I'd put them a couple jots to the right on the deserving: we like to make up an occasional kobold hero and all, but on the whole they are still pretty evil fucks.

This would be the most recognizable Fighter I guess. Just put them at upper left, monk above him.

Fighters were only awful in 3.X and even then better than monks overall
In TSR editions they were your bread and butter class and pretty good at surviving, only behind paladin
In 4E Fighters are one of the best classes in the game
In 5E they are... okay, pretty good at dishing out the hurt, if nothing else

Monk suffers across editions and the PTSD stain of 3.5 fighter will never come off.

As for Tolkien he went through the horrors of war and then watched it happen again from the sidelines. He had to struggle with reconciling both his faith and his own morality with a cruel world just so later on a fat man with lots of money could call his work children's nonsense.

Still, I'd put Tolkien on Eastons position and Easton one or two grids lower. 100 suffering is somewhat extreme, considering his neighbors.

Easton should go lower, but Tolkien went through the god damn Great War. His real life suffering should put him at the top.

If we go by this logic any real person should score higher than any fictional one.
But at least switch Tolkien with Sanguinius - I can't see why he should be at 15 deserved.

He was built as one of the original 5 walkers, had a cool origin story and was an actually interesting mono-green character.
They replaced him with Hitler Elf, the woman who freed the Eldrazi just for kicks save beign retconned into a social awkward, well meaning elf who did nothing wrong. As for Garruk? He became generaically evil and his plot was abandoned.
So I guess he suffered way more than he needed to.

Why is horus on 95 suffering? He got the best death possible in the 40k universe, having his soul completely destroyed so it can't be fucked with by the chaos gods

That's a thing when dealing with co-ordinates, yes.
However the two axes here, in order to be said in a sensible manner, require us to state how much they suffer (Y-Axis) before how much they deserve it (X-Axis)

Was thinking the same thing. He's one of the top suffers but having him be more deserving over Horus, the guy who put him on the GT in the first place? If the Emperor was so deserving of his situation wouldn't that absolve Horus of the shit he did? It doesn't make any sense as to why both of them would be so high.
