I feel you brother. I'm contemplating buying a few of the FW DG termie conversion kits in the meanwhile, in case they phase them out when the new plastics release.

Does anyone know of a really fucked up Slaanesh fapfic where this weird innocent princess girl is completely pampered by a Slaaneshi cult for several weeks and kept completely clean and perfect, until they crucify her while masturbating. Because I remember it existing I just don't remember the name.

Never heard about the particular one but Dranon's Delight might be right up your alley.

Rate my first Space Marine. I know the lighting is total shit, but it's the best I can currently do.

Anons, did you play any games today? I drove an hour north to my local FGS and nobody showed up. Major bummer. On the plus side, my Terminator bitz showed up today with my Tzaangors so it wasn't a total loss.

Did they forget to give you bases?

why the fuck is my imperial primer so watery? I am trying to prime some shit but this is practically a wash. It won't stick to the flat surfaces at all and pools in crevices. Is this a common thing? Is there anyway I can thicken the primer?
>reposted from last thread

He's not based yet, in case I might want to work a bit more on him. Also, the cloak isn't glued yet.

You have to shake it loads. I also put a small bit of metal in mine to help mix it all together.

That should solve your problem I think.

nevermind, I'm a colossal retard and forgot to shake well

How does LGS work? I've only collected minis and read fluff or played games with friends. Do you just show up and wait for people to come play? What is the social autists guide to LGS games?

The new Stellaris expansions is pretty much "40k the expansion"

go on...

It's not bad. I would suggest a little more edge highlighting with silver along some of the edges like you did with the helmet.

Call them before showing up and ask if someone's there for a game. Or show up and wait, maybe have a talk with the owner, paint something (if possible at your store) or just wait a bit.

Thanks user. I guess I could do the shoulderpads and legs a bit more.
The picture being all that blurry doesn't really help either.

>paint at the store

Wut? Do people actually do this?

The Psionich Ascencion route makes your species "psionic". Being "psionic" means that your species can communicate with beings who live in "the shroud", gain boons or maluses from the shroud and summon shroud entities to realspace.

The Shroud can make your ruler an immortal god-like being who has extremely powerful shroud powers. At the end of the psionic ascencion you will meet 4 "main patrons" of the shroud "Whisperer of the Void", "Composer of Strands", "Eater of the Worlds" and "Insturment of Desire"

depends on your particular LGS mine does Thursday nights with two pre-arranged tables and one first come first serve

Seen it the first time I went to my LGS. It happens. Some might do workshops there.
Of course, you shouldn't just show up with all your painting stuff and start painting, gotta ask first if it's okay.

I've seen people do this, but I've never done it. My paint box isn't very movable.

Also one of the routes starts and endcame crisis which is essentially the fall of the eldar, an not!eye of terror pops up and everyone dies.

Best way to equip and use scout sentinels?

Multi-lasers or Autocannons, outflank and hit the vulnerable sides of armoured targets

Heavy flamers, outflank and toast infantry
Auto-cannons, outflank and hit rear armour.

Any tips on what i could put on the knights shoulder pads, dont have the transfers so i need alternatives

Hot Rod Flames!

...

What's tg think of scions as allies?

No

Sorry not 12 anymore

>Sorry not 12 anymore

Then why are you still playing 40k?

waste of points

I actually saw this faggot that was wearing a shirt like that but it also had... 2 giant dice on the back. I just sighed in disappointment

What does Veeky Forums think of deathwind launchers on pods? Are they worth it? I figure if they kill maybe 2 space marines they make their points back, and at least create an area of denial around them for any blob units.

Thats kinda sad thinking of it

That is a good point man

Are we talking like the matching shirts kind of deal from Drillbit Taylor?

Why?

Considering the 12" range, enemy units can simply walk away from it and ignore the pod.
You want to keep your pods cheap to allow your marines to take as many toys as possible.

I never take more than one. It's a large blast and could potentially scatter back to hit your own guys. This doesn't matter if you dropped in something durable to tank the hit like a centurion or a dreadnought. Still, I think one is worth the cost.

Fluff aside AP3 is the only thing they really have going for them. The AM version's PCS using all volley guns and "Fire one my target" can be pretty devastating but don't expect to get away with that more than once a game

How does this look for a pretty casual IW list? Would you play against it? Is the Contemptor too strong for 1250pts?

i wouldn't be surprised if they go up for preorder next week or the week after.
the warhammer community anouncement normally isn't to far from release.

Seems solid. I've never playe against a Contemptor before, but it should be a solid unit to hold the line or push on an objective as needed.

I take them if I'm using empty pods to boost drop pod assault.

yeah. its especially common at GW stores that usually have a dedicated painting table, part of the blackshirts duties include teaching people to paint.

it can be nice to just sit and paint for a couple hours talking shit with your fellow grognards.

I run an IH army with mostly dreds and predators, dropping in 3 dreds. I'm finding myself lacking in large blasts and anti mob weapons.

I know people don't usually expect drop pods to do anything besides carry dudes, hold objectives and explode, but the storm bolter has been worthless in most of my games, always miss with one shot, and wound with the other only half the time.

How are scout sentinels? They cost fuck all to run 3 with heavy flamers and thy look like they would be great to clear a few backfield units before they eat shit. You wouldn't have to kill much to make their points back and they would be annoying as fuck for your opponent to deal with.

Looks like a pretty solid list to me my friend, only thing I might be inclined to do would be to switch your squad with a single plasma to dual melta for a little extra anti-tank punch

Contemptors are amazing for dreadnoughts, but are still vehicles and can still blow up on a lucky 6 or die to bolter fire, I'd never call one "too strong".

Good idea! Synchronizes well with the Lord being in the group and being more likely to charge well the other squad stays back to support.

Chaos contemptors are also insanely expensive for what they do, which is something to keep in mind.

Good expendable distraction unit. They can do good damage if left unattended.

They're fantastic, especially with the nerf to grenades.

They do mercenary work? Would love to fight alongside them user

4 hotshot volleyguns with orders. 4 meltas. 4 plasma in one squad. Think you're overlooking the fact that they have the sickest alpha strikes

It is sick, but you've just paid 200 points for 5 dudes with t3 and a 4+. You have to really fucking haul ass to make your points back

yeah except any way I go about it I have to pay for a second standard scion unit that really isn't that much better than an AM veteran squad and is only ever going to make it's points back as a sacrificial anti tank unit(if I'm lucky, if I'm unlucky it's going to scatter into bumfuck nowhere, get charged and melt having achieved sweet fa)

Every time I read this i cringe. You people realize that cover is a thing right? They aren't suicide squads because they are too expensive. Put them in tauroxes and cover

Don't. Just run them with the ccs and enjoy the firepower

>you people
>cover is a thing
Sure user, trading one 4up for another will save you from anything when on average 20 bolter shots will cause 8 wounds. Oh shit, that's 4 casualties. Add the guy that died last turn to gets hot and your looking at a very dead overcosted unit. with the amount of low ap ignores cover currently shitting up the game their odds of survival shrink with every faction update. At least you can ally them with guard for FRFSRF and ignores cover.

So I recently got home from the Mega Battle of Rise of the Primarch. It was 9 Imperial Players vs 6 chaos players.
One of those Imperial Super Friends players was a Tau Player. My side of the 8 shape it was My glorious Emperor's Children and some Crafty Thousand Sons...vs. Tau and Tallons of The Emperor. Poor fools didn't realize what was about to happen to them.

I mean take them inside guard
And I will give it to you that tauroxes rock

So then skitarii are bad too by that logic

This is better, fluffier and doesn't use god awful walkers. Still casual too.

So turn 1 while my Allies got into a fire fight with the Tau I was dealing with the Sister's of Silence and the Emperor's Janitors. Both of whom could only stand there with their dick's in the breeze on turn one. They just stayed in place happing and slicking on their turn one. Slaanesh normally would be pleased but even the Prince of Excess knows that the battlefield is not the time for that.

Meanwhile the low lunar gravity made it easy for us to close on those fools. We were in firing range with relative ease, and more than one of them got their dicks or clits shot off. I probably should have put my auto cannons into the mute bimbos but I was thinking of the free rending and put those shots into the Land raider that more mop and bucket guys were cruising around in...if it actually moved.

Looks like you don't play them

20 bolter shots would mean a full, 10 man marine squad has gotten within 12" without any hassle. For the squad with Hotshot volley guns, those marines would have been blasted apart far sooner. Not only that, but that's a 140 point squad (that probably has some special weapons of their own), and you're complaining about a 200 point one? Yeah, an expensive squad is vulnerable to another expensive squad killing it if they suddenly appear at close range without warning.

Oh my...Look who decided it might be a good idea to move? And look at the one, lonely, sad, pathetic sister of silence all alone on her rampart. Where's the rest of her sister hood? Oh did they all get mulched?

Anyway...my bikers ended up eating a Custodes charge...and killed a lot of them before they could even swing. They are tough fuckers...gotta give them that. Either way...the other group of Janitors fails their charge probably tripping in a pool of their own jizz from turn one when they stood around jacking off.

Ok samefag I'll take the bait

Skiitari plus mechanicum has lots of grav
Vanguard are significantly cheaper than scions
They actually have good formations
Their artifacts don't suck dick
Their HQ isnt a 5+ t3 body
And best of all, they have some range so you don't have to deepstrike them and deal with all that baggage

no, Bunnies!

Alright, returning to the game after a long absence and decided to start a Skittles army. Got some advice from the 30k thread(Sorry again guys, thank you for the advice though) and toned down the toys on my alpha's and dropped the sniper rifles entirely.

Hows it look?

This pleases me, SHOW ME MORE!

>Iron Warriors Grand Company
>Legion Armoury

Check out this scrub who hasn't read the supplement

Oh and if you were wondering where the extra terminators and Bikes came from...er...The Webway portal behind us....I totally swear that's it....
As you can see...Things are going well for the forces of Slaanesh...We have cleared up this infestation of sisters of silence and destroyed many of the Emperor's golden cleaners All that's left is to...Hey why is the sky getting so dark over the bikes...no wait why is it suddenly so bright...What do you mean Karamazov has targeted the One surviving Mop-man with an orbital bombardment...oh fuck...
And there goes my Lord's escort Fucking Haxdor Jack-em-off-sov And his 4+ Feel no pain. Damn.

>Fighting in an open field.

You know, I'm actually surprised I don't see 3 wraithknights and like 6 riptides.

>taking rangers
>giving alpha power sword
>taking a full unit of dragoons
>taking the only onagers you have as a squad, with neutron laser and no additional heavy stubber
Oh shit what are you doing

Played a match against my friend today with my Ynnari+Haem Covens. He was playing IG+AdMech. I fucking love the Grotesquerie, ripping Guardsmen squads up left and right. My Trueborn did some work, but I positioned badly and lost a bunch of potential for them. The Archon absolutely botched it. Rolled a 1 on my first save with his Shadow Field and he was promptly sucker-punched with fire and went down the turn he deepstriked onto the table. The succubus rolling with the Incubi managed to rip open a squad every turn before they could even strike back, though. We had fun and it was a blood bath, went to turn 7 and I won 20-15 because I got really good objective cards.

Scions don't have artifacts. Btw as allies, they are good. Since they provide a lot of firepower

We were told to bring 1,000 points each...there were 9 Imperial players and 6 chaos players... Which is why the chaos players got told we could bust out up to another 1,000 points of reinforcements on turn 2. Sadly I didn't bring another more than a few more bikers a spare Spawn and...the other 2 terminators. Who everyone else said should just join the rest of the squad right away.

But the tau player didn't bust out riptides to face us at 1,000 points for his army...with us outnumbered.

If scions could give themselves orders on a unit by unit basis they could become good. But you still need a fucking officer for that which is annoying.

What's wrong with rangers?

Ya, the power sword is probably dumb but he's my warlord so I figured I could splurge on just one cool thing for him.

The idea of robot jousters makes me smile, I could probably cut down the squad though to make points for something else.

Should I not put the onagers in the same squad? Thought the increased cover save would be really useful.

I played a Shadow War game and it was a lot of fun. I hired an Ogryn and he did some work. It made me excited to use some, so I'm getting my Bullgryn and Nork ready for combat next game.

I feel your pain. I drive a lot only to end up with no games. It is disheartening especially when it's the only time you have free dur

Would be broken*

Phone derped and somehow hit send and checked the box while I was typing. Didn't even have to do any captcha. I meant to say, free during the week.

Right I was thinking of the guard codex artifacts

Yeah as allies and in a castellans they rock

Rangers are much worse than Vanguard

If your Vanguard Alpha gets into combat he'll likely be dead regardless of what weapon you put on him so a ranged weapon is a better choice
The dragoons are advisably in units of 3
Onagers in the same squad have the shoot at the same target. The invuln boost is negligable. ALWAYS put eradication beamers on them, or 1 beamer and 1 icarus array if you expect flyers. Never forget the extra stubber as it's an extra wound before your main weapon gets destroyed.
I would advise getting Peltasts or perhaps Infiltrators.

>the only time you have free dur

You're scared of scions with orders on them? They would be average at best.

You dirty fucking heretic, TAKE THAT BACK

I really don't get how it happened. I was typing on my phone and it froze briefly, but I kept typing and then it hit the check box and post without asking for captcha.

Alright last little bit...
So I turned around reveling in my glorious victory for Slaanesh to find out our slave Tyranids were tabled...and the Khorne Demonkin were struggling against the remaining guard but they had managed to get ride of the Grey Knights. Yeah... Still the Let's call it Left flank was struggling. The Right flank where I was the Tau were driven onto the center battle field we were strong and the Thousand Sons were moving into the central battlefield...

Meanwhile I am throwing everything I have into killing this Fucking Janitor before Karimozov call tell them to fire for effect....DIE ALREADY! Someone Kill that Jackass on the Pope Chair! Wait the Center Column is folding...oh shit... I need to haul ass over there fast...If only I was a speed based army on the moon where my infantry count as Jump Infantry.....

Anyway yes...that's a bunch of Cattachan's who happened to deep strike mishap there. They weren't there long before the Spawn went godzilla on them.

Finally we wipe our whole flank clean labeling one player and the other is on the ropes. I'm down 4 bikers and a Spawn. But my lord is still at full wounds and so is my Demon Prince...we are ready to hit that flank and ...why is everyone packing up. Damn it they declared it an Imperial Victory at the start of turn 4....

Final Score 50VP Imperials 46 Chaos...
Would have been 41 VP Imperial 46 Chaos if Magnus's big red ass hadn't been worth 10 VP all on it's own.

Running scions alone is not what gw intended

The crucifying part sounds familiar though not the rest. I remember reading it on 1d4chan. Slaanesh's Offering maybe?

It wouldn't be broken because normal squads wouldn't get all the good orders. They would get shit like shoot then run, or split fire or precision shot.
