred Enemy Plasma. You should have enough points for a Dunecrawler then, so get one with Neutron Laser (and extra stubber if you have a spare five points), leave the rest at home.
Get the Dragoons Serpentas for a little light dakka and an extra attack each, and for the love of god buy some Omnispexes wherever possible, they're amazing. Refractor field is a nice thing, but you can get better toys for that. Something like this is an excellent 500pts list for Skits, we do exceedingly well at low points due to no taxes and powerful cheap infantry and walkers. Everything in the book bar Ruststalkers are good to brilliant, and they do have a niche as tank hunters, even if Dragoons do it better.

yeah thats one of those things that ive been thinking about, i also really want a dunecrawler so im thinking of replacing the ironstrider balistari to fit one in

>IoM most bloated faction
>Necrons will never ever get an update
>Orks and Nids are still shit

oh i didnt even know the arquebi were trash, thanks for that

ive also been thinking about getting putting in a dunewalker so its good to know that they are great, thanks for THAT

and thanks for the list i might make some changes to it just to fit in with how i think i want to play my army

mfw I guilliman always rolls deep with my astra militarum infantry spam-a-lam

The only official information we have is that both were purged by the space wolves, one for mutation and one for most likely heresy.

The only theory I've seen that I liked was that they were really big into xeno tech, like the Primarch landed on a xeno world and refused to do any sort of conquest, so his legion got written off as a failure and the records erased,to remove the idea that aliens could do something nice like raising a Primarch.

For the others, I'd imagine they'd be loyal, but with Gene-seed flaws that make the blood angels and space wolves look like perfection. To fit with the classic movie monster theme of the others, perhaps they suffered severe organ and tissue failure constantly, meaning they had to often stitch on replacement limbs, graft on more tissue, or transplant organs. They also had dynamics with them wherever they went to act as upgraded defibrillators in case of sudden organ failure. The Emperor decided that a legion of Frankenstein monsters living in agony was stupid, and so had Russ purge them.

Ok, let's have an creative exercise:

Add expansions to the other Xenos alliances to get them at least to Eldar Niveau. Minor retcons are allowed but character must be preserved and you aren't allowed to simply split the codex up.

Oh yeah, you can certainly tweak the hell out of that, for instance the Dragoon pistols are a YMMV option, I just love the things too damn much. Some people kit their Warlord alphas, I don't really bother, since he's such a massive wimp he's probably dead anyway even fighting Tactical Marines in melee, and the stock gun is the best at range. No problem, almost everyone made all those mistakes starting out. I know I did, still got 3 Arquebus rangers gathering dust from back then.

Thoughts on this list? Fluffy list for a force who the Emperor has sent to guard a future saint like Thor or something who will battle Chaos the coming Storm (TM)

Change your fluff so it's the Ecclesiarchy sending them, not the Emperor (he is a lighthouse).

Add yourself a cheeky 25pts Priest from IA to represent the guy they're guarding. Chuck him in a Custards squad for buffs.

Hm, wouldn't be bad idea either. Wanted to use the inquisitor, but just a plain priest wouldn't be a bad idea.

A certain other chan was hacked to shit on the 1st, so I assume some refugees will come here and misbehave until it's fixed. Just ignore them and focus on our devil worshiping miniature game.

Damn Tzeench.

Please tell me it's 8
They've been coming here disturbing shit from their Veeky Forums

Suggestions?

>They've been coming here disturbing shit from their Veeky Forums
I doubt that, 8 tg is like 12 people and all they do is share pdfs.

Bit too many Peltasts, maybe.

Dunno much about priests getting armoured up desu but Inquisitor could work. To me though a cheap Priest means you have a squishy model to defend as a little objective for yourself while you play (fluffy seems your bag), but it's not too massive a point investment to represent that.

Have the core rules for Shadow War been released anywhere yet?

is it common for imperium to have prisoners, thinking about doing cultists in an prison uniform color scheme but have no idea lorewise if they even have prison worlds etc.

Most cultists begin as either prisoners or impoverished workers, in fact. The Imperium also makes use of Penal Legion, Guard regiments made up of prisoners, as well.

Yes, they often recruit entire regiments of super mega double cannon fodder guards from penal worlds.

Penal Worlds are indeed a thing. The Black Crusade premade is about inciting a prisoner revolt.

penal warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Penal_Legion

They have entire world for this.
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Penal_World

And a somewhat famous regiment, the Savlar Chem Dogs, who fight on Armageddon. So I guess it wouldn't be unreasonable to have escaped prisoners/penal legions who turned to chaos.

IoM has countless planets. If you have an idea that is somewhat feasible in real world then something like that probably exists in IoM.

I like that the blob makes shooting -1S when being targeted.
Are the hoplites worth taking in conjunction with peltasts? Maybe just more vanguard?

ahhh great , thanks guys

Hoplites are only really great against vehicles, but are so great against them that you'll rarely need anything else against vehicles.

I'd probably drop the 20 dudes to 10 and take more Vanguard.

I've been on a massive streak of wins lately as guard, just beat a ynnari warp spider army. Are we really as shit as tg makes out, or is that just an exaggeration?

I expect payment in the form of tips and critiques on my yellow dudes

I suppose I will re-link these for posterity.
I didn't see a thread for shadow war so I will link here.

Would hoplights make arc rifles unnecessary? Just to verify, the special rule you get for having a blob isn't worth the points? Would you say the dragoons are worse than hoplites?

>Has artillery
>Has ignores cover weapons
>Has multiple different types of functional anti-vehicle weapons
>Units are cheap

No, guard are not shit. Tyranids and orks are shit.

Veeky Forums doesnt play the game, Veeky Forums makes every army appreciation as if everyone was playing tournament WAACfaggotry.

What is the cheesiest SoB/Inquisition List you can make?

>AND WHEN I LOOK INTO YA FYOOTCHA ITS DA GREEN DAT I SEE

>not Sanguinor.jpg
Disgusting

If you just spend no points AND win 3 games you can get another one. (Which may be replacing one that died during those missions.)

You don't need the 20 dudes to get it, 10 are enough. And they don't invalidate Arc Rifles entirely, since Hoplites are very low range.

Dragoons and Hoplites are also not really comparable, since they don't fill the same roll.

Hey guys my lfgs is doing a 3k unbound tournament, what model should I spam for maximum victory

i love the work already done but a slight criticism is that it looks too clean in several ways. feel free to ignore my suggestions of course as it's already lovely

-the banner sticks out to me most of all. it simply looks too organized and well put together.
-the overall paintjob is also a bit unusually conformed looking for an orc vehicle. i might throw on a few mis-matched colored panels, rusting, bare metal, and battle scarring.
-the top components such as the bars look pretty pristine. bending/breaking./twisting a few and adding on a few ork-ish bits would go a logn way.

again, just my suggestions as it's already great but i think these changes would really elevate it

I like the concept of space marine scouts, but refuse to buy the hideous models. What third-party alternatives are there?

Is war convo still legal? I never see lists for it anymore.

Do this, but add 5 more Contemptors with double graviton blasters and power fists.

Something something, Exorcists.
+
Something something, Jokaeros.

>hats

I literally took the atillery company formation for ignore cover twinlinked artillery, a shit load of conscripts and a couple of lemans to beat the ynnari. The cadian formations (not the big decurion or the pointless infantry spam one) are fucking great.

I understand. Thanks for the advice. Would you invest the points into a full plascal squad? I'm not entirely sure if the list is really missing something

Literally all ML2 furioso librarian dreads

You mean 10-man, 3 PlasCal? It's pretty risky, considering that 9 Gets Hot shots can easily result in a wound, but if you use something that allows a re-roll of it, you should be fine. It's definitely going to kill anything you aim it at.

Oh yeah, legal, it's just it's so monobuild noone bothers listing since you just take it, don't be a wargear idiot and then ally Psykers or something, or get more Kataphrons. Flexible and less WAAC decurion or Mega-FoC when?

Yeah I guess I'd rather just depend on arcs as my specials. What do you think of dropping enough to fit cult breachers? Is that too much anti tank?

Spent my annual work bonus getting all the dudes to put this list together for casual play. Feedback welcome.

Also, what army should I collect next?

I'm retarded.
> Spent my annual work bonus getting all the dudes to put this list together for casual play. Feedback welcome.

> Also, what army should I collect next?

Fallen Angels :^)

Or IG, to have lots of models to build and paint, while being able to bring in useful allies units.

Wouldn't cut things just for those Breachers, that'd be overkill. If you do want to really run them, I'd only really take them as a Holy Requisitioner, but I don't think you'll need them in addition to the other stuff.

Ok so pretty much just more cheap bodies? Anything else?
I was thinking of Coteaz in addition to an astropath, what do you think?

Think I got it.

The entire idea is to hide the Psyker squads behind the Exorcist. Use Prescience and make it rain.

No idea if that could work.

Never allied anything to my AdMech, so no idea how that would go, but using Coteaz for ObSec does sound alright in theory.
Personally, I'd probably drop the Astropaths and use their and Coteaz' 200 points to slap Cawl in and form a Skitarii CAD with him as the HQ choice. Also gives the Vanguards ObSec, ads some decent extras with his own Canticles and is a great tank to put in front of your Hoplites or Peltasts, sicne he'll be a 2+ armor re-rolling while part of their unit (also works with a normal TPD but Cawl is far tankier, of course).
That said, I don't think you NEED either of those two options, just that it could be worth a try.

Coteaz rules works on the detachment he is in.

Right now there isn't a way to add him to a AdMech formation/detachment.

It works in Castellans of the Imperium because he is part of the massive detachment.

I had planned on using the psykers for giving kataphrons divination and if included Coteaz for seizing initiative and some interceptor for outflanking and deep striking, with peltasts or kataphrons thatd be a pretty nasty salvo of free overwatch. I don't think Coteaz gives my detachment obsec to be honest but I could be wrong. If I put Cawl in peltasts or vanguard he'd have follow majority toughness. With kataphron this would be mitigated, both units having really tanky HQs but both very expensive targets.
He rerolls his armor with secutarii?
I like how Cawl looks but I'm not sure if he's a point sink or not..

>all those exorcists
Ridiculous. My sister-loving heart digs it.

>MtO Necromunda

I heard that several boards on Veeky Forums were merged for April Fools. Who merged with Veeky Forums?

no one. We were left out ;_;
