Write up to follow.

My first order of business is to trace out the town's sewer system/underground cave network and set up a campsite somewhere comfortable preferably near a fresh water source, the first season will be spent mapping out the entirety of the sewer system, finding out where the drain pipes start and end, killing level 3 threat and lower monsters with my arcane enchanted gun and getting trained and healed when necessary.

Once I have established a safe perimeter and camp, its time to set up my piss bomb making workshop. Buy the necessary equipment from the alchemy shop and large cauldrons from the market. Reagents remain the same, nitric acid/aqua fortis, mercury/quicksilver. ethanol/rectified spirits from the bar and aluminum shavings and get to work.

My daily routine will probably be to place the large cauldrons underneath the drain pipes from men washroom urinals, let the cauldrons collect the piss as I go about hunting to meet my quota, at around the evening when the cauldrons are full, start boiling the piss down, study at the library researching ways to extract and store monster souls in arcane binding traps and do a little hunting on the side, at night filter the boiling piss through a hopper lined with fine linen cloth, let the filtered piss cool and slowly pour in nitric acid, urea nitrate will precipitate out as yellowish/whitish crystals because its not very soluble in water solutions wash the crystals with cold water and filter again, collecting and storing the crystals away in my pock dimension. Once every week I make a trip to the town to buy more reagents and supplies.

A couple a seasons in, start making mercury fulminate to act as my explosive primer, dissolve mercury in nitric acid and slowly pour in ethanol, do this in the open air with a lot of ventilation if possible but the poison skill would mitigate a lot of the harmful effects of the toxic fumes, let the reaction cool down and wash with water, mercury fulminate will precipitate out as pinkish crystals, filter, extract and store wet in water.

In the season leading up to the culling is when I start manufacturing my bombs, the visitor perk is going to be extremely useful in this regard, I can pop into a public library, access the internet and memorize the public domain and free publications on improvised explosive devises and explosively formed penetrators, thanks to recall and relatively good int I should be able to retain and write down all the information with constant back and forth trips.

Head to the blacksmith and use whatever tributes I have collected to commission containers, bowls and brass caps to be made. The basic pipe bomb will be filled with a 4:1 mixture of urea nitrate to aluminum shavings, sealed with candle/bee wax with a brass percussion cap filled with mercury fulminate affixed inside each bomb through a narrow tube with a spring loaded striker pin held in place by a firing pin needled above the primer. I can rig up trip wire landmines or throw them like grenades or set them off manually with my gun.

EFP traps are just going to be metal drums filled with the urea nitrate and aluminum explosive mixture packed in and sealed with a inverted copper bowl with the same mercury fulminate primer and detonating mechanism.

Hopefully by the time the culling has started I'd have a few monster souls captured alongside a wurm soul for digging out tunnels and defensive perimeters and enough explosives to last until the culling is finished.

I've thrown a few graphical possibilities here. I'm leaning towards lighter boxes (because I think it helps a lot) and sticking with the same font (because the amount of text / word length I used were designed around it & it would require rewrites / not fill the space properly if changes).

Thoughts?

That's actually expected. The boxes have no borders. They just have a glow-effect on them, which should be blending. It's nothing specific to your monitor.

I think using the usual font with the thicker lines in places helps with the readability. The other font is ok for headings or whatever (like in the Tundian intro box). Also I think not having the stroke (as it is in the aforementioned Tundian intro) is a bit better on the eyes.

I'm just not much of one for font-searching and only have so many on my computer. If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears.

That's what I figured. This is what I get for trying to mix things up.

I always suggest basic fonts for body text cause they allow for legibility at decent font sizes. It's the standard for most mediums for a reason, but that's basically it. Essentially you could fit a lot more on the page just by using 10-12 point Helvetica or something similar. On the flip side, if you're not up for writing more, it just means you can downsize everything to smaller image dimensions.

That isn't to say that the font you're using is impossible to read, it's just slightly distracting on text that shouldn't be distracting.

TL;DR it's fine now since it can be read relatively fine, but if you want to be anal about design choices then you might wanna go with different font choices.

That's my first time saying that, but I agree with anons in the previous thread. I don't want to force the author to do anything for me like an entitled cunt you obviously think I am, and I loved other CYOAs by the same author, but if a lot of people don't like something it's a food for thought, not an excuse to be overly defensive. It doesn't mean they're right or you need to change everything to cater to their tastes, just a signal to maybe think about the reason they don't like it. And the disgust for the AI character, in my opinion, is completely warranted.

Much as I hate to forgo utility magic, I don't really see room for it in my build. The low intelligence stat kind of bugs me, but since it's a measurement of logic and magical power, I'll put it down to me having bad common sense and almost no magical skill.

I figure having my Strange Waifu will give me a huge bonus in learning to deal with magic. Additionally, I took extra tribute points to live a life of comfort when I'm not hunting. I guess the final thing to note is that I took my licenses where I did because those places sound the coolest to explore.

Offworld Obligations is due to my inability to leave my former timeline alone. I can't bring myself to give up who I was, resulting in constant problems for my former home. Maybe room for an amnesia subplot, or even a homecoming plot. Giving up the life of a Traveller to settle down as a mundane man. Or take a sabbatical every couple hundred years to torture myself by reliving my own life.

My two bouts as Test Subject have resulted in "mood ring" style irises that always telegraph my emotions, which is a blessing and curse for someone with a Silver Tongue, and similarly technicolor blood that seems to correlate with whatever I've last drank.

My items are designed for intrinsic defense, incredibly high mobility, above average human capability, and adaptability. I even used Physical Restructuring to boost up my normal
looks and physical fitness, with the added bonus of my Natural Physique trait to build on and maintain this head start.

Eh, Veeky Forums's the only place I can talk about my prolicivities.
