First for Tau invade Baal

CYBORG SKELETONS WHEN

3rd for Tau save Baal

They're already a thing

nth for tau-eldar-imperium-trollyzyn-dark eldar alliance against chaos

>high four, gue'la!

>see GW advertising Twitch stream of tournament
>click
>get this
CAN'T EVEN WATCH FOR FREE.

anyone know when these are going on sale?

They'd have a better chance of invading Brimlock, which is to say none in the case of either world.

Go Planet!

You can watch it free when it's live.

So which chaos god represents despair?

>One of the fastest fighters in all the human factions
>9th fucking post

You're literally an ork in disguise or mocking Fulgrim on purpose.
Shame on you user.

Khorne. That's why he is angry all the time.

Oh man, they got DMC's Dante?

Has there been any leaks or rumour regarding plasma weapons in 8th? Is Gets Hot! still a thing or has it been changed to something less dangerous? With all the multi-wound weapons, changes to armour saves and models getting more wounds, one or two S7 AP-3 shots doesn't seem so powerful compared to the dangers of Gets Hot!

Don't think you can get them outside of Japan.

>One of the fastest
>not THE fastest
>implying fulgrim is flawed in any way
HA! You are wrong.

...

I miss old Chaos

Nurgle.

Is it me or do the new changes to the Orkanauts in 8th that we've seen thus far still fail to find them a place in your average Ork list compared to other things when you consider how they'll likely buff things like the Stompa, Deff Dreads and Killa Kans or even Ork infantry like Tank Bustas or artillery like Mek Gunz?

Emperor of Man.

Well, the simple fact that they won't explode, they move a bit faster, and infantry can (probably) charge out of them will help.

At least now their large number of wounds will actually mean something.

It's listed as part of the Nurgle spectrum. So is fear.

That's a weird fucking assessment, since we don't know what an 8th Ork list looks like.

The game aint the same. All your units have fuckin changed, nigga.
7th does not into 8th.

they are JP only, but you can import

GW is contracting out the production to another company, so they will likely be available on amiami and the like

If I were to build an Imperial Guard force, how best could I emulate the Mobile Infantry? 50 conscript squads?

He might be the fastest (atleast from his stats in 30k) but part of the point of his tragic story was the he was in the end, flawed.

plz let him be one the fastest motherfuckers ever and have a gorilion attacks when we get his daemon model for 8th

All Xenos scum deserve nothing better than death.

Spam Plain guard platoons with missile launchers, put straken in their somewhere.

The Mobile Infantry, or the "Mobile" Infantry?

Process them as fertilizer for an imperial agri-world. They'll go from travelling space to travelling the large intestines of hive world citizens.

>Tfw new Vanilla Chaos Marines never

I JUST WANNA "YOUR DUDES IT UP"

>they are JP only
god damn it geedubs

Get a bunch of Forgeworld Arvus Lighters, and only fight nid players.

Any of the Audiobooks good to listen to whilst painting?

I've only ready the iron snakes stories, first 5 of horus heresy, and all the Ahriman books. Currently on Fall of Damnos for some Skelegate fluff so I'm open to pretty much any topic if its good

>God represents despair
>All it's servants are laughing and having a good time

The Mobile Infantry, as in from Starship Troopers the book.

>rocket launched

read liber chaotica nurgle
or like, any nurgle fluff ever

>he wants xeno scum in his intestines
Never before have I seen such vile heresy!

>process nids and orks into fertilizer
>what could go wrong

>Tyrannocell and Ork Spores fuse
>horribly abominations that spread like mould

Farsight enclaves crisis suit spam, I am dead serious

No, I'd never play a xeno army. It's too heretical.

Iz thought itz 'cause Gork an' Mork punch him to de otha end o' da Warp every time he tries ta feed offa da boyz wid out askin' first.

If you mean Starship Troopers, then by playing Space Marines but with nukes.

for what purpose? is japan really that big into 40k, let alone ultramarines? i also hate regional special releases only, i think its way more hurtful to hobbys then helpful

You need to not be playing Guard if you want the real MI. The real MI are hyper-elite hulking mechanized gorillas. Your best bet would be "counts as" Crisis Suits.

Assuming you are aiming for the ones from the Starship Troopers film, any mix of conscripts, infantry platoons, veteran squads, command squads and psykers you like. Special weapons are restricted to sniper rifles and maybe demolition charges, heavies I'm not sure... they had shoulder-launched nukes which doesn't seem to fit any 40k weapon (possibly represent them with a master of ordinance) and I think some kind of HMG (which could be heavy bolters or autocannons, I guess).

Play a couple of 4 man squad platoons with a platoon command squad in each one. Play around with commissars because they look like Carl Jenkins. Play a couple of vendettas loaded with scions too.

...

Intredasting...

Heavy weapons squads? Any chimeras?

Vast majority of descriptions in codexes and rulebooks make Nurgle's mortal followers very somber and sad, while his daemons are the jolly ones. Except plaguebearers. Which are made from mortals.

it is probably intended as a promotional thing to try and get japan more into 40k

collectible characters for 750 yen each isn't unreasonable

i guess if i get them imported moment they are released, i just dont normally notice special things like that until its too late. have you seen how much that imperial marine with the laser rifle is on ebay now? thats what i want to avoid

Who knows what mischief fleet 4 will be up to

Yep canonically by the book the Mobile Infantry use battlesuits about the size of crisis suits. I don't recall them having melee weapons on them either.

You might be able to use Sentinels for that well enough.

What about those Elysian Drop Sentinels? Those would probably fit the style well.

Nah not without some heavy conversion. The suits in the book fly and are pretty agile compared to the sentinel.

these don't look like a limited release. Its just an attempt to get a bigger foothold in Japan by partnering with a local company and imitating a style of mini thats popular there. I wouldn't expect them to get crazy expensive on ebay.

>Process them as fertilizer
>Feed ork-infested veggies to an entire Hive World
>Suddenly the entire planet bursts into Grots, then Orks

Classic Ad-Mech.

So, kind of late to the party because I've been playing D&D all day, but some observations on the daemons faction focus...

Apparently GW are still being needlessly complex for the sake of 'flavour'; most of the god-specific bonuses seem like they would have been done better by simply increasing stats. Khorne are great in close combat? There are three different ways you could do that without needing to make a special rule. Nurgle are really hard to kill? Again, three different ways to do that with the basic statline, no need for extra rules.

It seems that USRs are really dead, which we kind of knew already. Curious how they will do the always strikes first thing without using them to resolve rules interaction.

Lord of change getting 16 W seems to imply that most monstrous creatures will get about triple their current wounds to compensate for most heavy weapons doing D3 or D6 damage now.

Fucking rending is still around, even though the new AP system is perfectly able to do the job. Again, needless complexity when you could just use the statline to represent it. More rules to forget.

Blue horrors use reinforcement points. Still not 100% clear if they are just for summoned units or all reinforcements (odd name if it's just for summoned stuff). Not convinced that the extra flexibility is better than just starting with more units, but we'll see.

It's not clear if the rundown of problems the current codex has at the beginning of these articles is meant to imply that they are going to fix them. Seems like they could be a bit more explicit about that, especially when it's not a question of nerfing stuff but just removing irritating shit like a dozen random tables to roll on.

Also, kind of hope that bunches of random tables might still be in the game as an optional thing. I think 7th edition actually did a pretty good job with things like maelstrom of war. Nothing wrong with a bit more detail if you can choose to ignore it.

Oh Ad-mech and their silly antics. Cogboys will be cogboys.

So Stratagems tomorrow. Are those the things you can use Command Points for or are they objective cards?

...

Its gonna be awesome when he kills Guilliman again.

No vehicles except flyers in the first film. Not sure about the sequels, the cartoon and the various games. The flyers we see are distinctly not battlefield combat aircraft and are basically just used to get to the surface of the planets.

I think some of the later stuff introduced more elements from the book, notably battlesuits. Sentinels are about as close as you can get in the AM list. They lack the jump capabilities of the book suits and have less firepower, but the only thing in the game that even comes close are Tau battlesuits.

Heavy weapons squads seem like they would fit. I don't think we ever actually see a dedicated heavy weapons squad in the film, but they have HMGs and it isn't much of a stretch to say they could put those HMGs in a squad. We never really get a good idea of the unit structure anyway.

This is for you fucking faggots too lazy or shitty to paint

FOR THE LAZY FUCK WHO WANTS TO PRETEND HE TRIED AND WANTS IT TO BE "TABLETOP QUALITY"

WHAT YOU GODDAMN NEED

>your fucking brushes
>black primer
>like three goddamn paints, one for flesh if you need it, one metal for your weapons, and a color for clothes. More are preferred, but you're a lazy shitbag
>Army Painter dark tone quickshade or a wood varnish that you'll need to thin out with mineral spirits Miniwax works in my experience
>Matt Varnish for minis

Basecoat the model. (let it dry you stupid asshole)

Paint the frigging thing with your three/five pitiful colors. (let that goddamn dry)

Now dip the model into the quickshade you either made or bought, let most of it drip off, then shake the excess off (I personally wipe the models down with a sock or a rag or someshit) Just make sure there isn't excess shade on the model

Now it'll need to dry for a long while

Once it's dry, you might have enough of a brain to notice the model is way too shiny

Now you use the matt varnish

Let that dry (seriously if you fuck up at this point I don't even know why you're alive)

Congrats you have a mini/minis that don't look like fucking shit, or even worse are gray and just awful

I think they are a little smaller than Tau suits. I got the impression they are more like terminator sized, with the wearer's arms and legs inside the suit limbs.

Their firepower is way more than crisis suits have though. Their missile launchers can wreck the shit out of entire city blocks.

Don't remember if they mention melee weapons, but I seem to recall a 'knife beam' which was used for close-in work. Or was that in the forever war?

Guilliman won't die. We nobledark now.

Hopefully they are the command points things or something entirely new, as I'd like some information on that stuff.

Curious about what they are going to do with the objectives though. Are all those fancy cards going to be redundant already? My housemate has like ten boxes of them...

Gotta watch live for free user.

>complaining about the quality of others painting
I consider myself luck if the other guy bothered to base it before putting it on the table.

Check your fucking privelledge.

I'm going to take this newfound opportunity with the fourth wave Tau to make what I've always wanted to make, a Tau/Human fleet-based mercenary force, where everyone is equal in the quest for more money and the Imperium and Tau can go fuck themselves.

I try my very hardest to paint my models but they all look fucking shit no matter how much time I spend on them

Why is this so shit? Half the paints were dry and one of the spilled before unboxing.

AND HERES ONE FOR THE TRULY FUCKING AWFUL WHO REFUSE TO PAINT AT ALL AND JUST PLAY WITH GREY BLOBS AND DESERVE TO DIE A MOST HORRIBLE DEATH

SERIOUSLY YOU CAN DO THIS TO DOZENS OF MODELS INSIDE OF AN HOUR, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T PLAY WITH GREY PLASTIC

>BASECOAT YOUR MODEL(S) A LIGHT COLOR THAT LOOKS NICE

>DIP IT IN THE FUCKING QUICKSHADE AND MAKE SURE YOU SHAKE IT/WIPE THE EXCESS OFF PROPERLY

>APPLY THEM ALL WITH MATT MINI VARNISH

Now at least your army looks like board game pieces, and not just grey fucking plastic you goddamn souless idiot, and if you choose to go back and paint them you can

You know how people say null oil or whatever it is is liquid skill?

Quickshade method IS the real version of that meme, try it, you won't be disappointed

You know, I might be a degenerate Chaos worshipper, and I might have tried to have sex with a Great Unclean One once, but humans who turn to xenos are the most disgusting thing I have ever seen.

why are you sperging out so hard?

They're leader is a man in an Orange Jumpsuit, a mad scientist, and a pile of sentient shit!

Because grey plastic is a cancer on the eyes and the soul

Anyone else take part in the Inner Circle thing today?

I'll try this. I do feel bad for putting unpainted dudes on the table

Maybe.

=][=

I almost did, but I feel my dudes are not good enough. Their only claim to fame is a chimera conversion.

>not being part of the moon camouflage master-race

I aspire to one day ascend from pro-painted pleb-hood.

What's this a reference to?

I kind of like the idea of summoning as being a sort of sideboard system where you can pull in specialist units as you need them, but it seems like it will be a fucking pain to work out unit costs in the middle of a game. I don't play AoS, but it seems like less of an issue there because upgrades are just free. Wonder if there will be an option to use matched play points costs for your list but just go with the narrative power levels for summoned shit?

>going to a GW
>interacting with insufferable redshirts that try to shill you something every other sentence

I get they have a job to do, but I hate that they pretend to be your friend it feels so fake and I automatically distrust that

Liquid does not work that way.

Sluggy freelance, a terribly drawn but reasonably well written and incredibly long webcomic about space mercenaries.

It may be that summoned things are going to be pretty set in what you can call in.

If not, then the best answer would be to have notecards with your various options written up beforehand to be equal cost

>noise marine
>servant to a god that was spawned by xenos fucking too much
Consider your opinion discarded.

Thats why you actually make friends with them and joke about GW's BS

Shit, meant schlock mercenary. Somehow got them mixed up in my head.
