Reposting from prior thread:
It's been years so this is just a highlights reel, not a blow by blow.
>1500 Salamanders v 3000 Nids >Using store 'assault' rules - 1000 points come on table every other turn >Every 2 turns, off table ships take off with Guardsmen until Turn 5 >As I was Salamanders, I asked the Store Owner about civilians >Owner grabs some of his Bretonnians "Protect these until turn 8. Turn 10 you can leave the table. Or abandon them and leave in Turn 6." >NOT ON MY WATCH
>Civilians sitting on 7th floor of a cities of death building >Had heavy urban defensive positions around the spire >tons of flamers as per Salamanders >Captain is in hand to hand with a carnifex and loses at end of 4 >By turn 5 entirely surrounded, some units in melee, losing Marines badly. I could leave.
>Keep drawing to higher floors to waste movement, flaming downwards taking out gaunts by the ass loads. >turn 7, two squads left, Tyranids keep failing rolls
>My two squads make every save they got until turn 8 >the moment the civilians got off world, they knew they could relax >Started failing their saves as the Salamanders Thunderhawk left them behind, hold full of civilians.

Hi, I am working on a chart over on another thread but it was 40k related and was curious what you folks thought, it is still kind of rough grammatically and thematically.
Oliver Davis
>Besides that I am willing to bet you can find artwork of 40k Orks drawn with dicks somewhere, rule34 is a very strict rule after all. The only time I've seen Orks drawn with dicks is when they are, oddly enough, banging a Sororitas... Yes, I do have said pic saved on my hard-drive. Not sure if I should share it here since it's particularly explicit
NEVER UNDERSTIMATE THE POWER OF RULE 34.

Grey Knights took down Daemon Angron, so I imagine the Custodes could throw down with the best of them in sufficient numbers.

>Are you going to be bitter and stick to 7th? Why would anyone do such a thing 6th and 7th were terrible, terrible edition that stripped what little fun was still left in 40k. Im not playing from early 7th and cant fucking wait. Looks pretty great ihmo.

Got any more pictures of that daemon engine? Looks like a neat mix of the defiler and mauler fiend. Count-as prince or knight maybe?

also: >Do you like NuMarines Looks pretty great. i mean, people bitched about true scale for ages. >What about the 8th edition rules? best parto so far. apart from the terrible unit names. >Are you going to start a new army for 8th? fuck no, 'nids for life. Ordered 1k more points tho.

>>Do you like NuMarines? What about the 8th edition rules? They're just bigger marines, which I think look wierd, I won't get any, but I don't hate them. So far the rules look great. >>Are you going to start a new army for 8th? No, continue an old one, and repaint old minis >>Are you going to be bitter and stick to 7th? Now I feel like sharing a story of an old apocalypse game I was in.
>Imperial Guard and Imperial Fists vs Orks, Orks, Orks, CSM, and Necrons. >I'm commanding a tank company including a Baneblade >Hold Baneblade in reserves
>Three objectives. Imperial housing complex, individual wanted by the inqusistion for questioning, and a fortress to protect. >First turn chaos takes the housing complex and start churning out 2d6 corrupted civilians (Same stats as conscripts) >Turn two my Baneblade comes in, I want to roll in right next to the fortress but my teammates think my tank line is compromised by the approaching orks. So they insist it be deploy closer to my side. >Turn three almost all of the orks across from me are dead, Necron player is sweating bullets as I loop around on his flank with a wall of iron. Bane blade is doing nothing this far from the fortress. >Turn four the fortress is lost to a Nob squad and other support, the person of interest is killed by the greenskins, and my tanks are killing tincan necrons but in vain as we have no way to retake the fort or hab complex
That Baneblade could have turned the tide if I had put it where I wanted it.
Evan Murphy
You did good, user. +10 internets for you.

Honestly, I just want to see a drawfag make a pic of Emps, Gork, Mork and Khorne cracking open a couple beers, barbecue some ribs and chilling on a massive couch while they watch the inevitable 3-way slaughter that's going to be playing out on Armageddon pretty soon.

>Do you like NuMarines?

>What about the 8th edition rules?
New player so i guess i do since they are supposed to be simpler and im not left behind mid-season on 7th.
>Are you going to start a new army for 8th? Yes, but im depending on big csm dudes (not nurgle) cause i dont want a manlet army.

1. Well I like the look of the basic infantry, and the lore isn't great but it could be worse. Overall I'd say I'm possitive.
2. Cant wait for 8th m8, can't wait.
3. Gonna keep building the new army I started during gathering storm, that got put on hold when my life wen't crazy
4. why would I do a damn fool think like that?

I disagree. At least blue doesn't zip his sleeves together and leave the zipper tag on the outside where his hands can't get to it.
Hudson Diaz
1 meh 2 looks good so far 3 no but i might expand my eldar or at least add another flavor of elf 4 no, time for a change and we all bitched about 7th daily
Jacob Long
I actually might try Marines now. I always thought the old marines looked really stupid.
Lucas White
>At least blue doesn't zip his sleeves together and leave the zipper tag on the outside where his hands can't get to it. >implying that zipper tag isn't the one for his coat, and the sleeves are just a kunnin' disguise to hide his weapons Shut it git. Ya blueberries iz lucky, not best!

Probably be bitter and stick to sixth or fifth just cause my codex was never updated to seventh and I enjoy AV14 Russes. That's the one thing keeping me from eighth.

Robert Gutierrez
Tzeentch and Kroot have the same pros and cons.
Henry Fisher
So traps are both gay and the best?
Jaxson Richardson
25% gay, which is still gay.
Nolan Nguyen
You need to think like a GW designer >AP- means they'll still get saves so it's not that bad! >ignoring almost all orks get a 6+ unless you pay for a still shitty 4+! It's not that GW doesn't use logic when making the rules, they just use bad logic
Robert Wilson
Flying Shadowswords anyone? And what did you anons do today?
Nathaniel Reyes
I worked a double shift so I could get to 40 and afford to buy all the new 8th stuff
Ryan Price
just as planned.
Asher Rivera
How would you feel about options for Ork colors to make a difference? Something like Red: +1 inch when charging Yellow: Wargear costs 1 point less per model to a minimum of 1 point Blue: 1 extra use of the re-roll strategem Green: Re-roll 1s on leadership tests Black: Re-roll 1s on saves
Sebastian Green
I like the NuMarines base units. Other new stuff, like the flying retards and the Fatass Captain, look terrible. I also wish the fluff was handled a bit differently.
I may sell my marines and play orks. I will continue to play CSM, however.
Andrew Howard
>Numarines
I think they handled them the best way they could, and I'm not opposed to the idea, but so far the models have been kinda crappy even if I wanted Truescale marines. If I use them at all, it'll be in minimal amounts instead of full replacements.
>Rules
Looking great so far. There's a good chance for things to end up balacned here. A few quirks I'm worried about, but we haven't seen the full set

colors should absolutely do something. Don't know that i think they should do that.
Asher Johnson
>Numarines I like the armor (the jump ones looks doofy though) The fluff for them is....ok. >Rules I genuinely like what I see there, I'm excited. >Army I've always wanted to do Kriegers, I'm just waiting to see how artillery is. If it's halfway playable I'm going for them. >7th Every army (aside from Admech) that I played in 7th was shit so no.

Do you like infantry or vehicles?
Asher Taylor
More importantly which half do you want? Might be easier to sell 'em.
Cameron Jones
The blue boys, yeah that'd be a good idea to say which side I want. I just want to get into 40k.
Gabriel Sanchez
>do you like numarines?
9/10 on models, 7/10 on fluff. Not a huge fan of the captain but the lieutenants make up for it
Im unreasonably happy for space marines to get an actual officer rank between sergeant and captain
>about 8th rules?
Love all changes so far, I stopped playing 40k in 5th so this is all positive for me.
>are you going to be bitter and stick to 7th?
Only 7th I've ever played was HH
Anthony Johnson
Vehicles, honestly. Should I do 3 armoured sentinels with autocannons and drop a priest? How do they preform?
Matthew James
>Do you like NuMarines? Yes, although I hope they do a good job of fleshing out their lore and making an excuse for their existence. >What about the 8th edition rules? so far they seem much simpler than the current clusterfuck, and that's a good thing. >Are you going to start a new army for 8th? Probably not because i'm poor.
Brandon Cox
I like numarines and the current 8e shit we've seen nid player Gonna buy the starter box and sell the death guard to cover the costs for xenos index 2, start a new army with the numarines
