Both aside, I'd need more information about the kind of character he wants to play before I would accept him or not. If he can make a decent character, I'd give him a shot.

Furry thing doesn't raise too many flags since about three people in my group jack it to furry porn, and they're decent players. Just don't try to ERP at the table or make some Mary Sue furry wish-fulfillment character.

If I or a friend of mine knew them then I'd consider it. I'd be extremely wary and would want to see his character sheet before hand. If he plays CE or CN that's another red flag. Tiefling or dragonborn is another redflag, etc.

I have two groups: a highly lethal OSR module run and a standard custom setting campaign. I would let him into the first group (where I assume his special snowflake character would die within 10 minutes and he'll get mad) but not into the second group until he proves himself a decent player.

No, no for the following reasons:
-Nobody fucking appreciates Sarcasm. It's annoying and grating and the humor of people who think they're smarter and better than other people, but are actually fucking stupid and worse than most other people.
-If they list "I'll stop if told so", than they must have been told an awful lot of fucking times to stop.
-Proudly admitted that they would be unwilling to roleplay, but in such a way that implies they'd "metagame" like that guy who shouts at a movie or says shit like, "Man if that was me I'd do way better, they're all fucking stupid."

As benign as this little bio might be overall, in my experience furries and otherkin are invariably problem players, and I immediately dislike anybody who tries to attribute themselves with "cool" qualities like being a trickster. I also dislike overly sarcastic people. It gets fucking annoying.
