This is Sibylla, your guide to the Mayanet. I see that you're having some difficulties accessing good results for your search. It's fine! I can also see this is one of your first times on the network. Things are very different on Mayanet than on limited intraplanetary networks: like you may have had on Dawn, perhaps! Let's see if I can't help get you what you're looking for. Just state the nature of you request, and I'll....
...Oh
....Oh dear
You want...oh...in a video format?
Can humans even do that safely?
...Please excuse me. I am not currently capable of directing you to this content. I see that I was mistaken. Visitors from the Nomad Nations may wish to speak with their...ambassador if they need content like this.
I, Sibylla, need a few moments to...think about this...
Christian Wood
God damnit you sparking piece of transparant ass, you find me video of a woman and a shrike tardigigrade goin' at it before I finish this coca-cola!
Evan Roberts
Hey, Sibylla, how the heck am I supposed to pronounce Yuan Yuan when I order them on the phone EXTRA THICK?
Also, what color are MORAT NIPPLES?
Joshua Williams
Red ya dingus!

New search. Do Helots have internal fertilization?
Do Helots have cloaca or Dolphin-like genitals?
Can their tails fit as a butt plug if not?
ORDER CORN!
Liam Mitchell
>New search. Do Helots have internal fertilization? I can answer this one. No.
David Phillips
Which faction can make the most flexible and "unfair" army? I am a new player and the number of factions and sub factions seems hard to judge.
Jonathan Mitchell
Define 'unfair'.
Julian Howard
Army that has an build in adventage that lets it ignore and important core rule or set of core rules. Not some, fluff says X so we give your guys berzerker rules and make them bad, but something like eldar have. I don't have much expiriance with table top gaming and I wouldn't want to invest in to faction which is hard to play or stright up bad, or which maybe good on paper, but which everyone can hard counter by buying some hard counter models.
Juan Russell
Sounds like you want to play ariadna
Aiden Scott
Is six bikes in a JSA list a bad idea?
Camden Johnson
It's a one trick pony that would play out just about how you'd expect it to. Fragile. Fast. Frantic.
Carson Wright
Infinity straight up does not work that way. It may sound weird to you, but this game is actually balanced.
Ariadna Camo Spam is hard to deal with if you're unprepared, but take a sensor unit and MSV2 with a good weapon and it folds. HI Pain Train seems unkillable until it gets in your Hacker/Repeater range and they are all Carbonated. TAG Rambo is giving you a hard time? Glue it or kill it's order supply and suddenly it's just a big paperweight. Or take it over with your own hacker and kill the opposing army.
Stats and unit skills will not win you in this game, but if you want to rely on them, sounds like ALEPH/Steel Phalanx may be your speed. They are elite armies with very hard to kill units and some specific, kind of "unfair" special abilities (Post-Humans in vanilla ALEPH, Fireteam: Enomotarchos in Steel Phalanx).
You will still get your shit kicked in until you learn how to use tactics unless you're going against people as new as you, as those armies are known noob-stompers.
Jose Wright
I though about this too at first, didn't knew which faction to pick. But then some vets pointed out to me that they would just be runing smoke my troops wouldn't be able to ignore, and they would just spam troops that do ignore smoke and blast me from far range. I think I may still buy some Ariadnan models as I like them. But for an army I would like something good. Just not the penis faction which ever that is, there is one dude that plays them here and everyone is making fun of him for playing those.
I was thinking about pan'o of some sort. I have a rule that blue stuff is always OP in every game. Eldar in w40k, efls in WFB, sigmarines in AoS, blue in MtG etc Just don't know which faction would be best. Military Orders has some awesome models, and they have Teutonic Knights which is a double plus in their favor.
Nathaniel Baker
Hard to nail it down. Even a sectorial can have vastly different playstyles depending on what core you give.
Bakunin, for example, can have the "meh" core link of Moderators with some Moiras and such supplementing, or the best HI link in the game with Riot Grrrls. Of course, if you field the latter you can possibly be "hard countered" by other factions with sources of white noise (not many, granted) or good Close Quarters specialists. There's no "auto-win" army, but plenty of ways to auto-lose.
Infinity as a wargame has pretty decent interfactional balance, even Shasvasti which has the reputation for being the most mediocre can get plenty of success (especially given they have some "diamond in the rough" individual unit profiles like Speculo Killers and the Sphinx). Caledonia, which was generally also considered kind of Mediocre, also had a player win a large event some weeks ago.
Although, I guess if I had to give answers in the spirit of your question, Steel Phalanx and Tohaa tend to be called a "newb stomper armies" for their abundance of high stats, ODD, Dogged/NWI, or Pseudo Two Wounds and Symbiomates; with touches of higher than usual numbers of Fireteams for both with Enotomarchos and Triad.
Aiden Richardson
So which army would you propose. One has to be the best at 200pts, as this is what everyone plays here.
Justin Sanchez
...penis faction? Also Teutons are shit, outclassed by every other HI in PanO.
Charles Young
>But then some vets pointed out to me that they would just be runing smoke my troops wouldn't be able to ignore, and they would just spam troops that do ignore smoke and blast me from far range. Armies that get both Smoke and MSV2 usually can't afford to field more than 1, sometimes 2 MSV2 units. Kill it and the tactic folds. Also most of the time the game is about collecting objectives using Specialists, not killing the other guys.
>But for an army I would like something good. All armies are good. Well, maybe besides Shasvastii.
A swing and a miss. PanO is very much like Tau, including Military Orders. They can shoot well and that's it. How is that bad you ask? Well, for one thing they don't have Smoke, they don't have cheap disposable units ("warbands") designed to punch above their point level, most of their stuff is very specialized and predictable, while not being cheap (but usually not super expensive either). Also they have faction-wide low WIP, making it harder for them to score Objectives. MO are a bit off in that they rely on HI units (rising point cost) and they usually have shorter ranged weapons than the rest of PanO. But they can work well with a Magister Knight link. Teutons... I'm sorry to disappoint you, but Teutons are straight up shite. For a disposable unit they are a bit costly and they are too fragile to be anything else. And they can't form Link Teams, which is the main point of playing a sectorial. That said, I play PanO myself and I often use Knight models in vanilla armies (usually either Father-Knight, Sepulchre or Joan, sometimes Black Friar and Konstantinos is an auto-include for me). Best player here plays NCA.
Ryder Phillips
I guess I can buy a few of them and some of the ariadna models just to have them painted.
But it is possible to build a powerful pan'o army, right?
Henry Green
Literally every army has powerful options in it, user. Every army in Infinity is more or less equally viable (with the exception of, arguably, the Shasvassti sectorial and the Scottish sectorial.)
William Bell
>But it is possible to build a powerful pan'o army, right? Sure! You just need to know how to play it too. Do you want something quick 200pts that uses the starter pack (assuming you don't get it Icestorm, so without FK)? Here's one that uses the starter box, Mulebots box and Support Pack. 10 Orders, 3 specialists (which is a bit low, but for a start it'll work), one BS 14 HMG and Sniper Nisse, who is golden (and a priority target; don't be surprised if he gets killed first). Don't sweat too much about WYSIWYG, unless your locals are chodes.
Christian Carter
Of course, because this game is well balanced. As another user has said, Shasvastii is probably the worst sectorial but the top player in USA plays them. There isnt an auto win army, nor auto win lists. You need to play better to win, and some luck too cause dice.
MO would benefit greatly from a Haris option. Really wish the Santiagos got an Engineer profile, they are space marines after all. They still beat the shit out of anything that isnt CC oriented.
Carter Lewis
I was thinking about something like this 1 Fusalier with HMG, 1 Bipandra, 3 combi Fusaliers. 1 Aquila Guard with a HMG. 1 Locust with Killer hacking Device. 1 Pathfinder dronbot. 1 Mulebot minesweeper. 1 Warcore with an Air Cam.
Ryder Sullivan
I would rather want something to use for events and normal games. Boxs aren't a problem, as am going to buying recasts and second hands anyway. But if boxs are with required Limited Option models, I can go for those two. I know that people here got realy hands on when buying out big army boxs.
Brandon Garcia
Tootin' is okay every once in a while. At the end of the day homeboy is a 34 pt BS14 spitfire HI. But ya, that's a super niche role to fill.
They're kind of like orcs and bolts. They won't lose you the game or anything but there's options with less fat on them.
Daniel Smith
That sounds like NCA, with a Fusilier Link. Locust doesn't have a KHD, were you thinking Hexas? Locust has AHD which costs 0.5SWC and targets different things. Both are good, but work differently (Hexas can get invisible while Locust starts up mid-field).
My advice would be to replace Locust with Hexa KHD, replace HMG Fusi with Sniper Fusi (so they can make a good defensive link), throw Warcor away and put in Machinist, but your list can work too. Keep in mind that Aquila is not invincible, as was proven to me when I fielded him last time and got shot in the back by a Naga.
Easton Williams
>locust killer hacker
Ah user, if only this were true.
Nathan Gonzalez
I assume he means the Steel Phallus.
Elijah Cruz
P-please speak with your local ambassador! (Can they really access these things on Arachne? What sort of guide do they have there!?)
Mayanet only supplies information on licensed privateer corps, the MERCS system. Khanate and Sultanate clients are advised to reroute through Bourak's Intranet...would you like a suitable proxy connection?
Please tune into this week's 'Myrmidon Wars', I believe the heroic Phoenix teaches our young protagonist how to wrestle something called a 'Zerat'!
Xenobiology regarding Varuna's natives is currently proprietary knowledge split among three corporations. PanOceanian citizens may access this information for a reasonable fee. Would you like me to charge this?
Your corn* is on its way, citizen.
*(dextrose, soy food byproduct, Red #5, and corn starch flavoring)
Nicholas Perry
Ok, so I understand that the KHD is the good option and the AHD is the meh one. I will replace the locutus with the hexas. If the army is ok, I will go and order the models. Unless there is something much better to be build.
So, what does Remote Operation Level 1 on the techbees actually do? It's on neither rules wiki and I don't have any of hte books.
Levi Carter
Haqqislam. Can be built straightforward or tricky, has access to some techy toys, and is cheap so low-points format is not a problem.
Nicholas Williams
And you get to make terrorist jokes.
Juan Stewart
Gives your machinist a bonus, +1 I believe
Jaxon Sullivan
"RELIGION OF PEACE" >Fiday
Hunter Butler
Wise Veeky Forums, what are some good infinity podcasts? I've tried Mayacast and found it okay. Are there other good ones?
Aiden Hill
I don't get this. why would someone playing haqqislam would be made fun with terrorist jokes? If anyone the terrorist jokes should be directed at the faction that has the most jews in it. The unlawful state of israel is the real terrorists.
Josiah James
It's +1 WIP on engineering roles. She, the warcor and Joan are all gonna be friends, and say weird passive aggressive shit to each other.
Landon Baker
Ugh, here we go.
William Cruz
Total reaktion comes to mind, also Cho's and PoR's podcasts are alright
Cooper Clark
Well the pole-posting wasn't working so they just changed tactics to pol-posting
Bentley Ramirez
I know this is bait, but the largest Jewish enclaves outside of earth are actually located on Bourak if I remember the fluff right.
Brandon Rivera
Remember, USAriadna funds Dogface and Wulver terrorist groups.
Robert Cox
If Teuts had Dogged and maybe special Haris with a FK or something, that would be great. Orcs get to shine in NCA because of that Haris option.
+1WIP on Engineering and Crabbot button pushing rolls.
>None of the colors match the factions
I didn't think my autism was this bad.
Cooper Cruz
Also, their President is a puppet of the Kazakh state.
Gavin Collins
>>>None of the colors match the factions
I didn't think my autism was this bad.
It bothers me too, but I didn't make it.
Cameron Allen
As the person who made the poll, I think Haqqislam sneaked up as everyone's second faction. That was probably helped with Red Veil. Although I do think overall Veeky Forums browsers who fill out the strawpolls I post are a lot of Haqqislam players for some reason or another, because I'm bearing in mind the favorite releases the last two years were both Haqqislamite units (Maghariba Guard and Azrail HMG).
They make a good morale booster. In game it gives +1 WIP to Engineers and the Tech-bee herself, which is useful for repairs, discover rolls, button pushing.
The rules was put into a .pdf in the downloads page, although I forgot which and am not bothered enough to look up.
Yet another instances of UNSOLICITED OPINIONS ON ISRAEL??? bait.
It's not my fault, it's just how the default was set in strawpoll. I mean when I created it I just listed the options I remembered off the top of my head alphabetically. I wish I could change it, but oh well.
Use Hasslefree's Archbaron Drumpf model as an HVT when playing USAriadna.
Robert Reyes
>Ok, so I understand that the KHD is the good option and the AHD is the meh one. AHD can do more, as KHD is explicitly only useful against enemy hackers while AHD can target enemy Remotes, TAGs and HI as well, BUT both types make your guy a Specialist (Hacker) and KHD is cheaper. Don't worry if you find this bit confusing, Hacking is "Advanced Rules" for a reason.
Jordan Wilson
What's the best Fireteam: Core for Qapu Khalqi? They all look so good; but I just want something I can bring to form a solid, well, core for my list, decent mix of hard-hitting and specialist models in it. I was thinking Druze or Kaplan, but Janissaries and Sekban look very good too, and I'm just not sure what's best.
Logan Wright
Nobody knows.
My personal favorite is Djanbazans+Hafza for reasons that still allude me.
Gavin Ward
low point cost and smoke shoting?
Alexander Bailey
Point cost really isn't that low, but yes to the smoke shooting because I'd mainly play QK for Yuan Yuan. I think the factor I mostly like is the Doctor with Regeneration.
Jace Barnes
The humble stray to my haqqislam army.
Ethan Perez
Doesn't aren't pre painted models right? Because they look different on the box.
Elijah Ward
Azrail + 4 hafzas :^)
Jeremiah King
No, I painted them myself.
Bentley Torres
I think miniature painting as a hobby might go out of business if they come pre-painted to that standard or higher. X-wing, Wings of Glory, some D&Ds mini get close to very passable, but never like that.
Daniel Collins
I really like the govad but I'm not a huge fan of the color choice on the janissary. On the govad the subtle green grey and tan work really well but the multiple greens of haqq HI always looked off. Great work with the paint in general, I'm starting haqq myself and that govad really sold me on the normal haqq scheme.
Easton Bennett
I don't play Haqq but that seemed wrong, now I know thats BS, well done.
Also why are Janissaries costed lower than Mobile Brigada while having better WIP? They have the same stats across the board except for WIP, and Religious is is approximately the same as Courage, yet an HMG Jan is 2 points cheaper than an HMG MB. What gives?
Nathan Lopez
Thanks, My autism makes it so I usually copy the canon paint jobs, maybe with slight deviations. Looking forward to working on the leather of her jacket. I've been finding haqq in general to be stress free to paint, colours that I like working with.
I also need to finish this mobile brigada too
Anthony Hall
The Army that you are looking for is "Steel Phalanx" and they're getting a 300pts box soon.
They all have ODD, wich to your enemies means -6 to all D20s just to hit.
So, that's it, spend 100 bucks on a box and you'll have a ready for tournament army that can give you victory.
Nicholas Parker
>They all have ODD, wich to your enemies means -6 to all D20s just to hit.
Until the enemy's cheap flamethrower units roll up and bad touch your myrmidons right in the pederasty.
Cooper Gutierrez
It actually was a thing you could do pre-human sphere. Azrails were linkable and 4 hafzas could join a core link. QK got nerfed hard in that book.
Jack Long
ODD only affects BS attacks, which admittedly is a vast majority of face to face rolls.
In regards to that box, Ajax and the Agema don't have ODD as well, but that's 8/10 with it including some major ranged hitters.
Still pretty beatable, but it's one of those noob smasher armies, especially since there is only one specialist in there. Just don't forget to bring your templates and visors.
Jeremiah Hall
How much is worth a display quality painted Joan d'Arc? I have mine from the giraldez book but I don't play Panoceania and I don't specially like the model, so I'll just paint it to a high standard and sell it.
Dylan Morgan
Probably worth more (in less effort) to just sell it New in Box. I've seen that go for about $100 on eBay.
Oliver Hall
Really? Then how does $180-200 sound for a studio level paintjob?
Levi Peterson
Lots of ideas came to my head: >CC Turns out it was the same >A pistol or CCW Janissaries have a CCW compared to MB's Knife >The guns they carry
take the same guns and the Janissary really is just 2 points cheaper, otherwise the AP rifle+LSG Janissary is appropriately 2 points more expensive than the equivalent combi-rifle or 3 points less expensive than the MULTI+LFT.
So my guess is, CB really does just consider Religious Troop that much cheaper than Courage (which for all respects except in retreat, Courage is better), or they made options cheaper to balance out the AP Rifles they have to take.
Asher Robinson
Doesn't sound unfair if you can legitimately paint like Angel, but also keep in mind that I looked up some prices right now and one of the listings for her NIB is for $40. So my guess would be a price of $120 or somewhat higher painted could probably get sold. But I'm no salesman or connoisseur so I wouldn't have any authority in the matter.
Brayden Lee
One more thing to keep in mind: Joan is confirmed for getting a new non-exclusive model soon-ish, so you have a window of oppurtunity before the demand for a good looking Joan of Arc model will likely go down as the supply of such comes out
Evan Jones
Alright I think I'll be more conservative with the price and try to get rid of her soon, thanks.
Aiden Powell
There's been a new edition, old man. Time to get out from under that mountain.
Tyler Allen
Religious actually reduces their points because they can't voluntarily fail guts.
Luke Bell
No!
And no TAGs for my sectorial, either, even though an assassin TAG would be the sickest shit. PanO did it first, and we can't be seen copying them!
Hudson Young
Meant to respond to
Cameron Evans
You know your sectorial can bring scarface, right.
Charles Ward
Did people forget how to fight Cutters? They've been performing a lot better for most folks I know as of late. Crabbot is a huge help too, making them poopy specialists. And further differentiating them from Swiss Guard.
Zachary Hernandez
Yeah but fuck that faggot. Sister's cute though.
Nathan Reed
Go home, Tracer, you're drunk
Henry Moore
Probably. Keep stomping the newbs until they learn their lesson.
Brody Richardson
>or they made options cheaper to balance out the AP Rifles they have to take
Hmm, I didn't think of it that way and I didnt know Religious actually gave a points reduction. It was weird seeing them side by side like that.
Justin Foster
Are you one of the ebay "pro painters" that look like shit? If so, probably just sell it new.
Jace Scott
Didn't want to start a new thread for this, so what do you guys use as glue for assembling your miniatures?
I'm just starting in Infinity never having messed with metal minis before.
Brayden Ward
Super glue. Most hobby shops will carry a few suitable types. I'm partial to the Army Painter glue myself.
Kevin Thompson
I like this stuff. I buy it from hobbytown.
If I'm feeling fancy sometimes I'll use some poseable clamps and a strong epoxy like JB Weld. The tiny fins and stuff still break though.
Robert Morales
I'm rather fond of pic related, it's never let me down. Picked up at a local hobby shop. But any superglue will do the trick, really, as long as your joint is clean and a good fit.
Dominic Ramirez
Ok. Is it hard to get them to look like that? I never painted any stuff before, and I wouldn't want to have an army with models that look shit.
Anyway, I was told to stay away from pan ocenia too, as they don't seem to be winning any tournaments here. So my options are yu jing more or less. Don't like how the army colors look like, but if they do not come pre painted it is less of a problem. The problem I do have with them is that models I was told to get look realy bad and the models that look good, or at least those that I do find nice to look at, are never used. Is there a way to play yu jing without runing those horrible kung chis and celestial guards? I like how zujongs look like and I like the zanshis a lot better then, the ugly celestial guard. But both are never used .
Jacob Davis
It could be considered difficult to get them to look like that, I've been painting for 5 years, first warhammer and now infinity. Infinity is harder to paint than warhammer because they are smaller in scale and have more detail. There are lots of simple techniques that you can use to make your models look solid without getting too detailed, especially from a tabletop perspective.
In regards to not liking some of the models, in friendly games I'm sure people would be happy to allow you to proxy.
Gabriel Howard
>Is it hard to get them to look like that? It takes a lot of practice.
Parker Green
Yes, you can play Yu Jing without Kuang Shi. Zhanshi are perfectly adequate cheerleaders (although Keisotsu are a tad more point efficient do you like their look with Hakama pants? If not you can likely use Zhanshi as Keisotsu without many batting an eye). Zuyong make a top contender for the best Lt option in Yu Jing (with the HMG and automedikit it's got durability and power to stay and use its free order) while the regular Zuyong can be a decent midfield specialist.
I hope you like the look of remotes (the robots) as they're almost essential to Yu Jing for sources of supporting firepower, orders, and board control.
You might like Japanese Units of Yu Jing too, the Haramaki, Raiden, and Domaru are particularly cool heavy armor guys while Ninjas cover the skirmishing and button pushing.
To the other points: Pan Oceania is a solid faction. Has some of the best units in the game that many other factions wish they had (Nisse Snipers, Bagh Mari, Cutters, Guarda De Assaulto, Auxilia (and their damned flamer bots)). They just suffer a small amount from predictable tricks and lower WIP failing to secure an objective on occasion. You're not hurting yourself by fielding them.
>Is it hard to get them to look like that? For a beginner who hasn't been told a million times the words "thin your paints," "remove the mold line," and "use a wet palette," hasn't practiced and looked through a bunch of tutorials, and doesn't have all the tools and paint colors they didn't even know they needed then yes.
Noah Gutierrez
I just now noticed that Azra'il aren't linkable anymore. Is there any point to bring them in QK anymore?
Ayden Howard
I believe religious is free and courage may or may not cost a point.
The primary difference on the chassis is Cube. That makes a big difference if you want to Ackbar Doctor or D+.
Aiden White
Random Colombian lurker here, are Colombians somehow relevant here?
Hudson Gonzalez
Corvus Belli is a Chillean company. They are known to take company siestas often which is why Kazaks will never have their own sectoral.
Blake Perez
Ok, and I assume there are no pre painted versions or plans for such models in the future? Sucks to be honest, no one is going to want to spend 200$ on models that will end up looking bad, because they have no skill or maybe are plain bad at painting.
People are against proxy use here. You either need the proper model or you need to sculpt one from scratch, it is probably a left over from how WFB and w40k were played. I know people do not accept proxies in warmachine either.
Let me guess the dude in the starter set does not have a hmg? I would have to buy a separate one along side the starter right?
As pano goes, it is not that am saying they are bad or that they make bad list. It is just that no one won any events with them around here, And if expirianced players cant win with panoceania in our meta, then me I won't be wining either. And I do not have to money to experiment with stuff, as it turned out that local recasters only make terrain for infinity and no models.
Ayden Reed
Nah, saying CB is from random Spanish-language country is this thread's equivalent of that "Filipino basked-weaving (etc.) board" meme.
Ryan Thomas
>Sucks to be honest, no one is going to want to spend 200$ on models that will end up looking bad, because they have no skill or maybe are plain bad at painting. If only the metal figurines could be stripped and repainted as needed.
