Chaos Renegade can take an orc lineman now, and the Chaos All-Stars got retconned as a Renegade team.

>pic related

Fairly pumped for the new goblin positionals. Orc lino for pact is pretty cool, too bad about no S access for him (it'd be too good)

So I've seen photos of new FW Goblin bombers, chainsaws and fanatics, but no pogo. Will they still be getting pogo guys in the new book?

Not sure, there is a Squig star player though

All sorts of optional rules that no doubt the NAF will just ignore too, including a less accurate Fireball Wizard

For timescale too, taking a slightly longer break than normal until Veeky Forums FUMBBL League VIII.

Does Underworld get any new toys to play with?

does the wizard only have a nerfed fireball? or does he have lightning bolt as well? because fireball definitely wasn't the thing that made wizards bullshit, it was the lightning

...

Everyone's favorite Human/undead/orc coach here. Anyone else have a copy of DZ season 2?

Thanks m8

A squig star players they can permanently hire.

>squig star player
Squig Rider star player, actually. There's also a Rat Ogre with ball & chain which is cool.

Willy Miniatures Nurgle models are pretty dope.

Though annoyed the worm styled beast doesn't have tentacles. Have to add some myself.

>also a Rat Ogre with ball & chain
what's the point? ball and chain already has st 7, how does he work?

130k for 5729, B&C, Loner, MB, No Hands, Prehensile Tail, SW. He can be taken by Skaven and Underworld. Personally, I think someone at GW saw the conversion from the screaming bell Rat Ogre and thought it looked cool enough for a star player.

holy fuck, that's a lot of specialists

i don't know, i mean he is a ratogre and the only thing he has over a gobbo is MB, feels inconsistent(and 5ma but that's not the point). Also why does he have higher armour then a normal ratogre? Did you mistype that. Fluff aside looks like a pretty nice piece, 5ma is a lot.

Nag, he totally is av9 for some reason. People on fumbbl were wondering why too. Pretty cheap too for the rats.

>the only thing he has over a gobbo
He has prehensile tail. Good luck getting away from him.

>why does he have higher armour then a normal ratogre?
Because he is half machine

>the NAF is still using the old edition

Why?

Because the newer edition isn't fully 'out' yet?

Why did GW reboot bloodbowl, yet hardly bothered making models for it?

Did the starter box sell so poorly that they didnt invest making most the other teams?

Thoughts on the doom rider and 'ooligan for the gobbo's, loo fun but are they worth it (and where to find models?)

Quite the opposite - It sold so well they scrapped plans for the elfs being in resin (upgrade kits for a plastic pro elf box, like the bright crusaders) to making them in plastic. It means that there'll be a longer wait on them though, as it takes more time to make plastic molds.

>5 new team kits plus big guys, star players and bitz packs
>hardly making models
Christ, do you just expect them to drop everything on us at once? The fact that they're doing rereleases of the classic teams shows they're at least trying (though the fact that the classic team rereleases are limited run shows they're being kinda douchey about it, but that's GW for ya)

Interesting, I didnt know it really took that long to make the molds. Figured theyd ramp up production by now.

I'm fairly sure pro elf and nurgle are coming out this year. I'd expect to see the three other elf teams next year, along with DZ3 which will have the rosters for whatever teams they're working on next.

>Nurgle

What makes you think Nurgle? Certainly not a complaint if they do, be nice to see what they make 'em look like.

Death Zone season 1 - Human, Skaven, Orc, Dwarf, Nurgle and all the Elves. They released DZ2 because all the teams in it can be completed with already released models (except they haven't released a minotaur or dark elf yet).

Ah, I never looked at the season one book. Well, here's to starting Nurgle at some point.

New Dwarf and Skaven teams in the BB app, Dwarf Slayer and Clan Pestilens:

Dwarf Slayer Hold

0-16 Beast Slayers 6237, Dauntless, Thick Skull, 60k, GS
0-4 Troll Slayers 5328, Block(!), Dauntless, Frenzy, Thick Skull, 90k, GS
0-2 Skaven Slayers 5328, Breack Tackle, Frenzy, NoS, Thick Skull, 70k, GP
0-2 Dragon Slayers 5439, Block, Juggernaut, Dauntless, Stand Firm, Thick Skull, 170k, GS

Skaven Pestilent Vermin

0-16 Novitiates 6337, Disturbing Presence, 50k, GM
0-4 Pox flingers 6337, Bombardier, Pass, Secret Weapon, 50k, GP (M on doubles)
0-2 Poison Keepers 8337, Dodge, Stab, 100k, GA (M on doubles)
0-2 Cardinals 6338, Block, Horns, 80k GS (M on doubles)
Rat Ogre S (M on doubles)

Anyone have a digital copy of death zone season 2?

Beast Slayers are 6ma 3st 3ag 7av.

Dragon Slayers, chaos warrior that starts with block and a ton of other skills, holy crap.

st3 break tackle? surely would have been more useful on the dragon slayers

and 4 hmp access bombers on pestilens seems pretty good

fuck you fuck you fuck you start the new league you pussy

>teams in print are their release cycle

nope, just look at how gobbos came out

it sold well but not well enough for them to support bb

With the metal molds they do made to order so they can buy exactly as much metal they need and do one run of it.

These items aren't profitable as small-scale made-to-order so instead you get one batch of stuff, it would be nicer to have more information about what will be available for made to order (for example them splitting up the undead teams was retarded and weird)

Going to be starting anew league, seems the other players are going with humans and drawves, I have decided to go with goblins, not to win obviously (though as some of the players have never played and don't read rules I recon I can get wins on some players)

What do you think of this for a starting roster?

9 Goblins
1 bomma (due to a few drawf teams)
1 Fanatic
1 ooligan (fame modifier looks useful, though could switch for the doom diver)
2 trolls

4 re-rolls
1cheerleader
1 fan factor (could leave these behind if going with doom driver)

This will leave me with 100,000 for two bribes and give me a TV of 900,000, hopefully putting me in a good position to get inducements later one.

Yea it kinda sucked that to get a full necro team you had to order 2 sets

you need a chainsaw on a goblin team

4 re-rolls is probably unnecessary.

I was thinking that, but as half the league has drawves, I thought, do I really need a chainsaw?

And I was thinking 4 re-rolls might be unneccesary, could always switch one out for a looney, but still not sure a chain saw will be that helpful against the drawves

It's like that for 99% of the GW teams, even 3rd party teams often have baffling lineups

fumbbl.com/help:LRB6RaceStrategy

Except Goblins are part of the orc team and were released simultaneously with DZ2 which has rules for Goblin teams, Goblin and Skaven Teams and Human + various teams.

>fumbbl.com/help:LRB6RaceStrategy
Thanks, the problem with old strategis is that they don't take into account the ooligan and doom diver (no idea if they are any good, but should try them out to find out)

Though looks lke 4 re-rolls isn't too much, so will probably keep that. Most of the line up looks similar to what they have, quite simialr to variation 3 though I have traded pogoer for ooligan and saved up some money for more inducements by having 4 instead of 5 re-rolls

General consensus on the 'ooligan so far seems to be poor. While Goblins do like having the advantage on kickoff results, in general it seems like paying 30k extra for just that is not great.

The Doom Diver seems neat, but maybe a bit flawed in premise as Halflings are the Stunty team that are most likely to be using the TTM attack method, rather than Goblins who have plenty of other, less unreliable options for player removal (which is saying something because all the Goblin methods of player removal are already unreliable).

Doom diver looks great, the new skill basically makes him better at being thrown, at the cost of losing some if the benefits of stunty

if you think paying 70k for a goblin is good strategy then I've got bad news for you

I love the ooligan and the dd because they're funny and flavorful but they're not good

>Not wanting to use dd's for touchdown shenanigans

It's Goblins. The whole team isn't exactly the WAAC players first choice.

There's a difference between WAAC and intentionally playing sub-optimally

if i pick undead because its the best team but only use zombies is that waac

sure the dd helps 1TTDs but it's a lot of TV to give up bribes and other things the goblin team needs

To be fair, we can theory craft that they aren't good. But it is difficult to say they arne't good without actually trying them.

I understand the theory of why they arn'et good, disturbing presence on one dude is useless, need more of it, and the +1 isn't wrth 30,000

But...and listen to me here, if I have a 'ooligan I can model him like a prick (how to convert a 'ooligan, and the doom diver for that matter other than using an old night golbin doom diver)

Id take either some gretchin 9r a govlin from the booster and use greenstuff to give him a batman cape, or use toothpicks and green stuff to make an umbrella

So I've always heard talk about putting more than 11 players on the pitch as a goblin team. Is there a rule I'm missing, or is it some unspoken thing from earlier editions?

i think this was something people talked about for ogre team snotlings? not sure. don't think anything like this was an official rule, though

The titchy rule used to work along the lines of: At kickoff, roll a d6 for every player with the Titchy rule.

0-1 player is ejected.
2-4 place another player with the Titchy rule from the reserves onto the pitch within the TZs of this player, within the team's half (and I think they couldn't be placed in an opposing player's TZs).
5-6 Place two players in this fashion instead.

I remember that for a number of rules infractions regarding setup, like not moving your turn counter, you can be penalized by docking a reroll. Maybe what I was thinking of was just goblin players being encouraged to play the cheating up to the hilt for the sake of flavor.

Any website with older and alternative BB stuff in the US? Always find really awesome models or widgets or something and it's almost always coming out of Europe and I get raped by shipping.

So BBG, Halflings or Ogres? Assuming a continual league rather than a tournament, with the new DZ stadium and sponsorship rules.

ogres if you want multiple big guys

flings if you want three treemen and a better chance at winning

though if you're playing against noobs ogres can be really tough

ogres are straight up the worst team in bloodbowl, you need hot dice to win. however if your league is very heavily lightly armored (elves, skaven, stunties ect) then ogres could be good in the long run once they get a bit more reliable and can start pitch clearing teams

ogres or vamps?

vampires are better than ogres, and vampires actually get really fucking good once you get high in the really high tv ranges. 6 skilled up vampires can be pretty unstoppable. but vampires struggle early on

Can anyone recommend a good, relatively cheap Norse team?
Living in Aus is suffering, I don't want to have to pay $150-200 just for a new team to play.

Get wooden cubes and put stickers / stick player details on them: boardgamegeek.com/thread/1036987/homebrew-blood-bowl-21-teams

youtube.com/watch?v=FwdTPdKd1aA

Just buy a box of plastic vikings or Anglo-Danes or something from Gripping Beast.

If you need them to look more like sportsmen, follow this excellent modelling tutorial.

>but as half the league has drawves, I thought, do I really need a chainsaw?
A chainsaw is as good as Claw and MB vs dwarves (for breaking armor)
if you give him dirty player he is better.

>that retarded Spaniard who couldn't play bb with his friend because he was too poor to buy minis and his friend was too poor to buy a computer so he printed jpgs off fumbbl to play

>Hating on people being creative and resourceful

I still haven't done it but it may happen soon, stay tuned for real life poorfagbowl

Stunty Squigs and Gnoblars:

I suggest getting pre-colored blocks, that will save even more money.

Huh, looks like the stats on on top of the cubes too. I'd tag it a practical alternative as well.

But I can say it's a bit annoying trying to build a Bretonnian team from spare and found bits. Not a lot of knightly models not on a horse, and if off a horse are super bulky in their armor. But I've managed to find alternatives.

Why do you still play on that eurotrash FUMBBL

fumbbl.com/help:SecretLeague

fumbbl.com/help:ForestT

I need my goblin spider riders.

>Start league a couple months back
>Have yet to have more than a couple games
>Learn the rest of the players were all college kids and left without word or warning once school ended

So does this mean I win the league?

only if you're the commissioner

So what team does everyone plan on picking up again once the new kit novelty wears off and we all realize none of us actually like goblins?

So how's everyone making their Chaos Renegade teams? I'm using the extra linemen from the human team I bought to fill out the positionals and converting them using the old chaos mutations sprue.

>pic related

Hey, I like goblins.

But I like winning more often than not, so I'm wondering what new Nurgle stuff might be down the road.

I'm probably gonna be lazy about it and just paint the non-human positionals in the same scheme as my humans.

I love goblins and underworld

Hey man, I actually like goblins. Now Dwarfs, that was the team that gets boring quick.

I didn't pick up any of the models because I knew that I would not be able to stand playing an entire league with them.

And here's a good underworld team: indiegogo.com/projects/green-ratz-fantasy-football-team#/

>Disturbing Presence

So we're all sure that this is a typo and they actually meant Dirty Player, right?

>DP

most likely, Black Gobbo had that as well, so most likely a typo.

>Underworld team
>$95
>literally an entire goblin box, a skaven box and a troll

Can you imagine if they did a Chaos Renegades team the same way? A Humans team box, an Orcs box, a Skaven box, a Goblin box, a Dark Elf box, and 3 big guys... It'd come out to like $250
I get the feeling GW isn't gonna be doing separate positional blisters, mostly due to how they've been designing their sprues, all the figures and bits tangled up with each other and hard to keep separate. Guess FW's got the ball...

I dunno; I'd be pretty hesitant to attack this guy.

it's not a typo, he's an 'ooligan

he just shouts and screams so it distracts players

>two goblins for thirty euros

ahahaha, you're joking right?

No way. He's a fan favorite. The fans love it when he fouls other players.

the fans love it because he's a loud goblin who screams and jumps around

he's basically a cheerleader on the pitch

Anywhere I can find decent minis for stuff like coaching staff and inducements and stuff? Most third-party stuff seems to be shit.
