Don't flood the board with character art threads. Use the catalog, cuck.

This is a pretty specific thread, faggot.

Okay, that song just isn't very well written, is it.
3/10, would not tip.

Thats chicks hot.

Bards are such a narrow archetype compared to the other classes and it makes me hate them.

Why aren't they just a Wizard subclass, or even just Wizards refluffed to be singing?

Why aren't they just a mage subclass, or even just mages refluffed to be bookish?

mage and fighty guy should be the only classes imo

I want to play a noise bard

Here's an esoteric bard

>tfw mystics didn't get the elf/dwarf treatment so I can't use not-mystics in my settings without feeling guilty

best bard right here

*plays you the song of his people*

My goblin bard character, straight from a drawthread on this very board.
More likely to disrupt anyone's actions than to inspire courage though...

>Bards are such a narrow archetype

Later asked for a spider jazz diva, don't know if that count.
Those eyes trouble me...

On one hand, my boner for jazz and swing culture of the 20s, 30s, and 40s is pleased. On the other 7 hands that's fucking terrifying.

This is how I bard

Best image in the thread.
That's amazing in so many levels.

Dude crafting his art by the riverside, while imagining his song in the clouds.

At the same time you could state that his magic is so baller that he can control certain aspects of a character's mind, controling what they think they see.

Thank you so much for posting this.
Any other illustrations like that?

Why wouldn't his magic be actually be shaping the clouds? High fantasy characters can do much crazier things

I'm glad you liked it so much! I agree, it's a very bold and evocative illustration. The artist is Richard Hescox. I've got some other paintings by him but nothing else with a bard. If you're interested, here's a link to a gallery with a bunch of his other work.
