I'll be going on a family vacation in a few weeks Veeky Forums; what are some good board games that I can bring along?
Travel Board Games?
Diplomacy
Instead of staying cooped up in your room playing board games, try leaving your room and experiencing new things.
Did... Did you read the OP at all?
I get that reading is hard, but you gotta try buddy.
Sorry I should have been more descriptive with my post. When I'm at the hotel, after a day of merriment and enjoyment with my family, what board games would recommend to play, that are easy to bring along? I understand that reading between the lines is hard for someone with autism, but "you gotta try buddy"
Tomboys are shit
Oh wait shit I misread that. Fuck.
...
Sorry user, OP here. Jumped the gun and misread your post while I was phoneposting. I am and
Checkers
Chess
Monopoly (RAGE INDUCING!)
Clue
Fuck, I'll definitely bring along a copy of Clue. It's been years since I last played. Ill try and grab myself a travel chess kit to bring along as well. Thanks
Settlers of catan.
Anything quick and fun. If you can find it, Lagoon is quite small and easy to pick up. Alternatively, you can grab any sort of Card game, or hell even just a deck of cards and the multitude of games easily found online.
Hadn't heard of Lagoon before so I'll check it out. I'm thinking about picking up Gloom because it's small and can easily fit into a suitcase/backpack
Co-op games are always fun with family if no one backseat games.
Forbidden Desert, Forbidden Island for example.
What's the age range of your family?
Monopoly's a classic, always inspires a bit of friendly competition.
The last time my family played, my dad and my brother had a machismo-infused stalemate that lasted for three days.
You hurt me. This is for you.
Age Range is mid-late teens, early 20s, and 40s. I haven't played Forbidden Desert or Forbidden Island so I'll check both of those out tonight.
Monopoly is quite a classic. Been a while since I've played but the outcomes are always fun. For a few years, no one wanted to play Monopoly because my brother had a 2 year long winning streak. I ended up kicking his ass during our most recent game and broke his streak
I'm saving that for later use
Saboteur is fun and easy to grasp - tiny box too
