WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR IT AND IT'S FINALLY HERE!

Grav is fixed
>if the target has a save greater than 3+, this weapon has a damage characteristic of D3

I expected more but okey.

Since we know Swarmlord's statline and they've now revealed Gillyman's weapons and rules, anyone have the math for who would win?

S5 means killing high toughness is a no

Makes me so excited.

Who gives a fuck about Robert Gayman

The real duel is Calgar V Swarmy

Really hope that my AdMech Kataphron Grave Cannons will have 6 strength to be able to kill huge things still.
If not, I guess I'll need a bunch more Arc Rifles for my Skitarii and pick up some Breachers.

>Let's start with the Centurians
>these guys have been popular since their release
Can you believe they'd lie like that!?

I don't hate them per-se, but geez, every time I look at them I can't help but think of pic related.

But they have been popular. They've consistently been one of the most used models of the current range.

Nobody might like how they look but the same can be said about the Grey Knights babycarriers and those are still very much used and popular.

Popular among WAACunts and people with no taste

Glad to hear that's going out the window, no more auto-include Grav in every SM list

>mfw i know a guy who bought THREE boxes of the ugly fucks just to powergame
into the trash

remember the new wounding chart, most every big thing is wounded on 5's by s5 now unless we start seeing t11 monstrosities

I just want to know some fucking point costs so I can start buying now and paint up in time

Why won't GW let me give them money?!

So you're saying I have 2 reasons to be glad they don't exist in the Horus Heresy?

>tfw I play Custodes
>but noone hates me because I have a fluffy list
>and no tanks

Yeah, i envy HH players never having to look at the shit-stains that are Centurions

Now they can fade away into obscure history.

in a year's time they should just be an awkward joke between SM players. kind of like how CSM remind each other that Warp-talons and Mutilators exist and laugh about it before forgetting them once more.

This is why I expect Punisher Cannons to be OP as fuck in 8e.

This is a good thing.

Do you think Torsion cannons will be good? I love Breachers, but their weapons are lack luster, and nobody in their right mind would ever go into melee with the fuckers.

Have the leaked chaos rules been posted yet? Or want me to spill the beans?

Do it, pls.

You mean the helldrake, LR, oblit and havoc pages?

Yeah that, just found it on natfka

Post the link

...

I keep trying but fucking captcha says spam

...

>guess I'll need a bunch more Arc Rifles for my Skitarii and pick up some Breachers.

Now i wonder, how the arc weapons, or haywire weapons in general works in this edition?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>Grav spam was the cancer of 7th
>Grav kiddies thought it wouldn't get nerfed
>Little did they know it would end up being a slightly shittier heavy bolter
>All those grav guns and cannons now being ripped off the models, or sold
>I never used grav once last edition

Feels fucking great man. WAAC faggots be damned

It's got +1 shot, -2 ap over a heavy bolter, plus the gimicky damage thing vs 3+.

>It's a slightly shittier heavy bolter

4 grav-cannons are averaging 6 wounds a turn on T6 3+sv or 5 dead terminators (5 wounds, 2 damage per wound).

It's still a lot better than the heavy bolter unless the point cost is through the roof, even without the extra damage gimmick.

More like heldrakes.

Every chaos list has them because they're good. But no one like the way they look.

They'd benefit immensely from an actual tail

>Land raider t8 16 wounds

I was hoping T9.

Why's the renegade knight not on the points list?

Has anything been over t8?

>Let’s start with the Centurions since these guys have been very popular since their release.
lol

Yeah opinion discarded.

Centurions were very popular. No one liked the models

Actual legs help it too.

I liked the devastator centurions. Though I'll freely admit that melee weapons on the centurion suit looked absurd.

Not that I've seen, but if anything would be it's the land raider

Why's there no thread for the massive chaos leaks

Waac fags still have 2 factions tailored for them.

According to leaks, Wraithknights have been nerfed. Still have to see the points costs though.

Just got back from the leaks, heldrakes dont fly anymore???

All I can see is they move fast and get bonuses to hitting flyers.

Thanks to the nature of the beast, your twin-linked punisher cannons only went up to an average of 20 wounds per turn instead of the current 15. Still awesome to have that many dice on the table!

It has the fly Keyword.

Have they? Whats his weapons rule?

I thought they did away with keywords, asside from faction keywords?

If swarmlord hits first he averages around 7-8 wounds

Nope. Look at the helldrake sheet again.

Now THAT is cool lookin model.
What have you used for legs and tail?

Looks to be a combination of a Heldrake and a Forgefiend.

There are still a handful. Generally connected to unit type. Infantry, vehicle, monstous, fly, psyker, titanic.

>Dreadnought buffs
this pleases me

it's quite literally the forgefiend with a heldrake's wings and head. The tail is the fiend's tendril chopped off and placed onto the fiend's chopped off nine tails. It looks like they didn't add on the fiend's smoke stacks either.

It pleases everyone. Hell yes there's a reason to bring them now.

t poorfag

How to calculate the points cost of a Thunderfire Cannon in 8th edition, by Games Workshop, age 42:
Thunderfire Cannon - 28 points base
Thunderfire Cannon (weapon) - 30 points

Techmarine Gunner - 36 points base
A servo-harness isn't a separate wargear item, but it's known to be two servo arms, a flamer, and a plasma cutter
Servo arm - 12 points
Servo arm - 12 points
Flamer - 9 points
Plasma cutter - 7 points

(28+30) + (36+12+12+9+7) = 134

Tau rules and points costs got leaked, they got nerfed HARD. A riptide is 300+ points minimum.

>But no one like the way they look.
Drakes are metal as fuck, they look great

Looks like they replaced the forge/maulerfiend tails with the heldrake's neck, then shoved the tendril at the end of the neck.

I hate that Chaos become the fucking dinobot faction.

I wish it would become the dinobot faction MORE.
Less spiky marines, more freaky biomachines please.

With Forgeworld becoming a bigger part of the rules we can avoid the Dinobots by simply fielding Forgeworld tanks.

103 points for a drop pod.

"Enjoy" your new codex.

This.

Just don't really know what those could be.

Land raider is the only vehicle with 2+ save though, monoliths and knights have to settle for 3+

You guys know all the SM rules just got leaked right?

>don't want to be spiky marines
>don't want darkmech stuff
>just want to complain

When will they ever learn?

>not already running breacher suicide units
>not already eletrecuting tards for the omnissiha

>Has anything been over t8?

I'm thinking the only thing more durable in Canon is a Monolith

WAIT JUST A ZOGGIN' MINUTE 'ERE!

You're telling me we didn't have a Faction Focus for the standard marines yet?

The Orks, Nids AND the Tau got their faction focus before the beakies?!

This is highly amusing to me.

>Tau rules and points costs got leaked, they got nerfed HARD. A riptide is 300+ points minimum
>300+ pts MINIMUM
If the average player plays 1500 pt games (I used to just play quick 1,000 pt games back in the days of 4-5e, so 1,500 pt games sound insane to be honest), having a Riptide's total point count take AT LEAST 20% of your army value is a pretty damning nerf.

Any other faction rules/point costs get leaked recently? I see SM's codex just did, but what about the rest of us gits?

Now the monoliths are softer with more wounds (W20 3+ vs W16 2+)-

bolterandchainsword.com/topic/334013-full-leaked-blood-angels-rules-other-space-marine-prices/

Leaked rules for blood angels and space marine wargear here, mfw predator autocannon, although plasma cannons seem entirley pointless compared to plasma guns.

So I'm thinking of using this detachment or whatever it's called to start an army.

1-2 HQ
0-3 Troops
0-2 Elites
0-2 Fast Attacks
3-6 Heavy Support
0-2 Flyers

So with that I'm thinking about starting my army with the following models.

-HQ-
Swarmlord
Hive Tyrant -Flying probably-

-Troops-
Tyranid Warriors x6-12 depending on points
Genestealers x10

-Elites-
Haruspex
Maleceptor

-Fast Attack-
Gargoyles x20

-Heavy Support-
Trygon
Exocrine
Toxicrene
Tyrannofex
Carnifex x2

-Flying-
Crone/Harpy

As you can tell it's heavily nidzilla. Do you think I could hold my own with something like this with ranged heavy lists in 8th?

>GW makes melee hordes good again
>nid players all immediatly go flyrant nidzilla

>Been hoping for autocannon to hit for D3
>Predator version hits for 3 straight up
>No reason for Guard version not to do the same
Uhh, uhh, okay! Okay, I'll take it!

Primaris predator
2d6 shots S9 Rend -3 D3
incoming

Man, no saves for Plasma anymore when they get hot?

That's gonna encourage some low power shots.

>Grimaldus doesn't list Servitors as options
Hey, that sounds pretty good. Means he always has them and they don't count separately anymore.

Well, we already have Strength 12, so who knows

I made my own nurgle one from tervigon and rotfly parts.

Deep strike got a lot more powerful. Of course pods are more expensive

Oh wait, nevermind, they just have that list in a terrible order.

I fucking hate that the standard 3 Servitors will now set him to 126 points.

"Coming down over 9 and no scatter" is far worse than the "come down over 1 and move it closer to where you want it if it scatters closer to an inch or over some impassible shit" that pods used to do.

>That's gonna encourage some low power shots.

Not only is it no saves, it kills outright instead of causing a wound.

You can only ever have 2 now though.

You also can say when exactly all deepstrikers come in, no rolling whatsoever.

Being good feels unnatural and alien to them

I don't get why you'd say that to my post since I only have one flyrant.

Also, when you shoot a unit with a biovore do they still spawn those little floating guys and if so don't you have to prepay for those?

...

>going by average when overkill isn't a thing.

5 wounds is only 3 dead termies

Going to be dropping space marines in my first game, against a chaos player. We both like big games, so we're doing 3000 points (About equal to a 2000 point game right now with how much more everything costs).

What am I missing in this list for Imperial Fists?

For faction entry nidzillas are easier

Will the Tesseract Vault finally be worth the dosh now?

NEW MARINES A SHIT

Fluff ramifications

>Primaris have new organs. These.are not defined
>Primaris are confirmed to not be immune to chaos or mutation, by virtue of being confirmed to not be confirmed immune to chaos or mutation
>Cawl may not have worked out all the kinks

Heresy is back on the menu

>Crisis suits are T5 and 3 wounds.
>Broadsides are T5 and 6 wounds.
>Rail weapons have rending.
>Ion weapon overcharge much less deadly than plasma overcharge.
>Drones finally soak wounds like they did in 3rd edition.
>The worst possible result on the morale die counts as an auto-pass.

You know what, as long as the devilfish is tougher than a rhino, the fliers get fixed, and Hammerheads are good, I'm fine if some waacshit gets nerfed.

most people will be happy to see riptide spam end
and it fits the fluff better, the riptide is supposed to be the Zeta gundam not the GM, you arent supposed to see them everyday
