Player character has a Noun AdjectiveNoun name

>player character has a Noun AdjectiveNoun name

What are some cliches you're tired of seeing at your table?

I like AdjectiveNoun last names though. Although I just prefer easy to pronounce first names.

I can't into last names. Please help

>Flint Fireforge
>Sturm Brightblade
>Goldmoon
>Riverwind
>Tanis Halfelven
>Tasslehoff Burrfoot

I like the AdjectiveNoun or NounAdjective surnames, actually. Its either that or some random gibberish that would fit in Lovecraftian language that supposedly means something in some obscure language, or just rl surnames. after all.

Yeah, that's as stupid as naming someone after their profession.

Who has a last name like "Smith," "Thatcher" or "Baker?" It's so unrealistic.

Tasslehoff Sandchest is my new sea-elf monk

I like them, it's part of the genre

>Chad Thundercock

>Not AdjectiveVerbNoun
Mike HorribleBikingAccidentington

OP, you're totally right.
>not learning a dead language and the history of names in 17 cultures so you can pick a better name suited to your role
>not naming your character after an obscure character from fiction then acting high and mighty but secretly being upset when nobody gets the reference
>not ironically naming your character NounAdjective but having it be an anagram of a deeper meaning, challenging everyone to figure it out, and then feeling like Peter Segal when nobody can.
>not naming your character according to strict principles of numerology based on the ability scores you rolled or generated, then changing your name when you get a belt of giant strength

It's like everyone hates fun.

Is "Executioner" a surname?

I think you meant "Steven Segal"

In the Netherlands there's a soccer coach called Beenhakker (Bonechopper in English). And let's not forget that Matamoros (Moroccanslayer) is a pretty common family name in Spain.

How about noun verbadjective?
Mike Bikingred, sounds much more bieavable

NounVerber names > AdjectiveNoun names

>Lance Stormshield.

Muscle Largekick
Iron Strongdead
Manly Hugebeef
Lift Chestpunch
Steel Bigman

I know someone with the surname of Axeman, so yes.

If he isn't a knight that uses a lance and has a shield with a thundercloud on it, I will be greatly disappointed.

I'm stealing Iron Strongdead for a Dwarf Necromancer

Jinkies, I found a total freakin' loser!

>Noun AdjectiveNoun name
It's a name so it's just a proper noun.
