Tervigons for swarm. Zoanthropes because they look cool and psykers are gonna be awesome next edition. Warriors because hell yes they might be viable for the first time in forever in the new edition.

I started playing in 88 as Squats and IG. Picked up Marines when RTB01 came out. Fast forward to 3rd, playing Marines. Picked up Tau and Nids in 4th/5th. So tired of all my armies other than fucking marines being either adequate or underpowered from edition to edition.

Just hoping that GW gets some competent crunch writers to write rules that mean that every army has an equal chance but they all play uniquely.

Nids will be to Imperial Agents as Genestealer Cults are to Space Marines and Imperial Guard.

Lol nah. Nids sell huge centerpiece models, and will probably be getting even BIGGERER bio-titan creatures in the future. GW loves those cash cows. Genestealer Cults don't have any hueg expensive models of that nature, they were mainly put out to sell purestrain genestealers and old IG kits again.

Mostly Lord and other high ranking necrons have kept their sanity and are capable of things like diplomacy, the rest have gone insane

Just grab one Tervigon and then a Zoey box and maybe the Start Collecting kit.

That'll give you 4 different synapse sources. You can only do one Prime out of a Warrior kit though, but you could always convert the others. We have no idea how Primes will work under the new rules though.

I was playing 3rd ed Grey Knights in 5th ed. I was the only one at my club of ~50 people.

They literally said on facebook how the factions listed on the 40k site aren't representative of all available factions

Thanks for the heads up on the primes/warriors, it's funny how I had this list in mind a few days ago and it looks like I'll be sticking with it. What would be your advice for expanding it to 1500? Assuming points are the same of course, I was thinking the tervigons and a few venomthropes (given the info on hit modifiers in 8th), only going to expand once the swarm is painted however

Maybe you should focus on getting a decent HQ that isn't overcosted trash.

Practically everyone these days knows that distraction carnifex doesn't work anymore, especially so with a shitty carnifex like OOE.

The new Carnifex set already comes with parts for OOE. Doesn't make him any less of a shitty unit though.

Currently my Sisters are a mix of personal army for the Inquisitor and remains of an actual Sister order.
Squad leaders and HQ are proper SoB while the rest are just Inquisitor Battle Harem in power armour.

The idea started as a way to avoid getting too much metal models
