Is that fucking consular book out yet?

>They're out of production for the time being. They'll be back after wave XI

Huh, well at least that explains why I cant fucking find them.
Actually that's a lie, I can find occasional Scum Y-Wings but no rebel ones.

Why are they out of production though?
Was there something wrong with the mould or something?

Not sure if it's DECENT...

I played 40k for years before X-Wing. My first X-Wing tourney was a regionals event in 2013. There were 8 players. I took Turr Phennir, Krassis Trellix, and 2 academy pilots and managed to get 2nd place, only losing to the winner of the whole thing.

They produce things in big batches. There's a long turnaround time so if things sell out before the next batch is made there's a long wait. Ks and Ys are the victims this time around.

Yeah, I had noticed that K-wings seemed to be out as well in a fair number of places, but since I hate the design I wasnt bothered about picking one up.

Fair enough I guess, I'll just make do without the Y-fu for now.

Does anyone know of any resources for playing EotE/FaD in the old republic?

If you're super desperate for a Y, the scum Y ship and dial is completely interchangeable with the Rebel Y. All you'd need to do is borrow/proxy pilot cards and bases.

Im not that desperate in particular, there's no rush.
Just planning some canon games with my gf, so I wanted to go old school T65s and Y-wings.
It's no real biggie though.

Might go and grab that one K-wing I saw in the store the other day though. The parts might be nice, if nothing else.

Oh hang on, doesnt K-Wing have the TLTs?
Yeah, might definitely go pick that up then.

Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide for Saga- basically pick out the bits you need and convert them over

Like what era of the Old Republic? That's a pretty large chunk of time. Like KoTOR era? Just use the saga book with converted equipment.
ToJ era? Use the old WEG book, also with converted equipment
Prequels era? Use the many saga books. Half of the gear is already statted or identical to the basic EoTE stuff

Thanks. I'm trying to draw a new group away from D20 systems, but they're more interested in the SWTOR-era.

Post Sith Ships please

Ships appropriate for lone sith, or Inquisitors, that sort of spooky dude. Iconic angular shit that spooks the party when it shows up.

For the record I think pic related is absolute garbage (and takes up most of the google results), I'm just posting it to get it out of the goddamn way

Will settle for ships larger than one person, will even settle for obvious answers like Darth Mauls PM ship because hey, who doesn't like looking at em

I actually think most OR ships look pretty good, it's just this one looks like total ass

I like the decimator as an Inquisitorial ship.
It's got just enough space aboard to house an Inquis and maybe his closest agents - trusted pilot, tracker, etc - and it's menacing and sturdy.

Some of the old republic stuff I don't mind

Anyone have a PDF of the Bespin Gambit Campaign Book (not log, book) for Imperial Assault? It's not up in the pastebin.

There is a fan made Swotor guide for D6 over at D6HOLOCRON. Use the fluff stat your own stuff (or find some brew online).

Last I heard its supposed to come out June 1st. About time, too. My Healer really needs a signature ability.

Yo, gonna start my AoR game in the base on Yavin, Anyone got good pics of it?

This site has lots of caps of the films, and this page is the point they hit Yavin in R1 - might be worth a check.

Its a pretty big place for you!

Here's a map.

In northern chicagoland, is Pastimes the only store/club with a consistent X-wing group?

I really hate how the Rebels and Empire culturally appropriate those ancient temples for their own pathetic war. There was kings in those temples.

youtube.com/watch?v=iGsprNq-WxI
This video is mostly to gauge what people think of this editing style. Let me know what you think.

Our group is running Jewel of Yavin, and one of the Force-Sensitive PCs wants to run off with it and make a lightsaber.

Since, in-universe, the Jewel of Yavin is a spectacular example of a type of gemstones that make spectacular lightsaber crystals, how would you stat it using lightsaber rules?

Warfare has a kind of pragmatic approach to inanimate objects that we don't see in the same, appreciative and genteel way when people aren't shooting at us.
We had a LUP in western Iraq which would have been a camel-caravan walled fort probably dating back to the time of the silk road era or possibly even more ancient as all there was remaining where some of the walls. Even they where mostly falling down, so heavily blasted by wind and sand to have removed any trace of markings.
I seriously doubt was ever even looked at by an archaeologist as it was so damn remote, dry, obscenely hot and even the locals had forgotten about it being there. Heck, I'd almost bet that no ones ever been back there since either.

All rules disputes are best resolved with light sabres, or lengths of garden hose or if you're really going ad-hoc, wrestling, screaming and biting.

>All rules disputes are best resolved with light sabres
That's for when FFG puts Nationals on TV.

Go for whatever the best/rarest gem is in FaD - Ilum I think?

And then give it a fancy colour.

>wrestling
OHHH YEAAAAAH

It'd be pretty damn powerful, considering what the Jedi in the module expected from it. Krayt dragon pearl would be a good base. Breach and Crit 1 are standard. To make it unique, I wouldn't give it the Vicious that the dragon pearl has. Instead something force-related. I read someone else's idea of rerolling force die, and that works really well.

So, the block would probably be:
Base Damage 10
Base Critical 1
Replace Quality (Breach 1)
Quality (Sunder)
Reroll 1 Force die per Force power check.

Not bothering with mod options because the idea of modding lightsaber crystals is fucking weird. Assume the crystal is considered fully modded.

This block, while not quite the overwhelming force in offense that the dragon pearl is, would make you really fucking good at using the Force, which I think is consistent with canon depictions of corusca gems.

Pretty much all crystals are either 9 or 10. Of the rating 10's, krayt dragon pearls are the most expensive, which is why I used 'em as a base.

IIRC Jacen Solo's lightsaber is the only Legends one we see with a corusca gem, and it was green.

>and it was green.

Yeah but I'd say a fancy green.
So not just the normal green, but like maybe leaf-green, or a very bright core which edges out into green.

Just something to make it sound fancier

Mephite's are quite a spectacular bit of rock, very high damage and critical, though the Ilum isn't far behind and potentially a 1-hit kill anything walking when its fully modded.
Lorrdian's are also quite an interesting stone if you want heaps of defence and that's not a bad thing to have in a light bat fight.

Personal favourite is the Barab, because being dismembered AND set on fire is pretty damn hilarious

I would totally watch that go down.
I have seen it, oh for the days when warhams took things personally and it ends up with 2 fat blokes full of sugary treats, pawing at each other in the gutter outside the game store.
It sure ain't pretty.
Funny yes
Never elegant

>Barab
Top-tier taste in saber crystals.

Like one of these?

torf.mmo-fashion.com/crystals/#Green

Well, corusca gems are purple, so why not green core with a purple corona?

Call it the Daily Dose.

First time on Veeky Forums, post in the sw /toy/ general.

Why haven't FFG released/made a Death Star turret?

Seems like something that's a no brainer.

it's something that only very few people actually want.

How do I deal with this list? I've lost to it two times in a row now.

It's Classic Paratanni, aka

Asajj-Latts, Mindlink-40
Fenn Rau- Mindlink, Autothrusters, CDP title-32
Manaroo-Mindlink-28

I can do anything Imperial, but my scum and rebel collections are much more limited.

Have 2 x-wing lists I'm running through my head for this weekend, help me decide which to run.

100/100 H8ful 8's
>Col. Vessery
Tie/D
Tractor Beam
Tie Mk.ii
VI
>Backdraft
FCS
Pattern Analyzer
LWF
Spec Ops Training
Adaptability
>Omega Leader
Juke
Comms Relay
Stealth Device

100/100 The D Squad
>Col. Vessery
Tie/D
Tractor Beam
Squad Leader (or snap shot?)
>Delta Sq. Pilot (ps1)
Tie/D
Tractor Beam
>Delta Sq. Pilot
Tie/D
Tractor Beam

The thought for the second list was I can use squad leader to provide actions for the ps1 guys who bump, or to give a someone a new lock for dessert to switch targets on. Goal is to have locks always up. Snap shot is just an idea to preemptively get a lock.

Shove everything down fenn or asajj's (whichever isn't starting immediately next to Manaroo) throats turn 1. Don't stop till they are dead. Manaroo can pass buffs around, but now only at R1 and even with her bumping/repositioning potential, she can't punch back in the late game and can only run and bump. Omega leader can blaze through her (once she's alone so you keep your lock), or several deadeye torpedoes can do the trick. 2 gamma squad vets with chips, deadeye, extra munitions, plasma and proton torps can down her in 1 turn without risk of losing locks. Then burn down asajj when she's toast. (Or go the other way, whichever comes into R3 first)

Why though?

I mean you can simulate base attacks/ The Trench Run?

The Quadjumper got made and nobody wanted that.

Make your own. I'm sure one of your 40k friends would jump for a conversion opportunity.

Just give it the turbolaser gun from epic ships and have it target the closest ship it can each turn.

Maybe give the target a second extra green die to simulate its poor targeting of smaller ships?

>you can simulate base attacks/ The Trench Run?
>implying that many people play narrative play.
People do play the narrative modes, but not enough to justify narrative-only products like that. just buy some from Shapeways.

I need help finding a good case for my X-wing big ships.

I had recently moved across the US, and mailed my x-wing stuff to myself. I kept my large ships in their foam case. The ships made it fine, but the case itself is fucked to hell and back.

What's a good case that has a soft interior/can have foam put in it (the ships are repainted)?

I need to store the following ships-

1 Decimator
1 Falcon
1 YT-2400
1 Firespray
1 Lambda
1 Upsilon
2 IG-2000's

How much seperatist tech do you think the consortium would have

I know 40kers but don't like it myself. I collect SW stuff so could probably cobble together one.

Surely it spices up gameplay no?

Put a few Turbolasers down and suddenly we've got a planet base assault... combine with Imperial Assault and the RPGs... win.

I've not actually brought any X-wing stuff just wondered why it hadn't been done., was planning to at some point.

Depends. Do they have their vidya-wank ability to steal entire planets and shit out dozens of battleships at the drop of a hat?
If so, probably none, they don't need it.
I'd you're talking a less silly incarnation, probably a fairly decent amount in the hands of the pirates and mercenaries they employ

>Surely it spices up gameplay no?
I'd say no, it wouldn't.

A static emplacement which doesn't interact with 50% of the game? Yeah, that's a great thing to make.

If they ever felt the need to do so, it could be packed as a cardboard insert for a mission booklet, and would piss off WAY less people.

I personally would actually quite like a mission against a base or something with a set objective you had to get to.

A trench run of some kind would be great fun.

But yeah, definitely just as little cardboard setups, fuck actuyally buying something new and expensive.

What's a good 26 point ship loadout to complement a standard 48 point Corran Horn and a 26 point stressing Y-wing? I was thinking maybe Jake Farrell with refit, autothrusters and proxying that new intensity upgrade but I've always been disappointed by A-wings when I use them. Other options I was considering were Biggs, who I don't really want to use but is probably objectively the best choice, a nearly-naked T-70 or a B-wing with a cheap cannon.

If you can't strip points off of Corran to afford a better droid, the probably Biggs with an R5 astro and Integrated Astromech.

Damn it feels so good to get back in the cockpit in TIE Fighter. Good feeling due to completing a mission on my first try after taking a break after dozen+ attempts

Also does anyone think that a Starviper ace pack will include Zann Consortium elite pilots (like Tyber Zann, Urai Fen, Sirli, etc.) and Buzz Droid missile/bomb card?

What would I take off of Corran though that wouldn't be points better spent on him than Biggs? I mean if I took R2-D2 off him to give Biggs regen instead that just seems like a straight downgrade since Biggs is more likely to go down in one volley and be unable to leverage the regen.

It's a tough nut to crack. Fenn Rau and Asajj are hard to put down and key to the list, but Manaroo is hanging around tossing tokens around.

Pick one and kill them ASAP. Fenn Rau is susceptible to bombs, auto damage, and getting blocked and focused down. Asajj is nigh impossible 1v1, but can get burned down and she loses out the most once mindlink buddies start droppung.
Roo is by far the easiest to kill.

Pick the easiest ship to kill and go for it. Roo is a good first target unless he fucks up and gives you Fenn Rau.

Does anyone have stats handy for a seperatist assassin probe? It was shown in the Clone Wars series during the Mandalore arc in Season 2.

I thought they'd make a pretty cool enemy for my players. Melee wise they could hold their own against a group of clones and managed to have Anakin on the ropes for a while.

Then when they die they release a bunch of smaller droids to finish the job.

forgot to mention, it's for Edge of the Empire

I would borrow the statline for a larger battle droid of some type, maybe with some different abilities, then do the same for smaller droids with some kind of basic combat ability.
Also, new chapter here: archiveofourown.org/works/10943235/chapters/24489816 It's real short, but there's some plot coming up, so I wanted one more lewd break before then.

>53420895
This isn't really anything on you, just a general pet peeve, but has ANYONE, EVER in the entire goddamn history of star wars pornography included a twi'lek character who WASN'T a current or former sex slave?

There's one in my story. Though she's only appeared in one chapter very briefly.

Focus fire one ship, whichever your opponent gives you, its a combined arms list so once it loses a ship its power drops really quick

Also, let me know what else you want to see in the story: strawpoll.com/8a69e8r

A scenario pack type deal with a bunch of turret counters and various ground targets plus rules for same could make for a nice product to add some variety to the game rather than all deathmatch all 24/7
Hrm, not sure if the master droid should be a rival or nemesis-tier enemy, but releasing a bunch of minions on death would be interesting to represent mechanically
Maybe overkill advantage could kill some of the minions before they deploy?
Same here, that revelation actually kinda killed my interest in this story
I mean your writing quality is fine, it's just that traumatic sexual pasts in porn stories never fail to massacre my boner like the imperial japs got a hold of it.

Trap/tomboy, but only if it's wholesome.
Otherwise lesbians

X-Wing/Y-wing
All meatbags are filthy casuals

I think you mean TIE/A-Wing, pleb

X-wing/A-wing is lewdest pairing

Counterpoint; Z-95/ARC-170
>b-but we're cousins
>t-that's forbidden love

And it's canon!
>tactic literally called the "A-wing slash" with them and X-wings

Just curious but what actually happened to the planets that joined the CIS? I'm guessing during the wars they were just put under martial law but what about after the war?

The lucky ones were put under martial law, Geonosis was "sterilized."

Dunno if that's in nu-canon. I know from the Tarkin novel that the first Death Star was built with a primarily Geonosian and droid labor force.

That's why the planet was sterilized- to help prevent the existence of the Death Star from leaking. Workers can't blab if they're dead.

It's from the recent Vader comics set immediatly after A New Hope.

Genosians got wrecked.

Get the oggdudes software, you can whip up NPC's really quickly with it.
The little buggers though it pops out might be a bit hard to stat up to actually do any damage without something like a contact poison or maybe another mechanic like Pierce 2, but you sort of run the risk of a bit of a TPK with them if they get too good.

Outer Rim Sieges where sort of the last death throws of the CIS- Boz Pity, Saleucami, Felucia etc
Very bloody affairs and had the effect of moving most of the Clones and Jedi out there, away from the core worlds so Palps could O66 them without too much resistance.

Its also in one of the Season 3 episodes of Rebels with Saw in it as well

youtube.com/watch?v=dwxYlAx_6bY

With all the talk of increasing automation in the real world, how is it that meat bags keep their jobs in a society with advanced robotics technology?

Droids seem to be sentient half the time, so outside the fact that the films never deal with the vaguely unsettling fact that its basically slavery of a sentient but its okay becuase theyre metal, you could quite happily say that most people just dont want to deal with that shit.

Plus, the galaxy just came out of a large-scale war involving countless billions of combat robots.
Perhaps that leaves people less willing to leave everything to robets?

Dear X-Wing players:

What would it take for you to switch to Armada? (whynotboth.jpg)

I'm sure that for most of you the answer is something like "well, nobody near me plays", right? What would it take for you to evangelize? Are your friends not that into tabletop and like X-Wing for it's short games? Are you into that "MtG feel" X-Wing has that Armada doesn't? Have you never gotten a chance to try Armada (or never anything beyond the old core set)? Is it price? Something else?

I never got that into X-Wing but immediately fell in love with Armada, so I'm curious what the view is like from the other side.

In return, I humbly donate this tribute to the /swg/ bizarro TIE gods.

The game would have to be a larger scale (multiple ISDs, flotillas of VSDs, etc) and play quicker. Love the minis, but the game is just boring.

For me it was definitely the price. I love everything FFG has done with Star Wars so far and I'd love to give Armada a try, but I'm already spending too much money on other stuff (SW Destiny, the rpg and X-Wings)

So in other words, not that the price of Armada itself is too high, but rather that the gaming budget is fully tapped?

Out of curiosity, how much are you spending on X-Wing? Are you in the "acquiring everything" or "just keeping up with new stuff" phase?

>The game would have to be a larger scale (multiple ISDs, flotillas of VSDs, etc) and play quicker. Love the minis, but the game is just boring

Larger scale AND quicker? Jeeze.

What's quicker mean to you? The "speed of play", or the length of a game? How quick would be quick enough?

As a data point, a 400pt game between experienced players currently takes around 1.5 - 2 hours, usually closer to the former (tournament games tend to take longer because of the increased pressure to win).

Speed of play, mostly. 2-3 hours can fly by if players are involved and doing stuff. I was at Worlds. I saw the Armada final. That turned me off so quickly

Don't take the World's final as representative!

Those two were playing mirrors of an incredibly hated archetype that's already very slow and defensive by nature, on top of taking as much time as possible because of the setting. That game bored *me* to tears, and I love Armada.

Basically, both of those lists were squadron heavy carrier fleets (slows game down), with Commander Rieekan (slows game down), tailored to a very defensive and reactionary playstyle (you get the idea), in the World's finale (blah blah).

Casual or store tournament games of Armada move WAY faster. Like I said, closer to an hour and a half.

I didn't mean to try and convert anybody, but definitely don't read into that fucking hell of a match.

Yeah, I figured. We have a few folks locally who play and I have some stuff (can't say no to the ISD and Interdictor) but I never got around to playing.

Even if I had the money, $115-130 is a lot to spend on a game I would have little to no time playing (and definitely nobody to play with)
I try to buy one of everything in X-Wing, one new small ship every 2 weeks, larger ships I get once in a while. I'm only missing some of the less exciting ones.

When do we get rules for using X-Wing to resolve the Armada squadron phase as part of an EotE campaign?

Honestly practically everything I dislike about armada is a basic element of how FFG designs games, so really there's not a thing that can be done
