Pathfinder General /pfg/

Have you PMed anyone in any of your games and gotten to know them better?

Old Thread:

How can I make a loveable, dimwitted minotaur bard who is NOT for lewd?

By playing up the dumb, fun aspect instead of the huge horsecock or fat tits?

Have you ever considered not being a cunt?

Make him male and doughy.

1. Find a campaign that lets you play a Minotaur
2. Take levels in Bard.

Done.

If they wanted be to know them better they'd PM me.

I'm not gonna start annoying them when they barely tolerate my existence.

What if they're thinking the same thing about you? Two shits passing in the night.

We all barely tolerate our existences, user.

You don't? I've added 2 of them on skype and discord, pretty sure I've also friended one of them on facebook and would probably meet them in person at some con if I went to them.

I think you guys should make another thread and not post in this one

It's time to send yourself a PM.

Would you allow a player to swap an animal companion for a familiar?

Would you allow a player to deliberately pick multiple features that got him animal companions and swap them all for familiars?

Would you permit multiple picks of the Extra Familiar feat?

>plan on being the ultimate skill monkey for Trouser Snake
>Investigator/Vigilante
>everything uses Int
>with Human/FCB/int/Class ranks/Background skills have 16 ranks per level
No one can stop me now!

What games are recruiting?

Depends on what the player wants to do with it.

>Would you allow a player to swap an animal companion for a familiar?
No

>Would you allow a player to deliberately pick multiple features that got him animal companions and swap them all for familiars?
No

>Would you permit multiple picks of the Extra Familiar feat?
Wouldn't even allow the first pic.

Have you ever considered not wasting the energy on being mad at anime? I bet it would free up a lot of your time and lower your stress by a significant margin.

I'm not mad at anime, I'm mad at 'let's keep going on about 2hu and dhb, and also lets keep telling people to pm their fucking discord crushes'

stop it.

I honestly have no clue what the player is planning.
They're doing a Raven Lord//Incanter gestalt, so I assume they want loads of ravens for some reason.

>tfw will never get to play out my disgusting /ss/ cleric fantasies in game

I believe in you. One day you'll be able to play out your debauchery.

Should probably ask them then.

If they want it to do for fluff, let them. If they want to abuse it don't.

Just communicate, really.

Who is best girl? I want to lick Gamze's eyebrows

Oh, that? I can agree with that.
I don't even get why people get so involved with those two, even second hand.

>Have you PMed anyone in any of your games and gotten to know them better?
No. There's one I'd like to get to know better but I'm worried they resent or dislike me OOCly. So I don't want to push the matter.

You're reaching critical levels of tsun there.

>I want to lick Gamze's eyebrows
what? why?

>Would you allow a player to swap an animal companion for a familiar?
Sure. Given how many convoluted ways there are to exchange one for the other, I may as well cut through the bullshit and just let them swap if they want.

>Would you allow a player to deliberately pick multiple features that got him animal companions and swap them all for familiars?
Probably not. Only one unless you can find a way to do it RAW. Don't strain the limits of my good will.

>Would you permit multiple picks of the Extra Familiar feat?
Didn't even know that was a feat. Probably not, but like anything I could be convinced with a suitably persuasive argument.

I love everyone in my parties! I might not be the best player or the most talkative, but I hold no grudges or anger-feelings towards my partners!

Jesus Christ can we not?

Anyways: I have a new player, and they are playing warpriest. They really struggle with the whole "prepare spells" thing. Anything I can do as a DM to help them?

Tell them this:
>before session starts, not every morning in game, make 2-3 lists of your 'normal list' with a few empty slots for prep during the day

Instead of deciding all their slots each in game morning they choose one of their preprepared lists. If they can't manage to make the lists then help them do so.

Tell them to look at each level of spell and pick two spells they think are the shit. Then have them put half their prepared spells in each one.

Alternatively, convert them to a spontaneous caster.

In what way are they struggling, just the 'all these spells to pick from' thing?

Basically

>Alternatively, convert them to a spontaneous caster.
I was thinking of doing this DESU, because they seem fine building a competent character out of game (travel domain for delivering a full attacking paladin...it is super good), but they seem to have decision paralysis in game.

How would you convert a 6th level prepared divine caster to spontaneous?

Seconded. You can use any of the other 6-level caster's spells known tables and keep spells per day.

Well, are they struggling with understanding how prepared casting works in the first place, or just struggling with deciding what to prepare?

I love everybody in my party, too!

How good is Daring Cavalier from an 'I'm the only melee character in the party' perspective?

What about Warpriest?

It's pretty dang easy: just tell them to ignore the Warpriest's prep rules and instead look at Inquisitor's spells known.

>How would you convert a 6th level prepared divine caster to spontaneous?
Simple option is to find another 6th level caster, except that it's spontaneous instead of prepared, and hotswap the tables.

When was the last time you had a moment where you realized you had been severely underestimating the enemy.

My players had this recently when they had misjudged the main antagonist. They assumed because he hadn't fought them he couldn't fight and used his lieutenants, so they went for a final rush sort of plan. Got a very warm welcoming when they busted into his audience chamber. The main villain was waiting for them and congratulated them for sneaking into his home past his guards, and even brought three of his lieutenants as witnesses, but told the party 'they will not be participating'.

A reminder that your party is not your friends in or out of character and that you should always have a plan to kill them in or out of character

The inquisitor gets a custom spell list though. The warpriest just uses the cleric list. I'm worried that the loss in versatility would be too big of a hit.

What about giving them bard casting from the cleric list, and giving them spell keening or something similar?

Warpriests are fucking amazing. Human FCB warpriest gets 2 few feats than a fighter, and you can swift action buff yourself each round.

What if I still count them as my friends and want to trust them even when I ALSO have a plan to kill them all if they should turn on me?

Spell Kenning limited to the Cleric List but usable a few more times a day sounds good to me.

I just can't even! Ugh!

What's his name?

I mean I really can't even at all. It's super like...terribad how weird these threads get.

Seriously though; this place gets way to degenerate sometimes. Remember that if you want a hobby to flourish you need to not creep the fuck out of normies.

>Gamze
I don't keep up with any of the games or anything, but is that a homestuck reference?

Can you sell me on Warpriest?

I've gone from thinking I'd be a Brawler, to thinking Slayer, to thinking Daring Cavalier, to now considering Warpriest and I am getting fucking confused.

Will do. Give me a sec though.

Warpriest is pretty much a fusion of Cleric/Fighter. From the Fighter side, you get Fighter-tier proficiencies and a good chunk of bonus feats. From the Cleric side, you get a decent spell list (Cleric up to 6th isn't anything to sneeze at, even if you're a bit delayed). Where you really shine is your Sacred Weapon and Armor, which allow you to buff up your gear, along with Fervor, which allows you to absolutely inundate yourself with self-buffs.

Surprisingly no.

Thankfully no.

You realize the post you replied to was making fun of you, right?

...you realize that the first two sentences of my reply were continuing the joke?

I still worry. What if you love me ICly but OOCly you just want me to crawl into a hole somewhere and freeze to death? I worry about those things. All the time.

No, thankfully. It's actually just a name (Turkish, I think?).

>Playing a character intentionally designed to be far removed from myself
I'm more afraid of people liking them too much than of people disliking me.

Remember to never let 2hu in your game, cause they'll cuck your players from you!

Anyone got Fool's Errand? Doc in the OP is locked.

But what if that pisses yourself off?

Would (you) want to be disturbed by (you)?

I love you in both, silly!

Here you go, senpai.

Ok: Strap yourself in.

Attached is a level 12 warpriest. The only buffs present are greater magic weapon and magic vestments(turning your masterwork cutlass and armor and buckler into +3, huge money savings), both of which are all day buffs.

Now: as a SWIFT action you can:
>Spend (1 fervor, 1 first level spell) on Divine Favor to gain +4 atk and damage
>Spend (1 fervor, 1 first level spell) on Shield of Faith to gain +4 deflection to AC.
>Spend (1 fervor, 1 second level spell) on Ironskin to gain +6 enchantment to natural armor.
>Spend (1 fervor, daily limit) on Sacred Weapon and Sacred Armor to gain an additional +3 attack/damage for a weapon and +2 AC for your armor.
>Spend (2 blessings) on Destructive Attacks to give yourself +6 damage to your weapon.

You have 2 fewer feats than a fighter of the same level, you qualify for weapon specialization just like a fighter does, and oh, btw, you are a 6th level prepared cleric.

Thanks muchacho

Okay, one question. Is it worth taking Brawler (Contender) over vanilla Brawler or archetyped versions?

That's a pretty good load of stuff. Thanks.

Only starting at level 3, but that's a nice goal. The flexibility is very nice. I won't be able to rely on anyone else to do much in this campaign I'm thinking, so having solid damage, tank ability and some utility sounds good.

Also d20psfrd is wonking out, what levels do humans get their bonus feats?

Only at level 1.

For a warpriest, +1/6th bonus fighter feat per level.

Contendor is Schrodinger's Initiator. You trade half your combat feats, an x/day class feature that I've never considered to be good or worth it. You also lose Brawler's Flurry but that was just icing on the cake. I consider it a straight upgrade if you want to be a punchy, non-Supernatural, Wisdom-based initiator

Their favored Class bonus reads.

d20psfrd just reads Human Gain ? of a new bonus combat feat.

Thanks

So there was drama in Dragons 2 last night?

No, I didn't

The green text didn't make it look like there was any. Where the fuck do people pick up gossip like this? I want in.

None to speak of no.

Sounds delightful, then. Also, considering most of /pfg/'s games tend to be gestalt, do you have any ideas about what would go well with Contender?

I heard Valeriya wants to slay Ameiko and claim the throne for herself!

Honestly, pick a Wisdom-based caster for utility an then go to town. I'd probably pick Cleric, Empyreal Sorcerer, or some other caster class to give utility

but does she have the blood

You sort of implied there was on Discord earlier.

Alright, thanks. I guess I'll send that up when a new lfg pops up.

Mostly just me beating myself up for not being a better DM.

So something did happen?

I'll beat you up for not being a better boyfriend

Me forgetting the age old advice.

"Fade to black".

Everyone liked it, but we all agreed that it shouldn't happen in the future.

>another GM forgot that you need to F2B during session time

AAAAAA

Who was it? Aurora?

The Amatatsu Seal gives you the blood.

Is a fade to black necessary if the entire party is in on the action?

No, it was Rory and Rorymei after failing numerous will saves in an ill-fated plan to honeypot a criminal.

t. Rory

....could we move the lewed stuff to a ERP thread?

Based on last night's green text there was a double dosage of Rorys.

Not necessarily.
It depends on the players.

>failing numerous will saves

So pic related?

I don't get why these people don't go to the /erp/ thread on /soc/. Seriously. You can post porn there, post f-lists there and you can't get yelled at for being off topic since you're on topic.

A very attractive man tag-teamed Rorymei and Rory while Lio watched in arousal.

Yes.

Rory was disguised as a twink and Rorymei was wearing Gerudo Link clothes.

I believe it was number 3

can we not?

Could you please take off your name?

Yea sorry. On my phone it remembers it in strange as fuck ways.
