The first few eps are really quite dire, but it does get considerably better.

I mean, it never moves above what you would expect from low-budget CGI, but it isn't terrible any more.

In the manga, Serval has:
- Dashed a kilometer in 34 seconds. That's 106 km/h.
- Climbed a rock in 58 seconds. Her handler notes that a trained human would have done the same rock in over an hour.
- Lifted a 300 kg rock, then tossed it 16 meters.
Unfortunately, the anime doesn't replicate those feats, but it's still stated that manga Serval and anime Serval are the same character. Somewhat. Still, in the anime she cut a vegetable in very many pieces in midair with her claws.

As for the anime, yes, it's bad CGI. It more than makes up for it.
Also it was made by like ten dudes in a basement with mostly literally who VAs and they were fully expecting the series to sell like crap.
