-Hard Target
-Total Recall
-Predator
-Aliens
-Jason and the Argonauts

>>Gandahar/Light Years

I've never seen this one but it's got some French boobies, so it's on my list now.

>Bonus: this is a gold mine of reaction images

-Nineteen-Eighty-Four
-Monty Python And The Holy Grail
-The Fifth Element
-Kung Pow: Enter The Fist No I'm not streaming it.
-Sinbad: Legend Of The Seven Seas

>Lord of the Rings
>Miami Connection
>The Fall
>Dredd
>Mulan

I'm not sure what you mean by tg-related, but these usually inspire me:

- Krull
- Labyrinth
- Truman Show
- Neverending Story
- Coraline

Monthy Python & the Holy Grail is my favorite, but it doesn't inspire me to make awesome sessions.

I've only seen the American version (Light Years) but it was pretty fantastic. I keep meaning to watch the original.

It has a lot of French boobies.

>A Flight of Dragons
>Dragonslayer
>Wizards
>Kung Fu Hustle
>Clash of the Titans

>>Clash of the Titans
Old or new?

>>The Ice Pirates
Have to watch that again, it was fun.

Conan the Babarian
LotR trilogy
Monty Pythons Holy Grail
The Gamers
Deathstalker I and II

>any of the LotR (obviously)
>Star Wars (any of original trilogy, also obviously)
>Blade Runner
>Guardians of the Galaxy
that should cover the most relevant genres
i'll add;
>any of the first 3 Indiana Jones
for pulp

All hail Harryhausen

>Demolition Man
>Hellboy
>Epic Movie
>Treasure Planet
>Ferngully: The Last Rainforest

>Waterloo (1970)
>Gettysburg
>Bakshi's Lord of the Rings
>NausicaƤ
>Patlabor

You must be an oldfag in your 50s by now.

> conan the barbarian
> the fifth element
> laputa: castle in the sky
> jin-roh: the wolf brigade
> star wars

i like my stories high action, high emotion, and with great melancholy.

I'm 28. Is that bad?

>you are only allowed to watch movies that were produced after you were born

Proust had something to say about false nostalgia in the young.

>Ctrl + F
>No Zulu or Zulu Dawn

Nobody's mentioned 13th warrior yet.

What makes it false? Aside from Gettysburg I watched those as a kid or teen. Are you saying any nostalgia is false?

>Flesh+Blood
>The Fall
>The Mark of Zorro (1940)
>The Gamers
>Excalibur
In no particular order.

>Planet Of The Apes
>Ghostbusters
>City Heat
>The Matrix
>Undercover Brother

I'm 28 as well but I've only watched NausicaƤ and watched Bakshi's LotR this year. The rest does sound like it would inspire an old school miniatures wargamer from before Chainmail.

The only half-redeeming quality in that godawful shit.

>Baron Munchausen
>The Thing
>STALKER
>Blade Runner
>The first Conan movie

>Miami Connection
Absolutely impeccable taste in movies.
My list, in no particular order:
>Gymkata
>Master of the Flying Guillotine
>Death Race 2000
>Mutant Girls Squad
>Riki-oh: The Story Of Riki

>Death Race 2000
Aw dang, I forgot about that. Swap that for Ice Pirates here

Well, one thing must be that we got a kind of combined 80s and 90s in the east after the german reunification. And regional stations showed a lot of swords and sandals or king Arthur.

Dungeons and Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God (aka the second one faithful to the games)
Conan the Barbarian
The Princess Bride
Rankin Bass Hobbit
The Deluge

>Not the book of the totally fucking retardation
Hahahah

>Army of Darkness
>Drunken Wu-Tang
>Krull
>Sinbad of the Seven Seas (the live action one with Lou Ferrigno)

What, exactly, qualifies as a "Veeky Forums-related" movie?

Proust had also been dead for 63 years before the first Blockbuster store existed.

Scifi, horror, fantasy, supernatural and weirdo.

Is this worth watching?

Yes, because it's how actually games work off in D&D

>Paladin: I'm good
>Girl: I'm a slut
>Barbarian: Ams retar
>Cancer mage:[Children screams in the background]

Absolutely not.

I'm pretty sure Cancer Mage was in The Book of Vile Darkness 2.

Cancer mage is in the book of vile darkness (the movie) there is only one (movie) called book of vile darkness.

No, I'm talking about the splatbook.

No fucking idea buddy.

Kek

1 mazes and monsters
2 Highlander 3
3 metalstorm- the destruction of Jared syn
4 any twilight film
5 inglorious bastards

There was a Death Race 3000, you know.

>>Baron Munchausen

Most excellent and rare is the quality of your morals, good sir.

>Ghandahar
Just went and watched. No regrets, that was amazing.

I was/will be glad you enjoyed it, user!

>Twilight

Where did you watch it? Youtube or d/l somewhere?

Ironclad
Kingdom of Heaven
13th Warrior
Hero
Army of Darkness

I thought it was on YouTube

I feel like the Rock Hercules movie is a great ensemble Fantasy action film, and if I was going to say the most Veeky Forums inspiring that would be the type of thing I think of - movies with a team like that. Big Trouble in Little China absolutely fits in there too. As for GM inspiring movies, probably weird fantasy shit like The Dark Crystal, or maybe good characters versus the environment movies though I can't think of one.

In general, TV is much more suited for Veeky Forums inspired.

It was on youtube, surprisingly.

Excalibur
Goemon
Seven Samurai
Conan the Barbarian
Flight of Dragons

It's REALLY hard to pick just 5.

Escape from New York

It's better than the first two. The first one was so bad that it's funny. The second one was just boring.

What makes a movie Veeky Forums related?
Star Wars
Alien
Blade Runner
Conan the Barbarian
Ghostbustars

The Dune Miniseries gets an honorable mention, but it's a miniseries. Also the book is so much better than the movie or miniseries

Dark Dungeons

>Akira
>Lord of the Rings trilogy
>Once Upon a Time in the West
>Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
>Blade Runner

basically just genre movies

The Fifth Element
Army of Darkness
Aliens
Black Dynamite
Battle of Britain

This thread was surprisingly weaboo-free for Veeky Forums.

Well, obviously if someone asks what my top 5 tg-related manga were I would have had different answers. There are some decent anime movies out there but none of them are my top 5.

Bakshi's LotR is such a gorgeous pile of shit.

>Korgath of Barbaria Pilot (Youtude it)
Did you know that Korgoth of Barbaria was not a parody of Conan the Barbarian, but was in fact a parody of Thundarr the Barbarian, which was inspired by Conan?

>Empire Strikes Back
>Dredd
>Fury Road
>Last Witch Hunter
>Guardians of the Galaxy

Mmmm... my pleb tier tastes

Shit that comes to mind

>Six string samurai
>Streets of fire

youtube.com/watch?v=6fgTGtzamw8

>>John Wick
15 minutes of plot at the begining. And then he just kills people. WIth headshots. Hotline Miami the game.

>>SAGA Curse of the Shadow
Low budged fantasy movie. Funny to wach and tell "Hey that is totaly Witch King sword they bought being unable to afford an original design sword" Best elf in movie history imho

>>Barbarella
The real reason 40k is 40k and for example 50k or 35k. I'm ready to bet my left hand on this. May the dark gods be my witnesses. It is the only sci fi opera I know set in 40 000 before 40k.

as several movies of my choice have been already named, i'll add:

Heat
Ocean's Eleven
Das Boot

Conan the Barbarian
Robocop
Starship Troopers
Redline
Chocolate (because the real killer is not punches, kicks, bullets, katanas, or falling off of buildings, but terminally ill diseases)
