Another Your Dudes thread

Time for another thread to show off your dudes - models, lore, rules, whatever you've come up with!

I'll start - I'm working on a Blood Angels successor founded from the legion's boarding assault specialists. They're blue to represent how deoxygenated blood looks through the skin - because there's no oxygen in the void and all.

I also want to give them a higher amount than average of Mk IV armour because I like it, and maybe let them use Anvillus-pattern backpacks because of it's apparent void suitability.

Here are my dudes for Age of Sigmar

Feel free to tell me what you think

I liked it, it's fun to see some new stuff in these threads that aren't 40k

My Skitarii and color scheme, big armor is dark bronze, small Skitarii are steel. The additional Cult Mechanicus forces (mostly kastelans because robots fuck yeah) are also from the same world, Agri-world Emeritus. The forges dominate the smaller continent of the two, while the larger continent is an agricultural/paradise world with a lot of Eldar ruins, and a nice 2-year long cycle of seasons. They've awoken after 6000 years of stasis, brought back into active duty due to the impeccable timing of their ancient clockwork timers.

Cool, I like them. Got any more models to show us?

The Zaigonite 18th Warborn is a long lived Imperial Regiment who's home world was destroyed by Orks after becoming a refuge planet for the entire system and the other regiments from Zaigon were wiped out in the Cinder Atroicity, where a long forgotten cache of Virus bombs were detonated by a Renegades.

They battle against the malicious Astra Militarium and the Enemies of the Imperium, in desperate hope that one day they will be awarded for their service with a new homeworld.

This is my dominus, he was fun to do up. Currently working on Belisarius, I'll throw up some pics of the Kastelans

This is one of the Kastelans, I printed out and made some custom transfers based on the faces of the computer doods from Fallout New Vegas. Fun to work on.

Pretty fuckin brütal. Is that their color scheme? How's it look on the model?

I haven't got a Color scheme yet. Can't find anywhere that makes it look good.

The image is how I imagine their Colonel looking. Colonel Eve Scipio, a former hive ganger who rose her way up the ranks during her time as a Heavy Weapons Specialist. She gained her position as a Sergeant during the defense of a Cathredral on Zeran Primias from a Chaos Cult. In the battle her right arm was blown off by a Metla Gun. Since the wound was quaterized instantly, she singlehandedly manned a Heavy Bolter whilst calling out targets for her men.
The next day when a squadron of Space Marines arrived to recover the relics within the Cathedral, they were surpised to find any guard left. Then Sergeant Scipio was reported to have said "I would have cleaned up the place if I knew we were getting visitors".
She now sports and expertly made metal arm, giving her the nickname "The Iron Lady"

They have a costum in their regiment. Instead of special regimental medals they have regimental tattoos.
For example if a Heavy Weapon Specialist were to obtain a Veterancy in a particularly bloody field, they would tattoo the Space Marine Deveastor symbol onto their shoulder, as if to say they were the equivalent of a Space Marine.

Due to the either malicious or incompetent way that Command treats the Regiment, sending them on suicidal missions or into warzones they are not equipped for. The Regimental officials have began to simply steal supplies they deem they need from other regiments, breaking in and altering adminastrium records and orders to put supplies in a position that they can be stolen outright for the regiment. On one occasion they even altered Imperial Orders, sending a rival regiment into a meat grinder of a warzone instead of themselves.

The brethren of Cth are a small (less then 300 members) warband.

They should not be underestimated however as they are to a man powerful Sorcerers,Diabolists and warpsmiths.

They have a single (Heavily modified) Hecate class heavy cruiser called THE IMAGINOS(all caps is necessary).
With cargo and hanger bays full of various daemon engines and possessed vehicles and aircraft.(to compensate for their small numbers)

I made a blood angels offshoot based off irish celts

(1)
Founded:37th millennium
Progenitor:Blood angels
Their geneseed is mostly undamaged, though the kinks in the blood angel geneseed is only further bolstered by the natural fierceness of the spearhounds.
They will not harm innocent civillians, they will stick their necks out for noncombatants, even if they may or may not be opposed to the empire.
Their skin dyes blue patches over itself over time.with age these patches grow.
this chapter does not praise the emperor as a god so much as a mid ranked protector spirit. as such the inquisition is quite suspicious of them. though this chapter fights the forces of chaos with extreme fervor and zeal. given this the inquisition and the spearhounds leave eachother alone in an uneasy peace.
this chapter's founder was an old battlebrother of the bloodangels named Cuhalain who was curious about the natives of a newly reclaimed feral world.
Cuhalain, after finding the chapter lead it in a number of crusades against the forces of chaos. why, in one such campaign he had slayed a daemon prince.
.

their home planet of Solarad three is a temperate planet with vast forests and fields. however most of the plant life is poisonous, and there are mighty beasts with a taste for human blood.
The chaptermaster, Fyonn Dagbar is the high king of the planet. unlike many chpaters, the spearhounds hold both a sexdrive and a sense of romantic attraction, and are allowed by the chapter to marry and reproduce. however their first duty is to the empire, and they know and accept this readly
The spearhounds are a unique specimen among marine chapters. they tend to disobey the codex as best they can without falling into hot water. they will for instance, recruit more than onethousand marine hopefuls, only to weed them out through their right of passage, in which marines must fight their first battle(usually against the feral orcs that crop up occasionally on their planet) in the nude.
the spearhounds prefer melee combat, they are large enough to use eviserators singlehandedly, and will often use them in place of chainswords in conjunction with stormshields. they also have a love for powerswords and axes. due to their way of selecting 'true' space marines, they have no scouts.
The spearhounds have a heavy reverence for sanguinious, seeing him as the chief of their warspirits, and will defend his honor at every opprotunity.
due to the harshness of their deceptively beautiful environment, and their recruitment methods, thischapter has only around 750-800 active marines
the spearhounds have no particular loathing of orks or other xenos, believing life comes in cycles and that their battlebrothers may someday wind up as such creatures, however with their trackrecord with orks. they have developed efficient measures to deal with them quite easily.

Here are my dudes. They're called Emperor's Vigil. I came up with them and painted them way back before I knew anything of shading and highlighting, so they're shit compared to my more recent models. This dude turned out the best of the lot. They're a crusading chapter built up to chase down an Ork Waaagh that's been rampaging through sectors near the edge of the galaxy out past the Eye of Terror. Depending on whether or not the setting is tabletop 40k or Deathwatch, they're either Imperial Fists successors or Storm Wardens successors respectively. They specialize in armored assault and siege warfare and keep more techmarines than usual to help maintain their equipment so far away from regular resupply.

The purple used for the main armor was a mix of 2/3 liche purple and 1/3 burnished gold with a layer of 'ardcoat over it to make it stand out next to the gold trim and dark purple cloth.

posted these guys a few times before. Might as well again.

The Paladins of Khorne
Model wise will be a biker heavy army but modelled on fantasy chaos knight horses.

A Chaos warband the follows the martial honour and valour focused aspect of Khorne.
They consider that while Khorne is happy with any blood he prefers the blood and skulls of warriors, the greater the skill of the slain the more Khorne is pleased. Consequently rather than launching raids as other warbands typically do they'll seek out existing battles dropping in to fight with the "underdog" against the stronger side (who's blood is more valuable), like some sort of bizzaro Legion of the Damned.

They think of themselves and present themselves as great and honourable warriors, this image being one of the main ways they recruit new marines. Drawing in those dissatisfied with Imperial rule but still wish to be heroes.

Only once an Initiate is fully inducted do they learn the truth of why they fight the way they do.
They don't spare the unarmed out of any sense of mercy, its contempt and the hope they'll one day become a warrior worthy of killing that stays a Paladins blade.
They side with the loser in a war not to defend the weak and the innocent but too prolong the war, turning a quick slaughter in to long a gruelling meat grinder, ensuring that in the end many more lives are lost in battle.

They also have a strong hatred for the World Eaters who they consider to be heretics doing it wrong and will always fight against them in any conflict they intervene in.

also those guys are in the full inductees scheme.

New iniates have to earn their colours, until then their armour is unpaintes and bare bearing only the warbands symbol. When the army is done I'll have a few new iniates mixed into each unit.

That's a pretty overly busy colour scheme, my man. My advice would be to simplify it - drop the blue and yellow on the arms and backpack, make the chest aquila all-blue; and if you want to keep the yellow crotch, I'd expand it to a full yellow torso. (Pauldrons are fine, though.)
I think that'd get across the same general look while not being overly cluttered.

I dig it. "Khornates who seek powerful foes" is a bit cliche, but it works, and I especially like the idea of them sparing weak enemies out of contempt. Good stuff.

13th Infantry Regiment, hailing from Cypra Mundi. I don't have minis, tho.

They look pretty much like Cadians. Same—looking armor (but more effective), same uniform pattern. But they tend to wear dark/brownish greys in everything. And love black leather combat boots.

Their proficiency with the Lasgun is superb (+1 to hit in ranged), but they like to get in melee, too. They are pretty good at brawls (+1 to hit in melee), and so, everyone gets a power knife (S User and AP4), coupled with a stubber pistol.

Their favoured tactic is defensive trench warfare, but they are pretty good all—around.
(They may dig a trench if they don't move in a turn. +5 cover save. +4 if entrenched more than a turn. If they move or charge, they lose it)

As they are an Infantry Regiment, they shall not take vehicles, except Chimeras.

Thoughts?

...So they're as good at fighting and shooting as Space Marines? Yeah, uh, nah.

How would they be balanced? They are still guardsmen firing lasguns and hitting with S3.

>They're like Cadians
>But with Better Armor
>And Veteran Weapon skill
>And power weapons for every man
>Despite Power weapons being pretty damn expensive
>Also pistols
>And they're better at trenching than everyone else
>And they get special rules for it all!

Firstly, this isn't really the point of these threads. This is more about fluff rather than rules.

Secondly, those rules are pretty overpowered if it's just making every single man a Vet with Carapace armor that's amazing in a gunline and also melee.

Third, those rules aren't even particularly fluffy. +1 to hit in melee isn't even a real thing in 40k, and basically outstrips a +1 to WS entirely. Not only that, but it gives them this weird mix of gunlining and melee benefits that makes it unclear what they want to do or where they come from.

Is knife-fighting common on their homeworld? Is it a violent and lawless enough place that every guardsmen was issued a crappy handgun? Why are they so good at defensive trench warfare and lasgun marksmanship if they apparently have great armor, power knives, and short range pistols? Shouldn't they be busy in an enemy trench or bunker where they can get in close right away?

It's a mess.

Firstly, Guardsmen don't usually get Regiment bonuses like Space Marines get chapter tactics. The only example we have is for Talleran desert raiders in Imperial armor paying 20 points per unit for Move Through Cover in exchange for not taking Carapace armor.

You could have them with maybe 1 of these benefits at a point increase to the squad and they'd be balanced. Maybe.

The armor is pure fluff.

Well...I think you are right. Will revise it

The issue is you mostly seem to have focused on giving them Cool Shit instead of building around an idea. There's nothing wrong with cool shit, as long as it helps build a personality for the regiment.
What's their homeworld like? How does that affect their gear, tactics, beliefs? What sort of history do they have? You gotta build around an idea, not just "and they have this and this and they're the best at this and this".

thanks.
yeah its a bit cliche but its an intersting one.
the mindless axe murderer thing khorne has been getting more lately is just boring.

Came up with a neat IG regiment the other day, I like pretty much every fast attack unit of theirs so I wanted to make a regiment focused on mobility.

Basically their homeworld is this planet with really vast plains and very little mountains. The plains have vast prometheum reserves so the population centers are basically just giant refineries. The only real thing of interest in this place is the giant archaeotech trains that run from hive to hive. I imagine these things are super grimdark trains so they're probably several stories high and a couple kilometers long. Entire populations live on these things and have their own cultures and shit, kind of like a deisel-punk snowpiercer.

So the real big event that shaped the planet was when an ork waaagh! formed of a massive speed freak kult invaded the planet. The planetary forces couldn't defend against their relentless hit-and-run tactics and pretty soon their entire transport network was shattered. Eventually they got aid from the white scars who basically taught them how to counter the orks with their own tactics. The ensuing campaign became a giant mechanized fury road-themed war with evil sunz bikerz clashing with motorcycle-clad rough riders.

After the war was won the planet changed its combat doctrine to be all about fast and mobile infantry supported by chimeras, rough riders, and valkyries, but with very little heavy support.

Yeee boiiiiiiiz

"Tempest Hawks"

I enjoyed reading your fluff and models user!
Can we get more AoS your dudes in here? Just like this user says it is fun to see something new.

I am making an N7 Space Marine Army. With the idea that the Mass Effect and Warhammer 40k universe are the same, and that the reapers that were defeated were only the first wave of reapers, the others were still in dark space and thus were spared from the effects of the crucible, they are now coming to complete their mission.

This is my first attempt at painting ever, so I am hoping to get better overtime.

The Terminators in my Army are from that Assault on Blackreach set.
