Let's talk about Perform! What good things have you done with Perform that WEREN'T just using it as part of a class feature? Like, legit, default uses of Perform. Have you ever put on huge shows and gotten famous?

The synethesia gas trap from the emerald spire floor 3 gave me some ideas for using it as a date rape drug on one of the players. It crosses sensory information so that you feel what you see, you see smells, and you smell what you hear, etc. Im gonna have the cleric of the level date-rape one of the captive pcs just for fun.

Am I doing this right? We're in agreement to do the scene, but I put in the drug use as a suprise.

I've used Perform (Oratory) checks to inspire a crowd to overthrow their corrupt monarchy so we could loot the town for the mcguffin while everyone was occupied.

I've scored a 108 on a Perform (Dance) check in combat thanks to exploding dice houserules.

Proceeded to use it as my AC (Thanks, Mithral Current), traverse the entire battlefield in a single turn (Thanks, Mithral Current), draw an AOO from every enemy and be missed every time (Thanks, Mithral Current), and deal around two thousand points of net damage in the process (Thanks, Mithral Current).

>exploding dice rules
>thanks mithral current

I'd have done that without the exploding bullshit houserules, I just would have been hit twice in the process.

sureee

Do you have any idea how easy it is to crank skill checks to bullshit levels? +50 is trivial by 20th.

>20th level
>but mithral current is the problem!

Problem?
No, everything went perfectly.

>thanks mithral current

Yeah dude you're clearly not calling it op at all

That's correct, I'm not calling it OP. I'm acknowledging its role in my character's success.

Are you new?

Nice adhom, friend. I've been here and playing Pathfailure since [ARBITRARY DATE NOBODY CAN PROVE].

i mean to Veeky Forums

Well, couldn't figure out Yuan-Ti for the life of me. But country punchgal lizardfolk works too, I guess.

Might wanna brush up on that reading comprehension, buddy. I clearly said I've been here since [ARBITRARY DATE].

Is this for Trouser Snakes

No. I'd rather not try to enter in late.

So yes.

Is Antipaladin a meme or actually good?

>enter in late
>still two weeks on apps

what did he mean by this

It's really good but the antipaladin's oath makes it bad for group play.

The fear aura is basically a "the enemies start dropping spaghetti" button.

It's Paladin but Evil.

Its really good as far as evil classes go. Its even better if you are undead so you can use a swift action to heal yourself every turn

You mean Insinuator/Tyrant, right?

Because those are the only archetypes that make Antipaladin playable. Not mechanically playable, but actually playable in a party with other non-evil party members

I'm not particularly worried about others, as I'm pretty sure the only other player will follow my lead if I go full Hitler.

Well, I mean I wouldn't be against playing her there, but don't we have enough lizards there?

A player comes to you with this story for their character. How do you react?

Svara grew up the daughter of a senator in The Spire. She was always in the shadows of her two older twin brothers, Brafor and Chast. Her father was never around, always working, or drinking, or sleeping with some woman of the night. The children were contained to the house with their mother. Svara’s mother was always an obsessive parent. Stern and overly careful, she devoted every moment of her attention to her children-- mostly her sons. She loved her sons and would do anything for them. She would spoil them by buying them anything they desired, hiring the best cooks to keep them fed, managing every detail of their lives to befit one of ease, safety, and comfort. They had private teachers who groomed them for a life in politics. Svara was granted none of this love. She was much younger than her brothers, and looked much more like her father than her mother. She was denied school and was sent to do housekeeping tasks with the maids each day. The maids were strict and cruel and gave her no privileged treatment.

cont.

Has anyone used a kaiju in their game?

One day when Svara was 12 years old, her brothers were mugged and beaten to death in the street on one of the few nights they were permitted to leave the house premises. Her mother went into a deep despair. Sometimes pretending, or forgetting, that the sons had died. Other times she would just sit and weep. Sometimes she would do nothing at all except stare into the fireplace for an entire day. At one point she began speaking to different mystics and sorcerers in the city. She was researching something; Obsessed with finding more information. Then one day, about 3 months after the death of her sons, she packed Svara into a horse cart and rode with her into the Black Flats. Svara’s memories of what happened there are foggy and confused. She recalls leaving with her mother. She remembers screaming and kicking that she didn’t want to go until her mother made one of the guards bind her limbs. Then her memories become dark and clouded. When she tries to remember what happened, she gets stricken with a deep visceral fear. She tries not to think about it too often anymore. The next thing she remembers is waking up in the crpyts beneath the Elven city of Trovine.

When she awoke there was a small, glowing girl with wings tending to her wounds. She thought she was dreaming at first as she faded in and out of consciousness. After a few days she had recovered. This is how Svara first met Echo. Echo was a pixie who lived in crypts. She saw Svara ride in on horseback and collapse into the dirt. She was covered with cuts on the right side of her body. Two bleeding stumps of horns were pushing through the peak of her head. A short, stubby tail pressed out from the base of her spine. Echo used her magic to help heal Svara.

cont.

Svara had slept in the dirt for a week. Eating small pieces of meat that Echo brought her and drinking the water which dripped down the rough cut stone walls. Svara named the pixie echo because as they spoke in the crypts their voices would carry for what seemed like miles. They could hear their words reflecting back to them for twenty second after speaking.

Svara and Echo spent nearly a month together in the crypts. The would sing and play games. Svara began to discover that she had new powers developing. She could control the plants growing around them. Sometimes she could hear the conversations of rats while she slept. Echo helped Svara train her druidic magic. Svara's horns and tail grew larger as she aged. At first she was ashamed of them, but as she became more accustomed to them she saw how useful these new adaptations could be. She always wondered why they had began to grow. After a time Svara felt the need to go back into the world. She couldn’t return home, so she became an outsider to the exterior cities. Doing whatever odd job she could to get by and honing her skills at fighting and controlling her magic. She was hot tempered and, at times, would be compelled with a hate filled rage. She didn’t know where this came from, but it had never happened before being taken from her home all those years ago. Now Svara is becoming to determined to uncover just what happened when her mother took her to the black flats. She left there with her body changed with demonic features, new magical abilities, and a dark rage deep inside her-- something terrible must have occurred and it was time she knew.

wtf where's the tail

How's the exploding dice houserule work? The only system I've ever played with exploding dice is Savage Worlds, but I've wanted to integrate them into other games.

How do you handle it when PCs need to lie to other PCs?
Do you call for Bluff vs. Sense Motive? Do you let them roleplay it out? Or do you allow one of them to call for the roll first?

are you asking us to rate their character or something?

Yes.

I'd ask them who the character is, beyond just a collection of events.

Eh. A few warning signs but nothing too huge.
I'd demand some "whatif"s be answered to make sure this wasn't shitbait, but as long as they weren't trying to wrangle the pixie as a second PC it'd work well enough.

I tell them to roleplay it out. If they don't, whoever breaks roleplay first is assumed to have lost the opposed skill check.

What's the premise of the campaign? The character is a 6/10 but it could be better or worse depending on how well it meshes into the setting and campaign pitch. Tell the player to elaborate on her personality since Svara's personality is almost completely unknown.

Oh, no. The pixie is a familiar that she demanded for free at 1st level because it's "crucial to her story".

It's worth noting that she also mentioned her character is "at least half demon" and despite all the fluff about druid magic in the story, the sheet she filled out is for a rogue.

Mention that shit, retard. It's just a tad bit important.

She might (haha, fat chance) be planning to multiclass into druid. More likely, it's a "BUT MY BACKSTORY SAYS I DRUID POWERS" gambit.

Either way, the pixie is an instant no unless somebody else at the table is going to play it.

How do I play a cute pixie in Pathfinder?

She sent me this before she even knew what the campaign premise was. We were going to meet up to make characters together but she just sent me this out of the blue.

Ask to be the pixie familiar or friend of a player!

Why does the same autistic weeb keep using fucking anime pictures?

Yeah, fuck that.

Let her be a tiefling, flat no to the pixie, and tell her to either change the backstory or class choice so that they match.

I want that pixie on my shoulder, she seems really cute!

>why are weebs weebs

Scientists want to know why this is too

What are interesting additional abilities a flying item might have beyond transporting the rider?

app.roll20.net/forum/permalink/5035357/
Is it meme worthy yet? Are you abandoning your emo girls? A swashbuckler? Really?

I want to play her and put her on your shoulder, but I don't know of any pixie races or monster classes!

Not much to go on yet, user.

OSRfag here, a blogpost got me thinking about 3e (et al.) for the first time in a while
>revolution21days.blogspot.com/2012/01/why-d-has-lots-of-rules-for-combat.html
and if you fellow had anything to add to or disagree with it on.

Also, 2hu-fag lives here? I thought he just crawled out of the woodwork for Planescape threads?

Bitch don't look NG to me

The lineup right now is pretty wild, desu

Yes, this is where 2hu lives

This is 2hu's home.

Yeah. I'd love to play something like this but I'd hate to have to resort to homebrew to do it.

Too late, there's already an official memequeen.

Now this, my friends, appears to be a forced meme

Last Known Sighting of 2hu:

Can someone explain to me like I'm a retard the difference between clerics, inquisitors, and warpriests? Both thematically and mechanically.

I'm very confused. Thematically at least they all seem like the same class.

>complaining about a swashbuckler
>in a tribal indiana jones adventure starting off on a ship

user....i...

Thematically it's just three flavors of RELIGION with different side focuses.

Clerics are fullcasters and tend to focus on that
Inquisitors are smite-anything with teamwork abilities and face abilities, like a religious bard.
Warpriests are gishy selfbuffing fightmen that like to get stuck in.

I wish there were more ROaB apps, they're interesting

Jane D may be a meme.

Have any dragons that aren't metallic, chromatic, or imperial ever got any serious attention?

Would inquisitor make for an alright support character for someone who isn't looking to play anything as strong as a cleric?

define 'support'

Definitely, its got more skill points and bonuses to some face skills. (Also Blistering Invective)

Who does the meme queen ship hardest?

Insinuator make it better for group play with their code of conduct change.

It's paladin but focused on more offense and debuffing.

Damage is not the primary focus of the character. Buffs, debuffs, control, whatever.

Your waifu and you

Isn't there even a swashbuckler archetype that centers around whip use? Someone really needs to get on that app

preacher inquisitors in particular are pretty solid at that

But what if my waifu is already PMing someone else?

But user, my waifu is dead

The shipping continues with LoBaF.

Six people, pair them off:
>Aida
>Essa
>Gamze
>Iolanthe
>Orlan
>Shanan

Looks like there has to be at least one Female x Female pairing. Pair them off! Place your bets!

No.

What are the pros and cons of PMing your crush?

Sometimes even the greatest ships sink, like the titanic. But we can't cling to the wreckage of what cannot be or can never be again for long, any ship is better than swimming, and the right ship for you is the one that comes to your aid.

Yes!

Everyone x A firey harpy lady

Pros
You'll know
They might reciprocate
You might make something magical together

Cons
They reject you
You find out they've been PMing some other hunk for weeks

These are stale memes, we need fresh memes

If I went complete indiana jones, what's my chances of getting in?

pros: if they like you too, you might have something going for you.

cons: they don't reciprocate and you're no worse off than you were before.

Con: They know your motives because they read the thread and aren't incredibly ignorant autists, just regularly ignorant autists, and reject you before you even make conversation

Probably better than just about any other concept, but concept alone can't guarantee you anything.

>tfw my crush has been PMing Chad Thundercock

Seriously? Come on, you know that's not true. She loves you, man, she's just friends with the other guy.

Are prepared casters just objectively better than spontaneous casters?

Who.
In.
Thefuck.
Even counts as a Chad around here?

Pros
Gaining The World

Cons
Losing Your Chains

>tfw crush asks me if I'm willing to play the cuck in an ntr threesome RP

Captain Slow

You said yes, right?

++ Might let you smash
++ You're going to have a new friend
+ May be open to the idea of talking over possible character interactions in a game you're both in
+ Almost certainly delighted to discuss possible side RP scenarios
+ Will likely be happy to talk to you regardless of what else you do together
+ Opens a dialogue with them

- Might turn you down
- Might be offended, but only if you come on too strong or by going "hay bb wan sum fuk"

Who? I'm not up on my memes.
