Good news with 8th edition is since MSU won't be as viable, there no longer has to be this retarded "Kill Points" rule and we can go back to just counting up the actual points cost of the dead models to determine winners.

Taurox I'd say would be your best bet, I really don't think tau vehicles would work better in gsc than imperial ones, I own plenty of tau and orks. I mean, you could go the tonka truck route, but I reckon it'd be quite difficult to convert third party stuff into non orky vehicles, it's difficult enough to make them orky.

Don't know about the new ones (they look pretty fucking awesome, I'm going to pick some up just for random scatter terrain if nothing else). We use the old servo skull dice-holders, which I think are 20 mm square, but you need two for each objective. You probably want some space to have a mysterious objective indicator and the objective number on them still, so I'd recommend at least 40 mm.

From a purely model perspective it's Dark Eldar by far. Both in variety and quality. They're also largely cross compatible and spread throughout the range so you can do a lot mixing and matching them.

The concept of retro 50's robots is great.

The execution was fucking awful. I don't care how "intentionally bad" they're supposed to look, they came out like fisher-price toys.

If you want a good example of retro 50's sci-fi AdMech, the Sicarian Infiltrators with their weird flattened dome-heads are that. The Kastelans are garbage.

Well technically speaking now your infantry can would anything. And i do mean anything, but that's technically. In practice a lasgun is still gonna do dick all to most vehicles and big critters. But spit fire is a thing, and we really don't know enough about the guard infantry to say they will suck, we just know for certain that vehicles are getting better, which is the big complaint most of the guard players in my area have.

Based on what happened in AoS, primaris/ space marines are gonna be great. Because GW is pushing them to win. Same as the sigmarines in AoS. they literally messed with the balance so order would do better in narrative events.

Orks might be good if they follow Ironjaws example.
