1st for you guys are lazy fucks

>and orks

Avatar of Isha would be cool. Like a Lord of War healer, which would be pretty much the first time that has been done.

3rd for the Omnissiah

I'm not even sure how you would do that. Would it be an aura of feel no pain, psychic powers to cast Renewal to heal wounds on single targets, and the ability to revive dead squads?

4th for waacfags, tourneyfags, and grognards being btfo with 8E

So, anyone need SW:A rulebooks scans? 157mb of well scanned rules.

5th for Macragge

The SWA google doc is broken

So I'm Building a Deathwatch army. I have my current one with watch captain Artemis, vanguard veterans, Regular vets, A corvus, and a full squad of Termies. With how they're all set up it's 1175 points. Any suggestions for finishing up a 1500 point army?

I was going to add a land raider with all the gubbinz but that would leave me with 40 pts and I'm super new so I wouldn't know if its worth it or if they're are other upgrades I should really want.

So I am a johnny come late trying eternal crusade because it's free - I'm finding it pretty frustrating and not fun like space marine's multiplayer was. Melee or heavy bolter kills in all of 2 seconds, so it's more like a Red orchestra "Spawn, spend 90% time moving, then you're dead" than space marine.

Who wins? Baneblade or Bloodthirster?

You jumped the gun, Junior.

Learn to melee.
New players, who are identifiable because they have no armour mods, open with a fast attack. Counter with a D-bash then hip-fire into the upper torso/head area.
Experienced players will usually open with a strong attack because it has the least risk while doing a lot of damage. Roll *past* them and keep running. Your roll has invincibility frames and will stop you getting killed quickly.
The best counter to melee is climbing on top of a box and laying into them.
An enemy team will spam Heavy Bolters until you get smart and start sniping them with a Lascannon. Use the master crafted Lascannon if you have it. If they see you and start firing, move. The suppression is too much to be able to fire back and will draw attention to your position.

How about you grab some rhinos (or rhino variants like razorback or predators) or a drop pod instead of Land Raiders? Landraiders are OK, but not great, there's better stuff for the points.
disclaimer: I don't play space marines.

Someone suggest a Psykana, in replacement of the Acolyte Psykers, but they are too much point wise compared to the Acolytes.

Man, I haven't seen someone accuse GW of being part of the white genocide jew conspiracy, whatever happened to the people who would post about that, it was really funny.

WTF do I take with Cawl in a Battle brothers format? Possibly going the teamed up with Millitarum Tempestus or Ultrasmurfs.

Sure, if you've got it. Google doc is currently broken.

I'm in the groove of painting a model

I think the bronze I got is too dark though for the trimmings :l

I was thihnking it, but I wanted to know if anyopne could point me to saya formation or some good wargear or relics, I'm pretty sure I have all the slots filled.

Basically the Avatar of Ynnead, just Mastery Level 4, and less CC abilities. Biomancy or some new eldar psychic power set. 18" range for FNP.

I rocked up and tried my hand at weathering. I may have overdone it a bit but I really like that it makes my yellow bastards less toy-like.

What's everybody working on?

...

Baneblade probably. Bloodthirsters arent that amazing.

Hot Dog Stand theme-marines, assemble!

Is GeeDubs entering a silver age? It's like a golden age but not as good but still pretty good.

Rolled 5, 4 = 9 (2d6)

>implying
Bloodthirster has a 4+ jink, a 12" move, a strength D axe and two greater gifts which are randomly rolled for.

Finished modelling up a Farseer I'd been working on. Now moved onto a SoB Canoness conversion. Still not sure if the kitbash is gonna work out, though I'm hopeful.

If the share price is anything to go by then hell yes

Honestly after releasing Genestealers Cultists and a the new-Necrumunda type game I'm pretty close to drinking the koolaid again.

I started almost exactly a year ago, and it seems that every release has been pretty cool since then. So yeah everything seems goldenish to me.

Damn those devilish trips

Is it really the new-Necromunda though? Based gangs which could be personalised to hell and back vs a shitty skirmish game which makes zero sense in terms of fluff.

Did anyone else notice that the Siege of Vraks Second Edition in the Mega stops at p. 153 and picks up again at 202?

No rules are missing (DKoK starts on 202) but it's missing like 50 pages.

Of course, it being a second edition (and one that condensed three volumes into one) I'm sure the fluff is unchanged from the original iA 5/6/7, it's just weird.

Okay, what about Baneblade vs Monolith?

I should probably name my Brother Captain Oskar Weiner. Third company best, most condiment company.

>so it's more like a Red orchestra "Spawn, spend 90% time moving, then you're dead" than space marine.

Accurate to the tabletop

I've met some pretty unpleasent WAAC fags but I've met some unpleasent "fluff" players as well.
>Tyranids vs my blood angels
>Brags about how he's such good sport he didn't even put wings on his hive tyrant
I put my ten man tactical squad on the table, equipped with a power sword and a grav gun.
>Oh boy, grav spam!
Knock some monster down to I1 with the grav and then charge it with the power sword, killing it.
>*SIGH*, had to be grav, didn't it?
He's got gaunts coming towards my dread but I turn around and shoot his hive tyrant.
>Aren't you going to go for the guants? they're closer.
>5+ cover saves... *SIGH* yeah, he's dead
Force sword librarian kills his carnifex before he gets to strike
>starts packing his dead models away and phoning his wife, ignoring the game

The D-thirster was also free.

Monolith isn't even a super heavy, baneblade.

>Aren't you going to go for the guants? they're closer.

Lol fucking Tyranidfags

It's better if you buy it.
REAVERthirster > Dthirster

Did he like, forget what edition he was playing? I remember target priority being a thing in 40k, but that had to have been like four editions ago.

"Shoot the big ones" had such a scarring effect on 'Nid players that now, 10* years on, they're still scared of it.

*: (-ish?)

From memory, I dont think it even would have applied because you were allowed to shoot over over gaunts at monsters.

It wasn't even that he got things wrong, it's that he bragged so much about being a good sportsman for passing up on good wargear and units but then got really butthurt and passive aggressive when he starts losing.

>phoning his wife

I'm going to my first ever tournament.
This is ITC in San Antonio, TX. What should I expect? Is everything deathstar SM and Eldar these days?

I'm literally casual with friends, we mainly play fun missions. I have IG and some Cult Mech.

/40kg/ you're my only hope.

The new fluff sucks.

Stop posting your shitty porn.

You should expect the kind of autism that waacfags bring.

"I'm being a nice guy so you're obliged to let me fuck you."

You were right to destroy him.

Hey anons, I have a box of Sniper Scouts and a box of regular Scouts. I've been asking around on how I should equip them, but I've been getting conflicting answers, so I'm still not 100% sure. Should I go all bolters and Missile Launcher or HBolter for the regular guys, and have them camp an objective, so no need for the bolter's mobility, or just give the sergeant a pistol and chainsword and save points? And for the sniper scouts, should I give them all snipers, or give one of them a Missile Launcher or Heavy Bolter?

And what guns should I give Devastators? I've been told that Missile Launchers are good, and bad, so I'm not sure about them. Plasma Cannons look fun and are fluffy, but they each have a 1/6 chance of not firing and possibly hurting the user, but four S7 AP2 blasts should kill a lot of stuff. Lascannons or Multi-meltas also seem pretty good.

And finally, how should I equip Assault Marines? I want to give the sergeant an Eviscerator and a Combat Shield so that he can take on most things and have a chance to survive duels against AP3 or better, and because I think it'd look really cool. I don't know what to give the other guys who can take stuff though. Flamers seem like a good idea, -1 Attack for the chance to roast a lot of stuff doesn't seem all that bad. Plasma Pistols seem pretty strong and keep the extra attack for pistol and chainsword, as well as being fluffy, but they are pretty expensive at 15 points.

You're not going to win, so just bring your favorite models and let the WAAC wash over you like ocean waves.

If you roll well and do bring down a 2++/2++ lord of change with a lasgun, it will made for a good anecdote.

Did you have a particular set of Chapter tactics in mind?

>Is everything deathstar SM and Eldar these days?

No, there's also Riptides and Tzeentch psychic bullshit spam. It's such a good thing we have so many fluffy things like allies and formations! Forge the narrative!

He's probably playing dark Angels, which he should have mentioned due to their descrepancies with the vanilla codex

Oh, Dark Angels!

Yeah, sorry about that, user.

user posted a DA Assault Marine for his pic, so it seems obvious, though he should have specified.

I'll give it a try, though I wouldn't be able to do the climbing up onto a box before they eviscerate me. It's been an annoying affair of whichever class I am I get instakilled by another. If I'm melee then it's a heavy bolter, if I am apothecary or tactical it's heavy bolter or melee, if I am heavy bolter it's melee. There was a case where I was a tactical Chaos marine and I caught a stealthed eldar (I forget the class, sword and pistol, green color) and even laying into him with a 1-2 second head start with my bolter he managed to go and melee spam me. If I am using the heavy bolter it seems fine but anything else feels like I am firing wet noodles.

It's free so I can't bitch too much, I just remember more fun with spess mehreen than with it.

You can swap the chainsword on the sargent for a plasma pistol and going flying gunslinger.

If you plan on actually USING your scouts, give them sniper rifles and if points aren't an issue, cloaks as well. If they are just there to save you points and be cheaper than tactical marines, leave them with bolters. If you want them to melee for whatever stupid reason, give them chainswords not shotguns, and put them in a Land Speeder Storm.

Devastators should only be grav-cannons or lascannons unless you are Salamanders or Skyhammer. Grav-cannons for power, Lascannons for long range.

Assault Marines should just be 5 in a free Rhino or Drop Pod with 2 flamers and maybe a melta bomb. If you actually want to have them be jump marines, switch the Rhino for jump packs. Combat shield is fucking useless but looks cool if it's from the newest kit. Eviscerators aren't worth the points but I have them for coolness and just count them as chainswords. Pistols of any sort are never worth paying points for unless you are a 30K Moritat. Ideally you would have 2 melta guns for every 5 assault marines but only Blood Angels get that so we settle for 2 flamers.

Should I keep the lasher-tendrils or swap them for a power scourge on the Helbrute?

Ah, should have guessed from the pic. Not sure how much helpful advice I can give there. I would say going with all Snipers for Scouts is probably better, and that Plasma pistols on assault marines are pretty wasteful.

Sniper scouts are great. Give them a missile launcher for some krak oomph on top of their snipers.
For regular scouts, either go bolters and heavy bolter/M-launcher for a budget tactical squad, or fill them with assault weapons, give the sarge meltabombs, and throw them in a landspeeder to rush/ outflank artillery, commanders, etc.

Infantry MLs are never worth buying full price, only CML/TML/vehicle variants for less points per shot/discounted prices. Heavy weapons are never worth it on non-Relentless units unless it has the word grav in its name or is something like a heavy flamer.

>Multiples of 5 rather than 8

The Bronze Lord is displeased by your failure.

>I'm literally casual with friends, we mainly play fun missions. I have IG and some Cult Mech.
I like you my dude.
I also am a casual admech player.
honestly it's going to be a toss up just expect to see atleast one eldar player in the top brackets.
It shouldn't be everywhere but expect to fight it at some point just not every fight

I like to play HoR Kill Team and want to make a Kill Team so as to not use my regular Ultramarines units for one. I'm not sure what chapters I should have on the Kill Team or what type of Marine they should be. I've already decided having A Carcharodon as part of the team.
What do?

You shouldn't bother with the hellforged because both the helbrute sucks regardless of whether it's only there to die.
Daemon Engine pack is better with one ecto fiend that gets BS5 and a mauler with tendrils

Don't be autistic, skulls collected are what matters. At least I'm not one of those homosexuals who make WE lists where half the units are ranged.

1) Why does the Helbrute suck?
2) How about that same formation but full Maulerfiend?
3) I'm trying to avoid picking fully ranged units in my Khornate army

That does sound cool, but man, I really like the idea of a dude with an Eviscerator. Chainswords are 40k. Giant Chainswords just scream 40k to me, y'know what I mean, user?

I dunno, I think they'd be good for holding objectives since they can get some early movement with their special rules, right? I don't really like grav cannons since they seem like a really cheesy and overly powerful option, though lascannons seem pretty nice. I was wondering about Missile Launchers, because I could get away with only needing one box of Devastators if I used two Missile Launchers from the tactical squad boxes. Yeah, the flamers on the Assault Marines seem like a good idea to me.

Yeah, Flamers seem like a superior choice, which makes me feel kinda sad, because Plasma Pistols are cool, man. I was thinking of giving the Sniper dudes the Missile Launcher or maybe the Heavy Bolter, since the Missile Launcher packs a nice punch, but the HBolter is the same range as the snipers, so I'm not sure. But all Snipers does seem pretty good too.

Yeah, a Missile Launcher sounds like a good idea, and I think I'll go with Bolters with a HBolter for my Scouts.

That's a real shame, because I'd like to give Tac squads Heavy Weapons, but then I noticed that you snapfire if you move with a Heavy weapon, so I think I'll just give them Plasma guns, probably.

I forgot to mention that I want to play Dark Angels, sorry anons! So I can't put the Scouts in Land Speeders, even if the Scout Land Speeder model looks really cool.

You dont have to take the eviscerator on the sarg, it's better that you dont anyway because then he cant be challenged out.

That's true, but I just think it'd be cool. Plus, wouldn't it be better for a Veteran sergeant to take the Eviscerator rather than have another guy with it and him have a meltabomb? Then again, I think that's actually the same amount of attacks with the same profile, huh.

The helbrute is a worse dreadnought with expensive upgrade weapon options on a platform that will last as long as a solo unmarked obliterator for more points.
You REALLY want to have a forge for the ballistic skill benefit. It may be shooting, but it's a dragon shooting laser beams. Khorne does shoot from time to time.

>he thinks Khornate marines cannot into ranged
Khorn cares not how the blood flows, only that it does.

Since shadow war exists now it seems to have completely cannibalized kill team. Boxes are gone and nobody even bothers at my local stores. Is this common of gw to do? I started in December and I know their reputation but I actually really enjoyed kill team...

Thanks for the advice. I was always a Mars fan, but IG armor was the best fit back then. Now with AdMech being a real army, I mix them together. They mix very well and keep my LRs alive.
I usually have no issue with Tau, and the guy who plays Tau is extremely unfair but pie plates for days fix that issue.
On the psychic phase, I don't even own a single model to create warp charges.
I will create a narrative, IG Armor and AdMech allies FTW.
I'm a 50/50 W/L casual but I figured this might be fun. I'll make as strong a list I can, but I'm IG so don't mind losing. DESU, it's still enjoyable to me if the other player isn't a dick (tau).
I'll go mainly all IG Armor and AdMech Destroyers (with gravguns) with Pask Punisher being the most 'troll' level character I'll have.
waacfags, only one of my buddies does this but over time we've taught him to be enjoyable (he's tau of course).

Can I get a link to WAAC lists that win these tournaments to make sure I'm bringing the proper power level of units to this tournament?

And again, thank you all for the feedback.

Pic is IG in a WAAC tournament.

I play fun tau lists and people complain about my army while they table me in like 3 or 4 turns. So your picture is inaccurate

Pic says 'non-Eldar' player.
Tau always take offense even when not mentioned.

Tau BTFO again on Veeky Forums

i see these lists all the time, what is used to make them?

I would also like to know this...

throw that shit down the well

i've got 50pts left over and unsure what to do with it. i really have no idea how i into SM lists

Look in the OP for the "picture book army selector"

If you see these all the time you should also see questions like yours and their replies.
I swear.
>every thread

Relics? Meltabombs?

>relics
i never know what to take or what might be a good fit. guess i could throw on some stuff onto that bike squad or pimp out the assault marines more

The point went completely over your head. Pretty much your proving the pic is wrong since you are that stupid and probably a space marine player

If you go to the rules, there's 4 categories of judgement. If you don't paint, you will be on the bottom. Besides, HATRED (All unpainted Models) is the norm.

kys

Now you show who the true retard is. . Get rekt

>Brags about how he's such good sport he didn't even put wings on his hive tyrant
Playing badly on purpose doesn't make you a good sport, it makes you an idiot who isn't going to be a worthwhile opponent.

>Khorn cares not how the blood flows, only that it does.
Next you'll try to use this to justify sorcery. Fuck off witch.

>The helbrute is a worse dreadnought with expensive upgrade weapon options on a platform that will last as long as a solo unmarked obliterator for more points
That's what the formation is for, actually. The Helbrute can be pretty killy if it reaches melee, and in the warpack he gets a 4++. Leave it alone and it'll reach melee and wreak shit. Kill it and suddenly my Maulerfiends have rage. Focus on them, and the neglected Berzerker horde, Juggerlord and Prince will wipe you clean off the board.

Best thing is that you don't need to keep the Warpsmith around and he can give them infinite Daemonforges while forming part of the 15-man Talisman squad.

>HATRED (All unpainted Models)
Really? I thought this was just a Veeky Forums meme.

I can only imagine WAAC arguing over what counts as painted.

In a game of 1000 points or greater you basically have to be running at least one flyrant to even have a credible chance of winning. He essentially threw the game when he made his list.

Had a pretty Guardtastic day anons it was glorious had three Guard players at the shop today and one of them was Death Korp as well. Had an epic Maelstrom game between a Guard user from Veeky Forumsand in my other game managed to rout a Tau player from the field. And Shadowsword was amazing today. Any of you lads interested in a batrep just tell me which one you want first. And show me those game pics anons for the glory of the God-Emperor!!!

I remember you, you're that guy that sperged out whenever the thought of any form of shooting in a Khornate warband was brought up and went to Carnac tier levels of butthurt when someone showed multiple canon uses of stuff like heavy bolters, aren't you?

Besides, it used to be that Sorcery and Psykers were very much different, with Khorne being fine with Psykers because it was their own power they were born with, and smiting Sorcerers because it wasn't their own power as they drew it from the warp using arcane knowledge.

>mfw they allow me to bring my unpainted Riptide Wing

Taufag tears are sweetest of all.

>not using a Dreadclaw to get your Hellbrute into MURDER RANGE
