>Faction lore for 1st goddess
Throughout many cities of the Goddess are sects of her faith known as the Long Mothers Way. The sect practices a strange and secretive magic known as spirit-tongue, and is led by the Long Mothers, metamorphosed high priestesses. The sect will sometimes travel during holy weeks that change from year to year, and are only known to them. Them, and the occupants of the city the Long Mother's decide to celebrate in.

The Goddess Melira (meh-LIE-rah) is the second aspect of War, and Keeper of the Gentle Sword. She is the Goddess attributed to the art of killing with a single blow, beautiful murder, painless death, and mercy.

It is said that she abhors hatred of cruelty, and kills with as much love as possible. She does this because sees the beauty in the act of killing, just as plainly as she sees the ugliness of the aftermath of killing.

To be a warrior that would make Melira proud is to be a swordsman of skill and wisdom. It is to avoid conflict whenever possible, and to kill with a single, painless blow when conflict is inevitable. It is to live with such integrity that, when you too are defeated one day by a more skilled swordsman, you will cry tears of joy at the beauty of your enemy's sword-stroke, even as your head falls from your shoulders.

Melira's holy days are on the first and last New Moons of Winter. Pray for perfection in your acts, and freedom from rage and other hot emotions. Give her offerings of sweet wine, fine grain, and hand-picked flowers that have outlasted the snow. Her holy animal is the owl.

When a nomadic people passed through the lands of the 1st goddess, the matriarch's daughter evoked the wrath of the goddess and the woman of the tribe were cursed. Their men turned to dust, and they were turned into hideous creatures. The survivors fled to the second goddess's land, who welcomed them, but found it's winters too harsh. Thus they fled to a region between the 2nd and 3rd goddesses land, where they spent the next fifty years in the mountains. There they had to fight for their very survival, becoming apt archers and warriors. However, they experienced great sadness as they would soon all die out. Their destiny was sealed when they were visited by an emissary of the 3rd goddess, who promised them a future for their tribe if they fought for her. The gorgon tribe jumped at the chance. They now have a place in the 3rd goddesses land. They also have mates given to them. Boys are born normal and given to the goddess, females are born as gorgons and are trained in the art of war.

The 3rd goddess is the redeemer or temperer of war.
She embodies the struggle over both the darker urges of living beings as well as the ability for war to bring out display what one is made of.

There can be a low reputation of her troops because that.

A common military unit are the casteless, men cursed with failing bodies for their transgressions, be it against the godesses or against their law.
there is little uniformity amongst such units, but all are bound in a fiberious body suit woven from the holy Gro'nal planet to keep hidden their sore skin from the shade of the moon and sun. Their lives are often ultimately short their quest to see glory often simply leads to stupid deaths but the sharper and smarter ones rise becoming full Perditioners. Their bodies will be marked with ritual tattoos made with ink of the deadly Glib'va root as make them as mild deva. They shed their mortal shame and body together and are are given their token of office and are set to mentor future heroes and generals. Of their remains, only their bonded suit and dust survives. the suit becomes becomes a holy armour, hard as steel and as light as silk retaining the wit of the fighter who once wore it. And their dust becomes a warrior and general enhancement supplement as the physical embodiment of a life time of struggle pain and accomplishment it opens the user up the natural hum of the war. often at the cost of the user's own self for there are no easy ways to excellence

Rolled 4 (1d10)

do dice still work here? its been forever since I've tried.

Might as well.

Lunar Arc Archers.
To fire an arrow and miss betrays the will of the goddess, especially if harm comes to the enemy.

So while her followers may not march out with volleys with arrows, her blessed Arcs are bowmen with skill that's not to be underestimated.

They learn the bow blinded as part of their training, so that when the sense is restored to them, they hit truer than ever thought possible. They often fit the role of spies and rangers more than any kind of artillery group. They have long since learned how to survive in the cold wilderness.

Thoughts? Also have a quick sketch.

Aspect for 2nd Goddess: The Silent Watcher
The Silent Watcher is known to appear to soldiers on the battlefield, most frequently after they've been struck down. She will remain silent and at a distance, watching the soldier struggle to survive, crawling despite his wounds. It is said that she judges their will to live, and may at last decide to pull them to their feet (they usually find themselves a mile or so off the battlefield), or she may avert her eyes, in which case the soldier will perish.
