Only a regular one here, but she got so much hate. I think the best value I got out of her was killing a 2 drop, getting 2 snakes, eating an electrify, then bringing her back to hand and playing again for more snakes. She was a massive removal bait which let my glorybringer and crossing croc go by without dying.

Also seeing as we're throwing out -1/-1s like candy

Maybe throne of the god pharaoh as well? if we're getting a lot of tokens, attack with them all, drain the life of the entire table.

I'm implying that Oloro decks are UBw, not ubW. Their strength is on their blue or black cards and not their white cards, and therefore they're not affected enough by Gloom for it to be worth running. Especially Oloro decks, which are barely affected by being unable to cast their commander.

Rookie question here, but does putting +1/+1 counters on a creature remove -1/-1 counters? I'm guessing no.

I was reigning myself in from thinking it was possible to get say, an infinite persist somehow.

They actually cancel each other now (since mirrodin2 iirc)

You know what the most popular "lifegain matters" card in Oloro is? Sanguine Bond. The next 4 most popular ones are either Black of Artifacts.

For gods sake, more Oloro decks play Propaganda than Ghostly Prison!
White is the 3rd most important in this 3-colour deck.

Kind of curious that they don't mention any other type of stat-altering counter. There's a lot of things like "+1/+0 counters" in the old cards before they stopped having fun.

Wotc doesnt have a banlist unless you count the lolMTGOlol list which is just the RC list + bugs and about 2 months behind

In a nutshell yes, as a state based action if both type of counters exist they will cancel each other out.

However there's some interactions if a creature with a +1/+1 counter gets enough -1/-1 counters put on it to put its toughness to 0 it would result in the creature dying with both +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters on it before the state based check for removing the counters happen.

A notable example is if a Hangarback Walker with three +1/+1 counters on it gets three -1/-1 counters put on it by a Skinrender. This results in the Hangarback Walker dying with both three +1/+1 counters and three -1/-1 counters on it. Last know state checked that there were three +1/+1 counters on it before it died and puts three thopter tokens into play.
